How to straighten the horizon pictures

Hi users of Photoshop.

I did a lot of photos with my wide angle of the camera nikon 10-24 mm lens. Sometimes the horizon tends to lean a little. Is there an easy way to correct this automatically.

I use photoshop 6.

Thank you

Jeroen

The new crop tool in CS6 is ideal for setting the horizon line.

Press C to get the crop tool, and then click the straighten icon:

Then click and drag a line across your horizon.

Once released, your image should automatically be turned to straighten your horizons:

I hope this helps!

I have some photos of landscape, where the horizon line is not parallel to the border of the photo (and I want it that way).

Y at - it a technique that goes beyond the Image Rotation and "eye-ball" the result?

    Ideas are much appreciated.

    The following can help:

    1. Select the tool rule (I on the keyboard)

    2. draw a line on the horizon

    3. go in Image > Rotate Canvas > arbitrary and the angle of rotation will already be entered

just take to the right or hour meter and click ok.

In cs5 after drawing your line, hit straighten button in the tool options bar the ruler tool.

  • Straighten the horizon in panoramas? Lightroom to Photoshop CC

I use photoshop to assemble 40 photos of the grand canyon I want to combine into a larger panorama.

The photos are in Lightroom (the 5 d mk ii Canon Raw files). I highlight and select the merge as a panorama in photoshop option.

I chose to combine perspective (the first option).

Once photos combined (a process that takes about 15 minutes), the horizon is very, very curved and highly distorted, as if the photo was taken with a fish-eye lens (every image is photographed at 70mm).

What is the best way to straighten the horizon and remove distortion to enlarge the natural photo?

Finally, I want to keep the info THOUGHT that I can edit the photo to its full potential in lightroom, but photoshop only lets me export the panorama as tiff or jpeg. What is the best way to keep as much information as possible in this scenario?

Thank you all for your help.

I don't create panoramas using images a lot. But I found the filter Adaptive wide-angle useful to straighten curved lines.

You can keep everything in raw once it has been opened in Photoshop. Photoshop cannot change the raw image data and cannot save raw images. That's why Lightroom or Camera Raw are necessary. At the time wherever the images are open in Photoshop, they are more raw. This is why they must be stored in a different file format.

  • Transfer the Aperture/Photo library to new Mac: how to manage the referenced pictures

Here's the scoop.  I was a long-time user of Aperture with half of my pictures handled as pictures referenced to an external drive.  Photos, as I understand it, also sees the photos as mentioned.

I then acquired a new iMac and want to now all of my photos to reside on his hard drive and I'll give up on opening.

So, if I transfer the Photos library file to the new computer, how can I get these files referenced on the new computer?

Do you want the photos to be referenced or you want to group as managed in the Photos?

If you want to keep the referenced pictures, use Aperture on your old mac to move files referenced in a folder on the new Mac, before opening the Aperture Photo library to convert it to a library of Photos.

If you are satisfied with transforming the library to a library of the crib, you can use pictures after the migration the photo library to build the library.

Pictures has the command "file > consolidate" to move the intone library pictures and make managed, it has few tools to fix the referenced files broken, but it can not move the referenced files. No matter what move you want to do, do it in Aperture, while your library is still an Aperture library.

Opening 3.6.is still work under MacOS X 10.10.3.

  • How to see the whole picture if cropped in InDesign CC?

With a book of photography with many photographs, which some have been cut off in InDesign.

I would like to have the opportunity to view the entire image to check what is outside the harvest, but when I click on the bulls eye in the center of the image (sorry, don't know the official name), I can see the outside frame of the image, but not the rest of the image itself.

Seems there must be a way to do it, but could not find in the menus, manual or search the Forum.

    Very much appreciated...

  • How to import the DVD pictures in LR 6

I have more than 100,000 photos saved on DVD. Can they be imported into LR 6?

Yes you can. (Let stay on the DVD disc)

If you do NOT want the copied on your hard drive, you must use the option 'Add' in the import dialog box.

However the DVD disc must be in the DVD player, if you still want to use all of the images on the DVD for export, printing, slideshow, book, etc.

Without the disk they will show as 'missing '. (just like an external drive - unplugged)

It may be a method to 'Add' images (thumbnails) on the Lightroom catalogue simply as a reference database.
