• Instructions to get out of Safe Mode may not work (reboot, reset), then how the heck out of Mode safe?

  Tonight, I went in Firefox for the first time at least two years. When I tried to open the version of Firefox, I got in my Applications, it is opened in Mode safe.

  I have pores through the help files and tried a few suggestions required out of Safe Mode. I closed and reopened Firefox, choosing Reset. That did not work.

  Because instances of default registry for the port 1521 or this that never entered is defined in the init.ora LOCAL_LISTENER parameter - you don't need to have an entry listener.ora since 9i (I think) - there are self-registering. This is why for listener.ora entered you will see the UNKNOWN State and auto-registres, you will see a status of READY. As a side note, you can manually record an instance (no waiting for an auto-enrollment) using "ALTER SYSTEM REGISTER".

  In any case, check the parameter LOCAL_LISTENER init.ora for your instances that they are part of the port 1538.

  In order to reset the password in the start menu, you need to interrupt the boot of the switch process.  Console in and power cycle the switch, you should see the Cisco logo, then you have about two seconds press a key to get the boot menu.  If you miss it (or it expires once your inside) power cycle just the switch again to bring it up again.  The switch in front of me, it is option 3 to reset the password.

  I just took and failed the test of 11g upgrade.  I tried to upgrade my certification from 10g to 11g.  I did not test certification since 2005 so maybe I'm a bit out of touch, but a lot of questions they were absurd.  I studied for about two or three months for this test, which is a test upgrade, always had to cover a very wide range of knowledge.  Now, I understand that they do not want to make it easy on us, but some questions were right out of left field.  There are maybe 10 or 15 questions that were up as "If you have this parameter is set to true, then, what is the advantage?  I can manage completely questions like that and that's what I studied for, but when they ask questions where you need not only to know all the parameters and then also what that all total possible outcomes could be and then they ask you those more obscure, he just drives me crazy.  It also seemed that some answers were incorrect on a few.
