How to migrate my library of Photos (new application 2015) apple to Lightroom CC?

How to migrate my library of Photos (new application 2015) apple to Lightroom CC?

Photos for OSX is quite a new application, so there is no plug-in available or the details of a future version of LR that can support.

If keep you your iPhoto library, you can use the plug-in integrated into LR CC, LR5 or LR6.

If you export versions to the office or place duplicates in standard folders in the Finder, they understand any changes already made. You can then import into LR for the folder (s) using 'Add '.

I want to be able to view my iPhotos photos and my albums on the Photos.  I thought it was going to happen automatically in the month of April when I had this computer.  I'm a Mac user for about 25 years.

I've migrated my iPhoto Library in pictures.  He moved only 133 photos.  I almost 34 000 pictures in my iPhotos library.

My albums are no where to be seen.  I backed everything up on my external hard drive.

    Thank you.

Photos may not be not open your photo library in iPhoto on an external drive and created a library of Photos empty with only a few pictures Photo Stream, if most of your pictures are missing.   Have you tried to migrate the original iPhoto Library again by dragging the icon of Photos?

  • How to migrate my songs for the new device

I recently bought a 8 TB external USB hard drive, to replace my old and without SIN, that lasts long, but its slow as me transfers via the network, and now that I have so much music collected, 5 to a value of MP3 I want to move to a USB 3 device that connects locallay to my iMac which is equal to the much faster loading time.

problem is my SIN was a mapped network drive

my new camera is an external USB

How can I tell itunes that all my music I copied on the hard disk of 8 to match the new location without having to massage beginning n?

    I have about 300 playlists

most all have their album artwork that took me months to do.

I can't find a way for the life of me, to know how to say my music to itunes or point to the new location. If I remove the SIN, itunes can't see the music and he wants to find, but this requires pointing each track one by one to his new place.

Music folder structure remained, but instead drive mapped, it is a local usb and I do not understand how to tell itunes to simply look here for my music...

Instead, he wants me to locate each track... it's crazy.

is there a simple way to do this?

or am I obliged to all delete and load each one by one album, create a playlist for it and move on the next album? That's how I did it. If I drag n drop the entire folder 5 TB MP3, it's a mess that itunes can't handle so I load an album, one at a time and create playlist for her. and I hate having to do again for 5 TB of mp3s

  • Move the library of photos from applications to the images folder

I recently used the import in photos app option to import my photos images folder in the photos app.

I deleted all the images in the images folder and discovered later, the photos app choose to save the photo library in applications (?). Why, I don't know.

Reading on the default location of the photo apps, I learned that the photo library must be in images (not in applications)...

For the life of it, I can't move the photos to the pictures library. I can't choose 'copy to another location', I can't drag and drop, I can duplicate but only in again once the applications folder.

How to get to the library of photos of my applications?

I recently used the import in photos app option to import my photos images folder in the photos app.

    How exactly import you?

When you launch Photos it will create the library of Photos in the pictures folder.  Are you really seeing the photo library in Applications or the Photos.app? The icons are very similar: compare file name extensions.

The photo library looks like this - a fan of pictures.

The Photos.app shows that the flower of the unique Rainbow and not a fan.  What you describe is typical of the Photos.app.  It is specially protected under the system and cannot be removed from the Applications folder. Any other file or folder that you copy into the applications folder can be deleted.

  • How Merge iPhoto, Aperture, library of Photos (and avoid duplication)?

Hello, I had several iPhoto and opening libraries which were badly named and who had no doubt duplicates. I have now opened and Photos created new libraries. Then the Photos seems to have renamed some of the libraries, I think that each of my old iPhoto/Aperture libraries has a corresponding photo library (except one).

I would switch to a lightroom finder-hosted workflow and I want to get all my photos in a big file (or a folder with subfolders dated), with all duplicates marked for deletion. Ideally, I'll end with a master and a modified version of the final files, but if it's too hard, I'm OK with a few masters.

Is it possible to automate this process?

Attached a screenshot of the mess...

I would like to use Power Photos to merge libraries of Photos into a library. Pictures lacks tools to merge libraries.

Photos of power can move photos between libraries of Photos, as well as find duplicates.

  • How to put iTunes library on the new iPhone 5 s computer

I saw others asking similar questions, but the answers involve to make a backup of your old computer.  I can't do it.  My old computer has gone, I have no access to him, I can in no way make any kind of relief. I have a new computer now, and after much delayed due to all simply not wanting to fight with him, I decided to finally put on iTunes and sync my iPhone 5.  Now, I've been bitten by this before.  Several years ago is the same thing with another computer and when I tried to sync my iPhone 4, deleted everything on iTunes the phone and I could access is no longer dozens of songs I had bought on the phone.  They have not appear at all in my iTunes library, Apple told me they have not can recover songs even though I bought and paid for them, and I ended up losing hundreds of dollars.  I won't do that again.

