    Hello

I want to downgrade from vista to XP SP3 because some old games on does not work on vista as Hitman:codename 47 and TheSims... etc.

Then... I need help to find the driver for this laptop. I did a forum search for my model and found nothing.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Before that we'll start with her, I have something to tell you. Decommissioning of this model is not always easy, and your model is designed to work well with Vista. Please check first that link written by Joshua Wood and concentrate on problems that may appear when you install the sound card in it. I don't know then it's dv5 guide, but a lot of hardware and drivers are the same for both models. It is recommended also by me to print this guide and information on the problems with the sound card.

First make the Vista backup. Here you have all the information, how do.

You have a folder with the drivers & programs that can prove very useful after downgrade XP. Copy the folder in C:\Swsetup on DVD Before you format your hard drive.

Now you need to integrate your drivers Sata (only x 86 drivers) win nLite.

Here is the guide how to do it and here are AMD SATA AHCI Controller for you. Just unRAR it drivers with winrar.

Remember, also, that you use the Windows XP SP2 version. If you have not got the version SP2 here you can download this service pack

and here you guide how to integrate this file with your new system of nLite.

In this program, you can even burn your new XP cd with this driver.

  • updated my OS on my laptop from vista to windows 7, but my web cam still has the drivers for vista.

I have updated my OS on my laptop from vista to windows 7, but my web cam still has the drivers for the Device Manager Vista.the indicates that its working properly, but his does not work when I want to do a call.also, video i tried to identify my built in webcam so I can get new drivers for windows 7 , but all I get under 'model' is "usb composite device" and not. How do I get my webcam to work by "model number"?

The built-in webcam is from manufacturers of your laptop, and therefore all drivers or webcam app is provided by the laptop manufacturer.

    Usually, the vista drivers work.

  • Re: Can I switch from Vista to XP?

I now have Vista, but I would change it on XP.

    Is this possible?
    If so, how?

Why would it not possible to change from Vista to XP?
    What do you think?

I put t know what phone you use, but if you can find all the drivers for it on the Toshiba site there s no problem. In the case you're searching on external Web sites for drivers, such as Intel, Realtek, and far.

To install XP only, you must boot from the CD and follow the instructions on the screen.
    All that s!

I'm trying the last days to downgrade from vista to xp.
    Whe I try to do a clean installation Ikeep error 0x0000007b (0xF7A8A524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).

I also tried through the back (which I am not good at) repeat me something on the partion, which it is not.
When I go through the windows if it says that the version is newer than the one you want to install.

    Hello

If you want to use the Win XP instead of Vista, then you must do a clean install!
The downgrade will not work because Vista is newer than XP.

I put t know what laptop you have, but most of the new laptops support a SATA HDD controller and you must include the SATA drivers to install Win XP.

In addition SATA drivers are a part of the Intel Storage Manager which should be published on the Toshiba page as well.

Just a hint; Use the option search advanced this Toshiba forum there are a lot of discussions about this theme!

    Hello

I used the search option and found many threads on the downgrade from Vista to XP on Satellite P200 PSPB0E

All Toshiba drivers are published on the European driver Toshiba page.
Of course, you won't find additional software and programs like WinDVD, etc. insofar as these software are only a part of the Toshiba recovery image and as I guess are not to free them.

An important note; you need to install XP drivers as mentioned in the installation instructions txt file. This doc is also found on the Toshiba driver page!

Then you should not get any trouble of installation.

  • On Windows 7 upgrade from vista 64 bit stops after that it says the settings and files of collection

I am tring to install Windows 7 upgrade from vista 64-bit.  I'm to the point where it says collect files and settings, and it stops running, and then in the details it shows 3 files located in the c: users\my name\appdata\local\temp\WER followed by numbers.tmp, then version, appcompat or mdmp. (example: wer5090.tmp.version.txt)  He said that these files are the reason. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

1 disable any security software before attempting to upgrade

    2. make sure that your computer is updated (devices and applications)

    3. disconnect all external devices before installing.

    4. check your hard disk for errors:

    Click Start

Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD

    Click on "Run as Administrator"

At the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f /r

When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    User account control permission

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

Also run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-7/Upgrade-Advisor.aspx

If the upgrade continues to fail, you might want to consider doing a custom installation:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Satellite A350 - Downgrade from Vista to XP

    Hello

Can some guide me in degardin Satellite A 350 from Vista to XP?

