    Remember logon as administrator.

Other good choices is Revo Uninstaller, which will eliminate all traces of a program of MyUninstaller which provides additional information, or CCleaner.

MyUninstaller also provides additional information for installed applications more than the standard

  • Web of Trust (WOT): ask detailed Instructions to uninstall and remove

Please help by providing instructions detailed on how to uninstall and remove all the remains of the Web of Trust (WOT) plugin in a macbook pro running OS OS X El Capitan (10.11.3).  WOT is a plug-in available from Apple: https://safari-extensions.apple.com/?q=plugin .  I installed it on my macbook pro.  Less than an hour of installation, the computer began to operate at unusually high temperatures.  The fan is working overtime in a futile attempt to try to cool the computer hardware.  I consider that this plug-in to be more harmful than helpful because of the risk of overheating of the laptop.

Separately, I hope that Apple consider WOT remove from their Web site and reassess all plug-ins software available to the Apple community.  I trust that Apple carefully tests and evaluates the plug-ins to determine their usefulness, balanced with a safe integration with their operating system before offering them on their Web site.

    Safari plug-ins are located in

    / / Library/Internet Plug-Ins /.

or they can be removed from Safari

Safari > Preferences > Extensions (tab)

Select the plugin, click on the "-" icon.

If you feel WOT must be removed by apple and they caused a grievance with you inform Apple

    Apple.com/Feedback

otherwise, remember that WOT is causing residual damage and there is no other who could cause this as no matter what mac antivirus or any tool of party 3rd mac that manages your mac "mac keeper", "clean my mac" as so-called ware packages scam that historically have been linked to massive problems with OS X

No matter what Mac AV or 3rd party cleaning tool should be removed from the system entirely.

  • How to uninstall IE8 from Windows XP Pro SP3 system?

IE8 does not appear in the list "Add / Remove Programs".  Simple removal of icons is futile.  REGEDIT is impossible - the entries simply re - appear.  Otherwise only by formatting the hard drive or purchase is 3rd party software, there a way to get rid of IE8 and go back to IE7?  I tried to download and install IE7, but it refusses to be installed because IE8 (or even traces of it) are installed on the system.  I could, I suppose, pay $59 for an online chat with a tech from Microsoft somehow buit, I doubt that the expenditure would be worth it - I would get no response or, at best, no answer that works.

    My system is;

    Dell Dimension 4550

Windows XP Pro w/SP-3 (version 2002)

    Of photo TakerYN...

This message can be considered "solved!" I was finally able to remove the program with the HP disk. I tried to reinstall (overwrite) the program, but I received a message that the installer has detected that the program is already installed. I wanted to try it manually, so I 'opened' the disc, you click on "setup" and received the same message. At this point, I was ready to try anything and noticed the "Launcher" icon and thought, what the heck, can't hurt to try at this stage, so I clicked it. I wasn't expecting the screen, I had, who said that it would be to uninstall the program. I thought it was too good to be true and easy way (after all), but after that it's over, I checked my Add/Remove programs and my 'problem' program was gone.

Thought I would post this so anyone who might encounter the same problem can try this.
