ThinkPad T410
I anticipate get me the new ThinkPad T410, but I need to know one thing.
The integrated video graphics card is the following;
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 5700MHD - AMT
What is the max resolution that can be set to when the laptop is connected to a 40 "LCD?
I see that the video options include 2 discrete graphics cards, but I really don't need them unless onboard video can't display the resolution I need.
the use of the integrated Intel GPU display port can support up to resolution WQXGA, which is 2560 x 1600.

quick question, does anyone know if the empty location on the thinkpad t410 next to the slot for the ram under the door on the bottom is msata, or mini pci-e?
Welcome to the forum!
The port is mini pci - e only, no mSata in this generation of ThinkPad support.

I start by saying that I love my thinkpad! There's just one thing I don't like abtou it and it is the plug there atm. This is the laptop I'm using right now:
ThinkPad T410 2539 - Core i5 520 M/2.4 GHz - vPro - RAM 4 GB - 320 GB - DVD-brander - HD Graphics - Gigabit Ethernet - WLAN: 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 - TPM - vingerafdruklezer - 14.1 inches; breedbeeld TFT 1280 x 800 (WXGA)
The thing is, it's perfect for simple office tasks, but really miss me a grapich power when I go to work and on the road. So I was wondering, what options are there to upgrade the CPU/video card?

OK, thanks for your response. I'm guessing there is nothing for me to do that so go get another laptop.Well don't get me wrong the T410 is always a great computer and not this old, but seems useless to me and spend too much to upgrade a previous generation Thinkpad so all you will get is a graphics card that is a little better. Buy a new T420 will be still more expensive of course, but then you get a brand new model with all new features and HW.

ThinkPad T410 boots only if the power supply is plugged
Hello
I have a really strange bug. My thinkpad T410 (2537-UQF) with an OCZ Vertex 3 SSD boots only if the power supply is connected. If I have a full battery, and try to boot without the power I get a blue screen after about 60 seconds on the screen where the windows logo appears. I have Windows 7 installed fresh a few days ago.
I think its possible, I've done a few failure with drivers. The power management ThinkPad always stops working after startup. So I deleted the program using the feature "msconfig".
I'm not really sure what I can do about it. Any idea?
Thanks for any answers in advance & regards
Rain
OK I solved the problem:
The workaround is to set to battery power settings in the BIOS to auto. If the power in the Bios settings are on maximum battery life, the system does not start if you use the SSD OCZ Vertex 3.
Hope this helps everyone who has the same problem. I need 4 days to understand this.
Greetings, rain

Hello
I have a Windows 7 64 bit Pro its own. installation on my t410s 2904 FYG (no driver no additional software-> windows only). The pilot 8.16.11.8955 / 1.0.15.0 (NVIDIA Display Driver for Windows 7 (64 bit) - ThinkPad T410s (switchable graphic models)) does not work on a new install of Windows 7 64-bit.
If you update the old version with it, it works... Unfortunately you can not download the old driver on lenovo support page
Maybe there is a problem with this change?

How many points/fingers on the touch screen of Thinkpad T410S?
Hello
I know that the Thinkpad T410s can have a touch screen. I would like to know:
(1) can you confirm that it is a N-Trig touchscreen?
(2) can you tell me if it is a multitouch or a multipoint touch screen, and how many points/fingers are supported? I would like to have a technology 4 fingers; Lenovo web site, I read that it's a new technology. So if I have a T410s in January or February 2011, will be I that technology 4 fingers on my touchscreen?
Thank you very much
Victor
(1) Yes, N-Trig.
(2) Yes, 4 fingers :-)

Have noticed that my T410 started this thing where it stops at the Thinkpad screen and nowhere.
Download for Windows at all.
Re-booting seems to fix the problem.
Using a wireless connection to the router.
Everything else on the T410 is stock such as pronounced.
No plug-in devices.
Model: 2516 CTO
Changed the BIOS boot order and will keep an eye on it.
Thank you.

[Thinkpad T410s] wifi doesn't work no matter HW
Hi all
I changed the fan and I disassembled my thinkpad. Since I put it together my wifi does not work. If I want to activate the wifi via Fn + F5, I get error NO WIFI ADAPTER FOUND. I tried to change key wireless and also I changed in the BIOS. Nothing helps. It seems that some HW issue (cable disconnected, modul unplugged etc..). Does anyone have idea what to do with this problem?
Concerning
Problem has been resolved. The wireless button flex wire was not connected to the conector on motherboard PCB. Not visible so much.

Upgrading thinkpad t410s lcd?
Hello, I searched on google and could not find anything on the subject. I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my screen t410s an xvga + to something higher, perhaps a svga. Is this possible? Cannot find xvga + LCD on internet.

In my view, there is no choice of high resolution that matches your machine.

How to have separate video and audio over HDMI output Lenovo Thinkpad T410
I have lenovo T410 and wanted to connect it to my TV high definition. Earlier had problems, but after buying SIIG Displayport to HDMI its job very well. In fact the video and Audio can now be read / listened to on my HDTV via HDMI. However, I have a separate 2.1 computer speaker system, which has much better sound output than my HDTV. Now if I want to see the video on HD TV via HDMI and audio output to speakers for laptop (connected to the 3.5 mm wired 2.1 speaker system), how to do that. I went to SmartAudio settings in the Control Panel, but there is no option of separates HDMI audio to the speakers only.
I don't want to buy another cable with RGA Audio Converter 3.5 mm female port. Please suggest a direct solution.
in win 7 do a right-click on the speakers on your lower right corner icon, select playback devices, click on speakers, click on set default, click OK and it should work (sound must come from your computer speakers or the computer 3, 5mm jack)

All ThinkPad T410s come with a battery 6 cells coming out?
I remember reading somewhere that the battery 6 cells exceeds on the side of the T410s makes clumsy in appearance and handling. Is this always true? If so, is there something like a 4 cells which remains flush with the chassis? I couldn't find this as an option when you set up online, nor is he is listed as an accessory available for the T410s.
s2kdriver80, I have a T400s, and six-cell battery is flush. Photographs that I saw, the T410s chassis is basically identical to the T400s, six-cell battery should also be built into the chassis. Cheers, RocketDude