    Hello!

    And what do you know?

If you want to install Windows XP on the laptop, you must only start since the installation of the disk and follow the instructions on the screen everything that s!

But don t forget to install the SATA drivers. Otherwise I think that your HARD drive will be not recognized.
And before installing XP you must burn the Toshiba Recovery disk if you didn't already. So, you can restore the factory settings whenever you want.

    Hello!

Downgrade from Vista to XP isn't very difficult and it should be possible that you can do yourself.

You need at least one drive in Microsoft Windows XP with SP2. Boot from it and follow the instructions on the screen. But you need the SATA drivers, the computer can recognize the HARD drive. For drivers, you need Intel Storage Manager, which can be downloaded on the site of Toshiba and this is workaround step by step how to do this:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9401AN0000R01.htm

If you have installed XP, you must install all the drivers and tools for this. All what you need you can find on the Toshiba site:

  • Is it possible to downgrade Satellite U300 from Vista to XP?

Is it possible to downgrade a Toshiba Satellite U300 from Vista to XP?
No matter what guide available on how do?

I tried to install with a standard XP installation disc, he couldn't even find the drive and refused to start the installation.

I recently bought this laptop with Vista and was really looking for an XP model avoid all the problems of Vista, but it turns out its almost impossible to find one - have all of Vista.

I am disgusted with all computer laptop-manufacturers, who are now offering an OS that is not yet ready for the general public, the guard you kicked in the teeth
and waste your time as m and d, try to find solutions and work around the problems most ridiculous & pointless.

Virtual PC XP Vista initially seemed to solve a lot of problems, but after a few days, unfortunately, the performance of the virtual machine has deteriorated seriously, I don't know why.

OK - still happy if someone here can answer the original questions?

    Published by: ADMIN

Of course, you can install WXP on U300 and you can do this by using the facilities of Microsoft CD. Is very important to have the Storage Manager. This utility is needed to proceedings WXP facilities for the recognition of the HARD drive. You can save it on the floppy drive and import it using the F6 key at startup of installations of Windows XP Home edition.

Visit the Toshiba support under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com page > support & downloads. There you can find all the drivers of Windows XP Home for U300. at the first checkpoint Installations Instructions document and use this list for installing drivers, tools and utilities. Follow the exact order of installations.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Satellite A300: Move from Vista to Win 7 OS - Upgarde isue

    Hi guys,.

I have a Satellite A 300 series laptop PC with Vista Home Premium pre-installed.
I want to swith over to Win7.

    My question:

    (1) if I format 'C' and install Win7 fresh, will I be able to use the recovery disk (stored on 'E') option to boot - recovery option F8 - repair - HDD to swith back to original Vista at any time?

    (2) how to ensure that all drivers in particular for all software from toshiba as "Disc Creator", "WLAN", "BT", 'Recovery disc creator', 'Toshiba DVD Utilities', "System Diagnostics" will be mounted like new?

    Thanks in advance.

    Dimitri

    > 1) if I format 'C' and install Win7 fresh, will be that I can use the recovery disk (stored on 'E') option to boot - recovery option F8 - repair - HDD to swith back to original Vista at any time?

No, if you install Windows 7 on the C partition would have replaced the old Vista Boot Manager and disk for Vista recovery option will not be available.

(> 2) how to ensure that all drivers in particular for all software from Toshiba as "Disc Creator", "WLAN", "BT", 'Recovery disc creator', 'Toshiba DVD Utilities', 'System Diagnostics' will be installed as new?

Well, if you install Windows 7 and then the tools mentioned as Recovery Disc Creator or commercial DVD Toshiba could not be used because these done software part if the image only Toshiba! So if you are using Windows 7, you can buy such tools.
All other drivers can be downloaded from the European pilot page Toshiba.

This Conexant posted to Skydrive is the same as the file Mediafire post by Mariza... which is, btw, his own personal discovery and seems better to work for a microphone. Get it if you have problems to Mediafire, like that sometimes.

I think that Mariza said the Install.exe can be executed from it rather than having to use the Device Manager.
