How to open an .eml file that comes in my Windows Live Mail?

I can't open the .eml files that come in my Live Mail to a friend. I have previously saved as .mht files in the past, but it doesn't now. I use Windows 7 and I want to be able to open these files without all the trouble I had.  Any help is appreciated!

It is impossible to know what kind of program created the file.

Ask your friend what kind of program he uses.

Here you can leave the Windows Club:

WLM to blocked sender tool: manage the list of blocked in Windows Live Mail senders

Add, delete, export, and import into WLM with this freeware tool.

There may be times that you want to export and save the list. This tool will also let you export all the identifiers e-mail blocked with one click. Just click on the export list, and the entire list will be saved in text format, in the folder of the program.

I followed your instructions and now have "storage folders" visible. However that a single user account recorded message records showing if you keep double clicking and scrolling down. There are 3 other user accounts whose records are not visible. I tried as well by importing and using Windows Easy Transfer for all alphanumeric codes in Outlook Express. Assuming you have the message OE together on the new computer store, (the OE message store is hidden in XP in Documents and Settings, not my Documents), then go to the next topic. If you still have questions, continue your problem here.

  • Windows live mails in double - one of my accounts that I use on Windows Live Mail will receive twice the same email

When I opened my laptop (always on), windows live mail will automatically connect and checks for new messages. I have 3 email accounts, but one of them receives the same e-mail twice. I contacted my ISP provider and was informed that the messages I get are only on the server once and that Windows Live Mail is the cause. I looked at the settings and therefore has a technician from my ISP and do not see why this is happening. Can anyone offer assistance.

    @Maksteel

For beginners... Disable the following in the "Général" tab of Windows Live Mail (WLM) options

    1. to access the general tab--> WLM 2011/2012(Alt F O M) or WLM 2009 (Alt T O)

-Send and receive messages at startup

-Search for new messages every minute (s) ' x'

    2. make sure that the account receive duplicate emails is not configured to leave a message on the server (default of WLM is to "leave a message on the server)

    3. continue to use WLM by send and receive in manual mode, if no duplicates re-enable each item one time and repeat the test for the cause.

If reconfiguration is not working... Post your question in the forum of answers from Microsoft Mail and make sure that you include the type of e-mail account (Pop3, IMAP, Http) with the double problem.  Note: If IMAP double-check your configuration in your web account interface. FYI... recommended are the WLM versions for each operating system: XP (2009), Vista (2011), Windows 7/Windows 8 (2012)

  • Help, please! 100 e-mail exporting do not in files exported from the old Windows Live Mail to the new computer laptop

I just bought a new laptop, have both Windows 7 and both have Windows Live Mail. I have several folders in the program my old portable Windows Live Mail and hundreds of emails in each folder. I experienced the process of export of emails every day now and no matter how I try (one folder at a time, highlighting of the emails in the said folder, simply choose the Inbox - as all the files I have are subfolders in the Inbox) - I can not send more than one in each folder when I imported the emails into the new Windows Live Mail. Why please? Please can someone explain how to copy every email in each folder on my new laptop it please!

The properties which means the message are added to the file by Windows to make it possible to find e-mail messages by property (as of and object). If the memory stick is not formatted in NTFS, the properties of these files can be preserved. It is of no real consequence; Windows will just write again when the messages end up on a drive formatted in NTFS. So: either the memory stick format NTFS, or answer Yes to the prompt to copy files without their properties.

  • How can I permanently I change the default font in Windows Live Mail (Win 7)

I just got this laptop that is running a newer version of Windows Live Mail I know.  The police of default e-mail is attached to Calibri 12 which is extremely low.  I want to its default value to Ariel 14.  Is there a way I can do this default font setting permanently?  I can't find anything under 'help' that helps me.

    Jill

    Try this.

    WLMail open

    Left-click to select your account

then on the drop down menu - options - mail

    Compose tab

Fonts seem to be listed there.

Click font settings, to adapt to your needs,

and see if this holds for emails send/dial

If it works and is OK, it's similar on the tab [read] - fonts for reading emails.

  • How can I create groups"in my list of Contacts Windows Live Mail?

I could easily create "Groups" for e-mailing to multiple receipents in Outlook Express.  Now with Windows Live Mail, it seems impossible.  Is there a way to create "groups" in WLM?  And, if so, why their No. easily accessible way to accomplish?

Windows Live Mail does not groups, but you can get much the same effect by using the categories. Here are a few comments that should help you: what happened to contact groups? Although they are part of Windows Live Mail 2011, you should be able to adapt to the 2009 version.

  • How can I stop spam into my Inbox to in windows live mail

I can't configure my windows live mail to set up so I don't get junk e-mail or spam in my Inbox. When I try to get help everything seems set with hotmail and non-windows live

(WLM) Unique Windows Live Mail spam settings are on the configuration screen"Security Options"

    In WLM 2011

    ALT F > Options > Security Options

If not use account type Hotmail with the HTTP in WLM, the "Security Options" is the only possible configuration for pop3 accounts.  FYI - your pop3 account provider can provide junk e-mail filter settings in the web interface of the account.

If you have a Hotmail type account program WLM installation and the junk e-mail filter in the previous Hotmail web interface takes on the local WLM junk e-mail filter. To set up a filter spam from Hotmail type account

-Login with your Hotmail username/pw account at http://mail.live.com or hotmail.com

-Click Options (upper-right) > more Options > filters and reports

    > Check 'Standard' or 'exclusive '.

-Click Options (upper-right) > more Options > Safe and blocked senders

    > Configure each section (shippers, security mailing lists, the blocked sender) according to your specific preferences

Note: A good amount of junk e-mail by spammers is sent with an addresess email sending false or often changed. Block a sender does not spam from appearing in your Inbox.  Caution when blocking a sender - test message properties to make sure you does not clog your e-mail address or an existing one comes into contact with address - since spammers can have forged headers (sender) with your or contact address.
