My PC always tells me that no connection is available.

My router is on my phone and &'iPad can connect to it, but can't my Qosmio.

I managed to connect it via Ethernet cable but when I took it off it still cannot pick up all the broadband signals. Any ideas?

There must be a problem with the WLAN settings.
    Try restarting your router.
Check if both devices are set to the same WLAN standard.

Play around with the WLAN settings. I can't imagine that there is another reason for this little problem of WLAN.

  • Qosmio PX30T-A-14r: how to change the type of keyboard language

You just bought an AIO Qosmio px30t-a-14r / windows 8.1

At the start, during the first installation, I had to choose the language and keyboard settings.

    I chose the language: English-uk.
For the keyboard, I had the choice of 3 types:
    -Belgian comma
    -dot Belgian (or point?)
    -Belgian french
    I chose Belgian by commas.

However, later in the installation process I was able to test response of the keys on the keyboard with this configuration.
    It was the wrong setting.

How can I change to "Belgian point" or "Belgian french.
Should be one of these 2 but I don't know how to change it.

    Has anybode a suggestion?

    Thank you
    RC

    It is not very complicated:
Press the Windows key + C to open your charms... Then select the charm of settings and then click Change PC settings. Click the time and language, and then select the language and region. On the right, select your language, and then click Options. Click Add a keyboard, and then select the keyboard you want in the list.
This will add your selection to the list of keyboards.
You can remove a keyboard by clicking on it and click on delete.
In addition, you can also add several keyboard layouts and switch between them when necessary.

You can switch between your keyboard layouts by clicking on the language and the keyboard at the bottom right and then select a keyboard layout. Or you can use the 2nd method: on your desktop, you will see your current language in the lower right corner next to the clock. Click on your current language and choose a keyboard layout.

  • Y50 external microphone does not work do not

Bought the Y50 because it is decent spec for video editing (which works well), but - can not get the external microphone to work.

    Tried a headphones/mic adapter.

Tried all the different settings in Realtek HD Audio Manager

I tried Control Panel / its parameters - this allows me to use the ' Mic in towards the front (black), even if it's on the side of the laptop - the volume indicator shows a signal comes from the microphone. The other "Microphone" device also shows that it works for the built-in microphones. I can type each microphone independently to see the answer in each Panel.

But - I can't get any software on the laptop to record really any external microphone signal, what I need for the voice-over.

The Installer 'Configure your speech recognition' "Assistant configuration of the Microphone" show a small volume entry but repeat myself "the computer did not hear you clearly.

    Update

Feel a bit of a numpty - the microphone works now - whenever I tried to hear the recording of the test and I got the silence - that as a failure - I just needed to unplug the microphone from the socket to allow the speakers to play confused recording. Read white noise headphones - must deal separately with this!

Thus, the headphone splitter adapter is the key.

    Hello

Yes - as I posted in the update - separator solved the problem thanks.

  • transformed into external speaker output jack external microphone input!

Hi, 2 weeks ago, I bought a HP Pavilion dv4-3006tx. I tried with 3 different microphone to the laptop but the microphone does not work. The microphone to work on other computers. There is no problem with the microphone. In the sound control panel, the external microphone is displayed, so I guess that the pilot detected an external mic, but it's not. Here's what I've done so far to solve the problem:

    (1) I've updated the driver from the HP website with the latest driver. I consulted HP online agent.

    (2) I've updated the BIOS with the latest version of the software. I consulted HP online agent.

    (3) I checked all devices in the sound control panel and the external microphone as default communication device.

    (4) I checked the external microphone volume in the world. The volume is maximum.

    (5) I reinstalled the audio driver.

    (6) I tried to use a linux ubuntu on this laptop to check if a problem persists, and Yes, the external microphone still does not work.

    (7) I tried google several days on this subject and I found nothing. Perhaps no one is facing the same problem like me. That is why I would get help from HP here.

The internal mic works fine only problem with external mic. There are two jacks on the symbol of a laptop labeled for external speaker and another for external microphone. What's funny here is that when I plugged 3 helmet both decision they come to produce sounds. Is this a hardware error? Any other solution that I can try?

    Hi Maxi32,

The port of microphone on your model is designed for a headset microphone.

This port also works as a headphone port - it works as expected.

Here is a picture of the support page for your laptop:

Generally, these types of microphones have three black lines on the connector instead of standard for microphones and two for the headphones.

