How to restore the system recovery files to their original location? (HP Pavilion p6540F desktop computer)

I have a desktop HP Pavilion P6540F under Windows 7 Home Premium. A few days ago there was a problem with windows that virtually wiped out my OS and I had to restore my computer to factory settings. Before restoring my computer I backed up all my files on a disk. After Reinstalling windows, I placed the drive with all my files recovery on it in my computer and running the recovery .exe file that has started downloading my files. All of this worked perfectly well but the problem is that these files only stored in a file on my desktop and has not been restored to its original location. Is it possible to get these files to restore to the correct locations on my computer without having to manually, drag the files to their old location? Honestly, I don't know where many of these files were located before the restoration and many items such as preferences for certain programs are impossible for me to move. Thanks for the help.

The backup that is used to recover only restores the files in a folder, leaving the owner to move. I agree, not the application of backup more useful, but better than nothing I guess.

How to restore the menu bar (file-editing-display) PDF? I use version Adobe Acrobat 8.1.3. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Kolja

I had a similar problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro X, where the menu bar would not appear.  I was able to get menu bar to appear if I resized the document by placing the pointer on the right, left, top or bottom of the document (you see a double arrow), and then by clicking and dragging.

The problem was definitely solved for all documents by opening Adobe Acrobat without having to open a document.  Then click on Edit in the menu bar.  Then click on Preferences.  In the preferences of the box click on full screen at the top left.  Then find the section Navigation screen complete.  Check the box show the Navigation bar.  Finally click on OK at the bottom right.

I hope this helps someone and saves a lot of frustration.

    Hello

I own a Toshiba Satellite P300D-136 with Windows 7 (64-bit) and I want to restore the system. I've tried the way by clicking on the value 0 or F8 at startup, but it does not :-(

    The HDDRestore Partition is available...

    Best regards

As far as I know Satellite P300/P300D comes with Vista and not with Win7 for Win7 installation drive recovery HARD work not at all. You can install Vista, maybe, but certainly not Win7.

Because of this, I assume that you have installed your own version of Win7. Can you confirm this?

Is that HARD drive recovery facility (F8 > fix my computer) works with the installation of recovery only (out of the box).

  • How to restore the system to Satellite L750-A010?

What is the possibility of recovery system for extracting device L750-a010?

You can choose a HARD recovery disk or you can create a recovery disk and could use the floppy disk to restore the system.

The recovery disk must be created using pre-installed tool called Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.
HARD drive recovery can be started by pressing the F8 key (by turning on the device)-> fix my computer-> drive HARD recovery

  • The HD to SSDS: how to restore the system and all the drivers?

    Hello

I changed the HDD with a SSD. Now I want to restore the system (Windows 8) and all the drivers and applications. To do this I use (with DVD) HP Recovery Manager and I choose to install a clean install of the system, drivers and applications. After the copy of the set in the new hd, when the computer is reset, I get the message that there is no system in my HD!
    Why? What can I do?

    Thank you

    Enter the BIOS
Go to the tab system set
    Scroll Startup Options
    Go to boot order
Move the current SSD as the first device by following the instructions in the right pane
After making changes to the boot order, press F10 and click Yes to save the changes and then exit from BIOS

  • Restore the system configuration files

I was running the restoration of the system of the laptop and the battery dies before completing the restoration of the system. After loading it that the laptop does not start it makes a loop on the system recovery options.

If you lost power during an operation system then your drive is probably corrupted and you need to clean installation using your CD-ROM Windows 7 CD or a recovery disc factory that came with your computer.  If you do not, you can contact the company who made the computer to ask for a replacement.

  • Satellite A300 - how to restore the system without data loss partition?

    Hi all

My Satellite a * 3 partitions hard drive * as in Photo

In the E: partition it is a hiddn folder named "* hddrecovery * ' with a lot of files and a redame file (.html) warns:
    * "HDD Recovery folder *"
    * WARNING! *
    * Do not remove or edit these files and folders.*
    * Any modification may damage the HARD drive recovery system! "*

The last time I did system recovery using the 2 DVD (created when you first start), it was also * removed the 'D:' partition with all data files *. I'm very disappointed to lose data :_|
Suggest me _how to make safe system restore to factory state_ * without affecting the secondary partition and its files *.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

AFAIK, restore (F8) image of HDD factory settings will delete all data on the C: drive. Using recovery disks it will delete all data on the local local c and D: (hard disk image file creation). If you have some important data moving to device drives or dvd external usb for all cases. That's all I can suggest

  • How to restore the previous user files

    Hello

I did 3 times until I noticed this.

    1. install Java JDK.

    2 android Studio (SDK)

3 tried to show hidden files

Last action, I did because I saw in my App folder (for android developers) user folder.

I 207 GB of various files under my user folder, so I realized that it would take a lot of time to go through all the files, and my computer was looking

for hidden files, I cancelled the operation. Then I changed the settings in the properties of this folder not to display hidden files. My computer started to do something new. Within a certain time (computer is still indexing files) I decided that I need to see hidden files, so I canceled the operation and restarted - show hidden files.

Later, I restored my system using the system restore before step 1. Install Java JDK.

My settings are to restore files, but as I noticed through my system devoted only 9 GB (I have 207 GB of various files under my user folder).

If I go to the properties of folder-> Previous Versions, I can see all the missing files there but if I try to restore it will short 11FR and somewhere in the middle of system restore even just restore. I could just copy the files manually but there is a lot of work and I have only 25 GB left.

I think that it (indexing) pointing to existing files because they are there because if I click on my user account properties, it shows me the 207 GB in size.  For example: folder my pictures shows 4.7 GB, but 2 files inside I see have only 38MB. Photos are not hidden or system files?

"Show files and folders" are an instant response option, it does not take any of the computer when dealing with this change and make sure that the files appear.  He has no real scan/find the files when you use this option and is completely unrelated to the index which is a separate search function.

Are you referring to your photo or picture library folder?  The library can contain many other places.

  • Portege S100: How to restore the system TOSHIBA Power Saver setting

When I had to test my battery and created a new setting of power on my laptop, I accidentally deleted the default schema TOSHIBA Power Saver of my those listed on my utility on Control Panel Power Options.

I tried to restore the Toshiba utility, by recreating a power scheme called "TOSHIBA Power Saver" - but Power Options says that there is already a framework plan of the same name.

When I start the laptop, I get an error message saying that the TOSHIBA Power Saver utility has experienced a fatal problem and he has completed the program.

Can anyone advise me on what I do:

-restore default TOSHIBA Power Saver setting.
    -stop the runtime error occur
-put things the way they were back.

    Thank you very much

    Seems so ;(
I would recommend the recovery CD because the whole procedure takes about 10 minutes only.

But don't forget to save your data if it's important.