I wonder if there is anything that I can synchronize my current iTunes library on my 5 iPhone to iTunes library, I'm about to download to my new computer.  Any other response I saw said I should do a backup on my old computer, but I can't do it.  Is it possible to just transfer my phone library directly into my computer iTunes library?  All the music I have purchased legally through the iTunes store on my phone and comes in my library on my phone.  My new computer has Windows 10, fully updated and everything else on the computer functions normally.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer!

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not that a transfer backup device and media has been planned with you keep a master copy of your media on a computer that is in itself independently supported against loss.  To use a device with a different configuration, you pass the old library from a computer or a backup directly in the new configuration, not the device to the library. Synchronization of media isn't a way, computer to the device, update the contents of the device to the content on the computer, update or restore the content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases that can be transferred to a computer.

Redownload or transfer your iTunes Store purchases an iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201267 - 'this feature only works for content purchased from the iTunes Store. From iOS9 is more apps that now need to be re-downloaded directly from the store.

To transfer other items from an i-device to a computer, you will need to use third-party commercial software.  See this document in turingtest2: recover your iTunes library from your iPod or device iOS - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 even this method can fully recover what you originally had in the library. For example, in order to save space during synchronization if you had converted music files at a lower rate, or photos at a lower resolution, it is these lower quality files that will pick you up.

If you subscribe to the Apple music, titles that are not part of the content that you have purchased or downloaded may not be transferred and must be downloaded directly from iCloud.

  • How to copy a library of Photos to iCloud on multiple Macs using external drive

250 GB +, it seems much more efficient to copy my library to a portable external hard drive and then manually copy the other 2 Mac, I want him to.

But I just tried this and the 2nd Mac I copied it to past all night "sending" to iCloud. Which is meaningless because he has just received a very up-to-date copy of the entire library.

I'm worried library iCloud is stupid enough so that it is now useless re-upload the your entire library. Where all he had to do was sync. Dropbox seems to be a lot smarter about what iCloud.

Silent - not at all - when you move the Photos of the library must check that the library is identical to the version of iCLoud - it says downloading but is really check - trary

is the only possible way if can tell what's in the library the ICloud lib complare

probably the best way is to simply use iCloud photo library and do not try to outsmart it - login to iCloud on each system bearing the same Apple ID and turn on ICPL and let it download to each system

  • How to migrate a 'ReplicatedEnvironment' to a new set of servers?

    Hi all

Our current 'ReplicatedEnvironment' must be migrated to a new set of servers with a new set of IP addresses.
Is it mandatory to have at least the connectivity between the "master" Server and the new servers?

I'm doing a local simulation as follows:
    |-NodeName-|-GroupName-|--NodeHostPort--|---HelperHost---|----EnvHome----|
    | Current1 | TEST      | 127.0.0.1:2001 | 127.0.0.1:2001 | ./envCurrent1 |
    | Current2 | TEST      | 127.0.0.1:2002 | 127.0.0.1:2001 | ./envCurrent2 |
    | Current3 | TEST      | 127.0.0.1:2003 | 127.0.0.1:2001 | ./envCurrent3 |
With success, he created a ReplicatedEnvironment with Current1 as master and Current2/3 as replicas.
Once the master and replicas are set, replica members are explicitly removed.
java -jar je-4.1.7.jar DbGroupAdmin -groupName TEST -helperHosts 127.0.0.1:2001 -removeMember Current2
java -jar je-4.1.7.jar DbGroupAdmin -groupName TEST -helperHosts 127.0.0.1:2001 -removeMember Current3
Then all the ReplicatedEnvironment are stop and I try to start a new ReplicatedEnvironment with the following configuration unsuccessfully :-(
    |-NodeName-|-GroupName-|--NodeHostPort--|---HelperHost---|----EnvHome----|
    | New1     | TEST      | 127.0.0.1:3001 | 127.0.0.1:3001 | ./envCurrent1 |
    | New2     | TEST      | 127.0.0.1:3002 | 127.0.0.1:3001 | ./envNew2     |
    | New3     | TEST      | 127.0.0.1:3003 | 127.0.0.1:3001 | ./envNew3     |
Each je.info.0 displays the following message: "new unknown node to the rep New1/2/3(-1) group.

So... is - it possible to somehow change the internal replication metadata to avoid the need for a "visibility on the network" between the old and the new infrastructure?

    ARO
    / Caesar.

    Caesar,

In a future release, we have a new feature that allows you to change the network address of a replicated environment, so you can do what you are trying to accomplish. This is a new option on DbGroupAdmin and a new method on ReplicationGroupAdmin:

    updateAddress-
    # update the network address of a
    # node. The node should not be alive when
    # address update

Note that it won't let you change the name of the node. The node name is unique for the Group and is immutable. To change the node name, you will need to remove and re-add the node. However, I don't think you really need to change the node name, network address.