This document is for Mini series, but it's the same type of port:

    Hi Saba,

    Thanks for the reply.

We suggest that you visit the computer manufacturer website and install the latest chipset drivers and also update the BIOS and check if that helps.

For the latest version of the BIOS and the chipset drivers on the manufacturer's Web site, see the link below:

    http://support.ASUS.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1

    Warning of the BIOS:

  • External microphone not detected and faulty internal mic on Satellite Pro U400

I have had several headphones with microphone and taken headphones 3.5 and the laptop just will not detect them. I tried to disable the internal sound system, or just the MIC internal, but not luck.

The internal MIC is a (stronger if the external microphone is plugged) whirring background noise which means I can't use it for work.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Which is really strange.
Are you using the original recovery image Toshiba and Toshiba driver sound?

U400 is older model laptop and I would like to know since when you have this problem.
I can't imagine that you got from day1.

  • All-in-one - Qosmio PX30t - Bluetooth driver for Windows 8

    Hi, guys!

Please help put Bluetooth on my new Toshiba PX30T.

All devices which he founded are offline and when I tried to download additional drivers, that it cannot install it, saying something like "has nothing to upgrade. But this model has Bluetooth...

It is Windows 8, and many people say that you need to download drivers for it to successfully run the Bluetooth.

Has anyone had the same problem?
    What did you do?

Thank you very much in advance for your answers.

    Hello

    I confused m.
Firstly what Qosmio PX30T do you have exactly?
Not all models support the same features!

Second: I know the series of PX30T was already pre-installed with Win 8.
Everything has been implemented and installing drivers extra isn t necessary.
That's why I put t understand why you want to install driver BT (BT support function), if it was already installed.

I think you should check if BT has been activated.
Press the Win + C-> change PC settings-> Wireless-> slider Bluetooth on / off

If its greyed out, it means that BT could not be supported.

  • Qosmio X 770-screen external of ZR2740w would have worked correctly?

    Hi guys,.

with my old monitor giving up - I'm looking for a new external monitor connect my Qosmio X 770 to.

Because of that I am interested in the ZR2740w monitor.
But I don't know if the called monitor will work properly and at full resolution with my Qosmio.

The ZR2740w complete resolution is 2560 x 1440 and specifications for my Qosmio (http://www.toshiba.eu/discontinued-products/qosmio-x770-107/) say that the res maximum support an external monitor is 2 048 x 1 536, but nVidia (the manufacturer of the graphics card) said that their GeForce® GTX 560 M supports the flat displays up to 2560 x 1600 (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-560m/features).

Seeing that I don't have anyware to try this comibation before I acutally buy the ZR2740w - I wonder if you have any adavice?

    This combination works ok?

    Thank you.

    JJ

You will be very happy if someone on this forum has the same laptop Qosmio and use this external screen and can send comments.
In my opinion you have to buy and test at home or talk with your local dealer and test it in the store.

In the worst case you can return. I put t know how it works in your country, but generally you have 14 days to return the product if you are not happy with it.

  • Satellite L50-B916 - recording external Microphone does not work

    Hello

Connect an external microphone to * Headphone\Microphone combo socket *, still records through portable microphone instead of externally. Registration of external Microphone does not work.

    What Miss me? Please notify.

    Model: L50-B916
    Screenshot: http://s12.postimg.org/j8h3v5k4d/laptop.jpg

I can't say with certainty what may be wrong here, but two things confuse me:
-somehow your external MIC is obviously not detected because in the case when the external microphone is connected laptop switches automatically to it
-I don't understand why there are two identical entries under recording devices.

When I connect my headphone it is always a single entry (Conexant SmartAudio HD default unit), but my machine automatically goes to the external microphone only.

Have you tested the feature with some applications like Skype?

  • Impossible to activate the external Microphone on my Satellite

    Hello

Could you please after some info on your laptop model?
What laptop Satellite you have exactly?

With regard to the external microphone:
Please connect the microphone to the mic jack on your laptop.
Then go to control panel-> sound-> recording tab control

Check here if the external microphone is available. If so, set as default device.

He won't let me launch the Windows Sound Recorder software, because it signals that * no. recording device * is installed.
I've seen this mentioned on other external forums, but have yet to find an answer.

If the sound card is equipped to record / captures sound via the external microphone jack?
If so, what should I do to activate it?
    Otherwise, why have a microphone?
