  Vicky, you can always use this folder.  The lock means that it is private just for you, it does not block you use the folder.

  Ripped files are automatically added to the Windows Media Player library. On the computer, the files are in the folder specified on the tab extract music from the Options dialog box. You can change the folder at any time, but it can not be removed from monitored by Windows Media Player.
