    Hello

What version of BIOS you have loaded? Version 4.20?

Normally it shouldn´t do problems, especially after upgrading your BIOS. May I ask if the version of Windows installed on your machine you´d is on the media recovery or from scratch (from scratch means install with a genuine Windows CD and install the downloaded drivers)?

If everything fails then send you the machine and let check the laptop on certain shortcomings of the BIOS.

RAM DDR2 RAM right or is it So DIMM DDR2 RAM? According to the Toshiba site, it is not, but when I go to one of the sites Web "Upgrade your Ram" and enter my brand and model, he suggested the So-Dimm type...

I'm looking for a little clarification. Thank you.

  • After the last update of BIOS that Satellite P100 locks with BSOD

    Hello

Due to several problems meeting with updated Toshiba Satellite P100-221 (PSPA6E) launch second online BIOS updated. I have download and I solve problems with my video card and the race of missing keyboard. After a short period, they put on the update of the BIOS rd page 3 drivers.

I'm trying to find what ever they change with this new update, but I na? t find anything. So I decided to update my BIOS again. Now as a result my system crash very often when I quit & restart my computer (blue screen).

Microsoft advised me to reduce the video acceleration for video adjustment.
Maybe can someone explain to me why I have this problem?
I use the same drivers and software same as in the second update
I can find BIOS previous to rewrite again, because this one works very well with my laptop?

    Thank you!

    Hi Sebasian

I use very long books and I've never updated the BIOS if not necessary. What laptop works well, OS stabile, why should I do it? I don t care if new BIOS update is available or not. I've always been skeptical about the updates to the BIOS. That's just my opinion.

As far as I know, it is not possible to downgrade the version of the BIOS without special tools and it can be done by service partners. It is not easy to tell if the BIOS is responsible for this, but if possible, try to send us illustrated if BSOD errors.

If I were you I backup all important data and reinstall the recovery image, configure OS for my needs, and make sure that everything is clean pre-installed. My experience with BSOD were always related software.

  • How to change keyboard on Satellite P100?

    Hello
Yesterday, I had an accident: spilt Coke all over my satellite p100-115.
Now my keyboard sticks to many buttons. I wanted to clean up. The first button, I've pulled out was RET. But now I can't it again.
Is there anyone who could explain to me how to get out in it the right way?
Or: Is there a way to change the keyboard? If Yes: how much is a new keyboard?

And are there Tips how to clean my keyboard shortcuts? They are also sticky. :/

    Tobi

    Hello

Unique key replacement help much. The entire keyboard needs to be replaced. Like Stefan said please contact partner in your country. You can try to exchange it alone but you will lose the warranty.

I recommend you to make a call and ask how much the replacement will be fresh.
In any case, the keyboard is set with 6 screws and placed undercover KBD, but is not easy to remove this cover. It is fixed with a screw and I don t know exactly where this screw is placed.

  • Need to update Bios for Satellite P100-284

My Satellite P100-284 has the number PSPA3E
This does not correspond exactly with any BIOS update files for download from Toshiba.

  • Need for a disk to boot flash BIOS for Satellite P100-240

I need to Flash my Satellite P100-240 on a bootable CD.
The BIOS only I can find on this site must be run from windows.
I have seen BIOS 4.40 for P100 on another Toshiba sites, for example:

    http://askiris.Toshiba.com/ToshibaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=2115 524xml & sliceId = & dialogid = 56504155 & stateId = 0% 200% 56506013 20

But do not know if it is appropriate for P100-240.
They seem to be named completely differently. Not sure if that's a thing based country.

The BIOS in the mentioned link will be allowed to run on my p100-240?

Your laptop is NOT American series but the European series and you must use the BIOS from the European driver Toshiba page!
The incorrect BIOS may damage the BIOS ROM of portable module! And this would lead to the point where you wouldn t be able to boot the machine!
This is why you should ALWAYS use the BIOS designed for this series of laptop!

In addition, you won't find updates of the traditional BIOS on Toshiba page!
There are only updates to the BIOS windows-based and you can update ONLY run under windows.

If the notebook WHAT BIOS s cannot be updated to the Windows operating system, then you must contact the Toshiba technician and must ask for help!

    That's all you can do

  • How often has RAM of Satellite P100-324?

    Hello

I ' am, thinking about to upgrade my Satellite P100-324 (PSPA6E) 4 GB of RAM, but did not know which one to choose.
Initially, I have installed memory 533 MHz. My question is - 533 MHz limit for this model?
or I can install memory 667 MHz and it will work on 667 MHz?

Also if I install 4 gb - I'll see 3 GB, but will it still runs dual channel mode?

Thanks for you help in advance.

    Hi guys,.

This thing with 4GB-> / 3GB is not uncommon. The chipset is just to take a portion of system memory and turns to shared kept. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of the chipset does not tools release or someone set up a function to decrease/increase the shared video memory.

So, in the case of 4 GB of RAM you have then 1 GB shared video memory.

And what about dual channel: Yes it will still work on two channels.

    Greetings

How and where can I get the old BIOS?

When the new BIOS update came out an old is no longer available.

    Hello world

I have a P100... How to access the BIOS to see if it is why my optical mini mouse does not work?
When I plug something into the USB, it works fine.
The new mouse wheel works but the mouse will not move the cursor. Thanks for the help.

    Hello

You can access the BIOS by pressing the F2 key immediately after that the laptop has been powered.

But I put t know why you need to access the BIOS, if the USB mouse doesn t work
You won't see anything in the BIOS about the USB mouse

I think you should check the mouse settings in the control panel-> mouse

  • How to enter BIOS on Satellite 5200 mode?

    Hello!

I am owner of a Satellite 5200 801 and I recently bought a new CD/DVD - rom cause the original just died. The thing is that the drive I bought from the U.S. market and my laptop is European. So I ve double checked all the serial numbers on it and everything was OK except the manufacturing series number which I guess makes no difference to the difference.

My problem is that when I install the indicator light flashing normal, but when it starts it boot error IDE shoes and windows doesn't see it at all. do you know how I can access BIOS to change cause master/slave, I think there is a difference between them at this point... the original is the master and the second is csel.

Is there a key to enter the BIOS because I can't enter at all no question combinations. Finally, if I change the playback head DVD/ROM and given that the original would make the change I need?
    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

As much as I know, you cannot change anything in the BIOS but check again. To enter the BIOS settings press the ESC key at startup to the top.

    Good luck!