However, I fear this is not available publicly yet. In 4.1.7 you will need to add the new nodes and remove old nodes, but as you say, it requires network connectivity.

Another option is to use DbDump to generate data on the application of one of the intermediate nodes. You would have to DbLoad which in a production node, use DbEnableReplication to reproduce and add nodes to the group.

I will also contact you by email to suggest another option.

  • I thought Mao of moving from a PC to a Mac.  Do I have to purchase a new compatible version Apple with Lightroom, that I have to pay to upgrade or can I get the new version free?

I think to change from a PC to a Mac.  Should I purchase a new compatible version, Lightroom Apple, can I switch to it, or can I do it without I paid for the PC version?

What Keith said, to be more precise, you can install the same version of Lightroom for which you have a serial number.

If you want to change the version say LR 4 to 5 LR, you will have to pay for the upgrade.

  • How to export the library Photos Apple to Adobe Creative Cloud maintaining the original RAW files

    Hello community,

I feel 'stupid' as I was on Adobe on my Windows system, then when I went to Mac, I used their Apreture and having migrated to their last Photos app, and affected by the many limitations of it, I try to export my library of Photos Apple together (two of them) in Adobe Creative Cloud.

The big worry here is that if such a device exists on end of Adobe? And, personally, I spoke with support from Apple for the Photos app and I was told there is _no way_ to export their photos app original RAW files!  It's horrible for a photographer!

Basically, just want to know if there is a way to migrate the library of Photos Apple (keeping the RAW digital files) on Adobe Creative Cloud.  I searched and not found an answer in the FAQ.

    Thank you

    Ramiel

Using the Apple Photo of Unmodified Original export feature, it seems, the original RAW. CR2 file could export... so looks like I have to export as this manually and reorganize everything.

Adobe really needs to have this feature/plugin.  Suggest this feature on http://feedback.photoshop.com and suggest others do as well.

  • Plug-in for importing the library of Photos of OSX to Lightroom?

Hi all, I upgraded a library iPhotos to the new Photos app when it first came out. Since I am aware that Lightroom had a 'Import iPhoto' plugin, I always thought a 'Import of Photos' plugin would be available. But from my research on the Internet, it seems that Adobe has not developed a. My problem is that I have spent a lot of time to organize my photos into albums in the new library of Photos app, and I can't afford to redo all this back in Lightroom. These aren't simple stereotypes that can be simply rearranged by date - they are images of a multi-year research project and have 36 000 photographs relating to very specific categories of information. Given that many photos appear on several albums, it is not as easy as the export of each album as a group to, and then import them into Lightroom to keep separated/grouped.

I would be grateful for any help on how to import my library of Photos in Lightroom (CC or other) while keeping the organization from the album - the knowledge to see if Adobe (or a third-party developer?) has plans to make a plug-in similar to the one they had for iPhotos. Essentially, the current limitation means that I cannot become a permanent user of Lightroom and will to always be attached to my Photos app.

PS - open my photo library in iPhoto does not work either - it shows that the albums I've done until I upgraded to Photos, not worth year-end additional organization I've done since. I was surprised by that, because I was hoping it would be a miracle solution (i.e. opening of new photo library in iPhoto, then using "Import from iPhoto" Lightroom plugin).

You should be able to export versions of Photos with IPTC metadata. Export to the desktop or even better, in a folder on a regular basis using the Finder. Import duplicates in Lightroom and you should be able to quickly use keywords to make collections if you add temporary words prior to export.

  • How to transfer pictures from iPhoto photo app /icloud app

my photos on an external hard drive in iPhoto app, when I switch to camera app, there is no way to sync my pictures with iTunes, what do I do now?

I want to transfer pictures from iPhoto for photo app, I want to synchronize my phone with iTunes, I have 50 GB iCloud because I don't have enough space for the pictures on the mac pro book / that's the reason why I have external hard drive storage photos in iPhoto app / and finally, iPhoto app is not God to keep photos and synchronize with iTunes no more?

And finally, iPhoto app is not God to keep photos and sync with iTunes, not more?

You can use Photos to keep your library and you can use iTunes to sync the photos in your iPhoto library or a library of Photos on your iPhone.

Only, you can not use iTunes to sync photos to your iPhone, if you use iCloud photo library on your iPhone.

But what application now do you use on your Mac to store your library of photos - news pictures for Mac application or you use iPhoto?  It's not quite clear to me your question, because you MENTION both applications.

iTunes can sync photos of two applications for your iPhone, as long as the iPhone is not synchronized with iCloud photo library.

How to recharge my hard drive with photos that are stored in iCloud?  After installing a new hard drive, there's no pictures found in the Photos, and I get this error, "could not find the picture of system library named"Library.photoslibrary Photos".

Soon as your App Photos or iPhoto lost track of your photo library, or there has not been migrated from your old drive. You can create an empty library and probably enable iCloud photo library for photos to upload to the cloud.
