Satellite P300D-136 - how to restore the system?

Hello

I own a Toshiba Satellite P300D-136 with Windows 7 (64-bit) and I want to restore the system. I've tried the way by clicking on the value 0 or F8 at startup, but it does not :-(

The HDDRestore Partition is available...

Best regards

Andi

As far as I know Satellite P300/P300D comes with Vista and not with Win7 for Win7 installation drive recovery HARD work not at all. You can install Vista, maybe, but certainly not Win7.

Because of this, I assume that you have installed your own version of Win7. Can you confirm this?

Is that HARD drive recovery facility (F8 > fix my computer) works with the installation of recovery only (out of the box).

After update my webcam works do not, I setup again Windows 7 64 bit but not work also and I worked to reset the factory and there is no result? Knowledge please solve this problem till me how can restore default firmware?

    Hello

Why you have updated the firmware of your webcam? It's a not supported Toshiba update because it can t be downloaded on the official website of Toshiba. Where did you find?

The problem is these updates happen on your own risk, and now you have destroyed your webcam. The firmware by default peut t be downloaded on the page of Toshiba.

In your case you need professional assistance service authorized in your country. Maybe guys are able to reflash the original firmware so get in touch with the guys and ask for help.

    Good luck! :)

To my knowledge, the Satellite P300 series BIOS doesn t contain the ability to switch the AHCI compatible mode.

I don t think that even after updating the BIOS such option would be available in the BIOS.

I see on the first screenshot of the BIOS, the SSD drive is connected to the second controller.
I recommend you connect the SSD to the first controller (instead of the HARD disk).
Maybe then you could get better performance.

Just for the note: portable computers with a graphics card ATI supports the AMD chipset, and in this case the ATI graphics card driver contains the SATA driver files.

However, I guess the HARD disk controller specification allows the use of better performance of SSD drive.

  • Portege S100: How to restore the system TOSHIBA Power Saver setting

When I had to test my battery and created a new setting of power on my laptop, I accidentally deleted the default schema TOSHIBA Power Saver of my those listed on my utility on Control Panel Power Options.

I tried to restore the Toshiba utility, by recreating a power scheme called "TOSHIBA Power Saver" - but Power Options says that there is already a framework plan of the same name.

When I start the laptop, I get an error message saying that the TOSHIBA Power Saver utility has experienced a fatal problem and he has completed the program.

Can anyone advise me on what I do:

-restore default TOSHIBA Power Saver setting.
    -stop the runtime error occur
-put things the way they were back.

    Thank you very much

    Seems so ;(
I would recommend the recovery CD because the whole procedure takes about 10 minutes only.

  • How to restore the system recovery files to their original location? (HP Pavilion p6540F desktop computer)

I have a desktop HP Pavilion P6540F under Windows 7 Home Premium. A few days ago there was a problem with windows that virtually wiped out my OS and I had to restore my computer to factory settings. Before restoring my computer I backed up all my files on a disk. After Reinstalling windows, I placed the drive with all my files recovery on it in my computer and running the recovery .exe file that has started downloading my files. All of this worked perfectly well but the problem is that these files only stored in a file on my desktop and has not been restored to its original location. Is it possible to get these files to restore to the correct locations on my computer without having to manually, drag the files to their old location? Honestly, I don't know where many of these files were located before the restoration and many items such as preferences for certain programs are impossible for me to move. Thanks for the help.

The backup that is used to recover only restores the files in a folder, leaving the owner to move. I agree, not the application of backup more useful, but better than nothing I guess.

    Hello

AFAIK, restore (F8) image of HDD factory settings will delete all data on the C: drive. Using recovery disks it will delete all data on the local local c and D: (hard disk image file creation). If you have some important data moving to device drives or dvd external usb for all cases. That's all I can suggest

  • Satellite Pro U300 - how to reinstall the system from original Vista operating?

My Satellite U300 (bought in 2008) came with Vista and a fallback to option of XP pre-installed. I drove back to XP at the time. Now, end of support from Microsoft for XP, I would like to re - install the Vista operating system.
I have the recovery disks, but there is a wizard to help the resettlement?

Or is there a function to restore to original factory setting, which I guess would be Vista? (I backed up all my files where a clean install is required). Any help appreciated, thanks.

I checked the specifications of the laptop and this laptop model was offered with Vista preinstalled and DVD recovery Windows XP Home edition. In General original recovery image can be installed with the recovery disk. You got laptop with Vista pre-installed (without the Vista recovery disk) allowing you to create the Vista recovery disk using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

There is also the option of HARD drive recovery, but it works with the factory only settings. After installing WXP that this HARD drive option will not work more then now you Vista recovery DVDs. Unfortunately in your ad I didn't understand whether or not you have the Vista recovery disk.

If so, just start your laptop and press F12. When the boot menu appears put Vista recovery disc into the optical disc drive, has chosen the CD/DVD on the list in the menu and press ENTER. ODD will start to read the recovery disc and all what you need to do is follow the menu on the screen.

  • Satellite Pro L40 - how to recover the system?

    Hello world

My wife has a virus on his laptop computer. I think that it is the antivirus 2010. I can't access all the programs, and the recovery disk reads or that the virus has stopped working also the cd player. How can I re format the hard drive?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi rab75,

How have you used the Toshiba Recovery disk?
I doubt that the virus has stopped working CD player. Maybe in Windows but if you use the Toshiba Recovery disk you will need to boot from the disc.

So I put the disk in the CD/DVD drive and boot from this drive. Some files are loaded and you get the recovery disk screen where you can start this procedure. You must follow the instructions on the screen and a few clicks are needed to complete the installation of recovery. :)
