  • How to reinstall Windows 8 Pro

    Hello

How to reinstall in the same system windows 8 pro with already purchased product key online. I bought one DVD product key. There is a future for guidance only. Because if I'm going to back up the system showing 62 GB size Windows disk. If I backup with 8.5 GB DVD that will work or not. Suppose I'll use 8.5 GB DVD speed appropriate for writing. Please guide me the right way.

    Thank you best regards &,.

    Saifullah.

    How to reinstall Windows 8

    You have two options:

If you want to reinstall Windows 8, which means remove applications and personal files and settings, you can use the reset and refresh. This is equivalent to a clean install.

To do this, follow these steps:

    · Press the Windows key + i on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · In virtue remove all and reinstall Windows, click Start

Then follow instructions that will be provided on the screen to reinstall Windows on your PC.

    Option 2:

If you create an installation DVD or a USB bootable, you can use them to reinstall Windows. First, you will need to reinstall license qualification, then begin the upgrade to Windows 8. License of qualification means that you will need to reinstall Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.

    Option 3:

A workaround for this situation is to create a system image of Windows 8, just after you have upgraded. So if your drive plant, you can simply restore the image on a new hard drive or restore the image on the same drive, if you want to reinstall Windos 8.

See the following for instructions on how to create an image of the installation process of Windows 8:

(references Windows 7, but the same principles apply to Windows 8).

But at this point, I am a lot would like to reset my laptop to factory default, delete everything (installed programs, photos, downloads, data, etc.) and start from scratch, as if I just bought the laptop.

Could someone explain how to do this? As there must be a way to start over once again, re - install Windows and start over with a laptop completely empty...?

Looking forward to all the answers!

    Thank you very much

Hello. There are three ways for you to reinstall Windows:

First of all. Plug your AC cable and shut down your laptop. Then he turns on again and press 0 (zero, not on the NUM pad). Wait for the recovery menu to appear and choose the necessary recovery options.

In the second place. While in Windows 7 click on "Start" and go to "Control Panel". Then choose "System and security"-> "Restore your computer to an earlier time"-> "of the advanced recovery methods'-> 'return your computer to the factory State '.

In the third place. Buy CD/DVD recovery for your Toshiba noteboook.

Juddlin I can find you a few subjects. I really put t know where I can write to you. ;) Please stay on this one.

If you want to install OS using expert mode control his topic http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2513

At number 7 it of description Put again inside the new size of the partition, and then press ENTER. There you can put 50% of the maximum size of HARD drive. After this HARD drive will be split on both sides. The first (C) will be used for the operating system and all the software you need. The other (D), you can use to store all your sensitive data.

If you sometimes in the future had to reinstall OS again use Expert mode and reinstall the operating system on the first partition. All the data you have on the second partition, you can use again.

  • Pavilion p6230y: how to reinstall Windows on a new hard drive

    Hello

Recently, I had a hard drive failure. The drive is about 7 years so I understand he lived a life busy for a long time, and I plan replace it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the recovery discs and I don't have a windows CD, because it is installed on the disk hard when I bought the computer. If I had to buy a new HARD drive, how would I reinstall Windows on it without re-purchase a copy? I was told there would be a product key on the chasis somewhere but I couldn't find the model and serial number for the bureau, nothing to do with Windows. I also searched HP website to see if I could order recovery disks, but this option is not visible anywhere. Help, please!

    Thank you, Alex.

    Alex, welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, because you did not the system recovery media when you bought the computer, you will need to buy a full copy of Windows 7.

Here's a guide to help you try to order the HP discs.  However, I believe that it is very unlikely that they are always available from your computer is more than 7 years old.

  • G570 - How to reinstall Windows 7 after replacing a hard drive that crashed?

    Hi all

I have a Lenovo G 570 and was very happy with it. Unfortunately, I had a hard drive crash (totally my bad, I dropped the laptop on the floor).

In any case I had to change my drive hard because I got this message: "No bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key any." I have always this message with the new hard drive which makes sense since I have to reinstall Windows 7, but the problem is that I don't have a sticker with the product key

Does this mean that the Windows product key is in the Bios? How can I get? Contact Lenovo to get a new product key and pay for it?

A big thank you to the person who will be able to help me with this, can not wait to start to use my Lenovo again.

Mod edit: System model added to the front of the subject line to improve visibility / clarity.

  • How do reinstal windows xp?

my laptop is running slow (OS Win XP) and I want reinstal windows xp on it can you tell me how I have an xp disk and license, I've never done this before, so easy to understand instructions could be very useful.

    linbeck

I recommend to install Windows on if you've never done before and expect to get back to a fully functional computer before the end of the week is over. ;-)

    The basics are simple:

    • Back up all important data you external to the computer in question.
    • Make sure you have all the serial numbers and installation support and product keys set - off the computer in question.
    • Make sure you know all the hardware on your system.  Run and print the Belarc Advisor report to be sure.  I recommend to download the latest drivers for each piece of hardware NOW and their storage on a reader of CD/DVD/USB external to the computer for later.
    • Change your CMOS/BIOS system to boot from the CD and start with the support of Windows XP (CD).
    • Follow the prompts, remove the existing divides and create new partition on which to install the operating system.
    • When installing the operating system, install the drivers for hardware devices.
    • When doing this, patch Windows XP OS by http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ (repeat until there is no critical update left - leave EVERYTHING the only option at the moment.)
    • When doing this, install your applications.  Then update those.
    • Restoring your data.

However - I think you'd be better of just clean up.

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do some cleaning and dusting off this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

Get and install the hardware device last drivers for your system hardware/system manufacturers support and/or download web site.

If you want, come back and let us know a bit more information on your system - particularly the brand / model of the system, you have - and maybe someone here can guide you to the place s x of law to this end.  This isn't 100% necessary - but I'd be willing to bet that you would gain some performance and features in making this part.

    Hello

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

This can help you (download files and make your own DVDs).

Vista ultimate is available. Read the information in the lower part of the message on how to use it for other editions of Vista:

And here are instructions on how to burn ISO disk images:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Them or us ask the right sequence of key.

    ___________________________________

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

    ___________________________________

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can borrow and use a DVD Vista Microsoft (selling retail or OEM System Builders License), which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

The COA sticker is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.

With a desktop computer, it's on the side, the back or the top of the computer case.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as well as 32-bit and 64-bit editions different DVD lights.

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.
