  You will need to borrow a Microsoft Vista DVD from a friend to do a repair upgrade installation.

  You are welcome

  If the CD/DVD drive in the works of PC Gateway, you can (at least temporarily) remove it and install it in the HP, you can run your recovery disc and reinstall Vista.  Once everything is running on the HP, you can always remove the CD/DVD drive and reinstall it in the gateway PC if you wish.

  You don't say exactly what you are trying to do.

  You can format a disk if it a second drive with the Dual Boot operating systems and leaves without data or the operating system on it at all.

  To speed up my new e9105z, I bought a new 80 GB Intel X - 25 M to reduce disk latency and complete the 640GO HARD drive came with my computer.

  Drive has been installed successfully, recognized by the PC and formatted with the Windows Vista Disk Manager tool.  When I use the BIOS tool to set the Intel SSD as my boot drive, it says that some files of startup is missing, and I come to on the HARD disk as the startup disk.

  Bottom line: how to install Windows Vista on the SSD and configure it to start?  Did I lose my classic HDD data in the process?

  You should be able to select the startup disk in the BIOS.  Restoring image shouldn't be a factor.  If the BIOS settings do not work, I would swap the connectors between the readers.

  Netbooks have the option to reinstall the operating system to when it was new.

  They have a recovery Partition on their hard drives the same as most laptops and desktops...

  You should ask the Netbook Manufactuter for particular key sequence to begin a recovery.

  Some manufacturer's instructions are to press F10 or F11 at startup; others are Alt + F10, etc..

  The installed software doesn't have knowledge written in programming to realize that you have a Netbook and you are unable to insert the disc. That's the way it is written, unfortunately: one size.

  And some more expensive Netbooks now have a DVD player.

  Microsoft does not include disks for OEM preinstalled computers, Acer, HP, brands etc.

  a repair install is performed from a vista operating system

When I buy my computer, nobody gives me windows cd, then, how legaly get the installer of windows vista? I don't want to go to shop, pay a lot of money for the cd. Maybe I can somehow download it?   There is no legal downloads of Vista installation discs.  Contact the people bought you from (or better, the manufacturer of the computer) and see if they'll sell you a copy at a reduced price and if not, at least get them to send you a set of recovery disc (for a small fee) in order to have a way to recover your system if it fails and needs to be reinstalled. Then ask if your computer has a recovery Partition, and if you can make your own disks Reccovery (and ask them exactly how to do this).  If you know someone with a genuine drive to Installation of Vista of the size of the bit, you can make a copy of their record (they are not marked as read) and then you will also only available for installation of not only but also for the recovery and repair options is not available on the recovery discs they provide or you can do.
