  • Audio choppy and distorted on Portege Z930 after update of Win7 for Win8 64

I just wanted to share a tip with you that cost me some time to work, about the sound reproduction of a Portege Z930.

    When I got my new Z930 - 14L, he was running Win7.
I tried everything like you do when you get a new machine and it worked fine - including the audio playback.

When I updated for Win8-64 since the CD that came with the computer, everything still seemed to work very well and I had not changed any driver or Setup.

However, after a few minutes, the linenn of audio playback. It choppy, distorted, interrupted, stuttering and I was shocked.

Oddly enough, as soon as I turned my attention to the computer again, reading was OK again - but no screen saver came and no power saving mode has come in so little time. I knew that this was no hardware problem (because it worked in Win7), it was not a driver problem (because the first 5 minutes, the sound was pristine), he was not a ground loop, (as many have suggested) because it sounds differently.

Thanks to another forum, I discovered that it is actually the combination of Windows Defender, Win8-64 Pro and the audio driver that causes this. If the device is idle for a few minutes, the Defender thinks it's a good idea to use idle time to scan the SSD - causing interference with audio playback. Of course, you cannot simply disable or stop the central antivirus process, that would ruin some the whole point. :-)

_So I installed Kaspersky suite on the machine (which automatically disables the Windows Defender) and the problem disappeared! _ it's probably the only time where the installation of an antivirus suite SOLVES a problem. :-)

BTW, this is not probably limited to this antivirus product, simply play a bit with the Defender.

    Best, Yuppie

Thank you much for sharing this details here in the community.
I guess that the information could be useful for others who have these problems of his fellow men.

  • How to upgrade IOS for Aironet 1252 G

I'm trying to update the IOS for Aironet 1252 G wirless access point, I look at all the instruction and they do not make sense! And there is just no instuctions on how to upgrade the IOS in the WEB BROWSER interface. I just did an install of Windows Server 2008R2 and real simple compared to only raise AP and running, but there still Microsoft and their staff try to keep things simple for people where CISCO makes more complex theings.

    Hello

If you try to update the IOS on a Cisco AP upgrade recomeneded uses the cli via a telnet session or console.

**************************************************************************** RECOMMENDED UPGRADE TROUGH CLI: The following are the proper steps to do an IOS upgrade in a CLI/Telnet session (This is the recommended upgrade): 1st: Use a TFTP server in the computer that you are going to use for the upgrades. If you don't have one, get the free TFTP server in the following link: http://tftpd32.jounin.net Note: Make sure that the computer and the APs are in the same subnet. For example and AP in default settings will have IP: 10.0.0.1, so you need to have the computer as IP 10.0.0.2, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. 2nd: Download the IOS image from the Cisco.com Web site. Note: Do not "unzip" the image. 3rd: Open the TFTP server (make sure that the TAR file's name of the IOS image is shown as in the web site, because sometimes it gets renamed to "Download .tar" and if that happens you need to rename it).  Browse the TAR file and select it, then click ok. 4th: Telnet the unit, go to enable mode and enter the following command: ap#archive download-sw /overwrite /force-reload tftp://IPAddress of_the_tftp_server/name_of_the_IOS_image_you_downloaded In this link, you must specify the extension, as an example: ap#archive download-sw /overwrite /force-reload tftp://10.0.0.2/c1200-k9w7-tar.122-13.JA.tar Note: The IOS image name is case sensitive, and it should be complete.
    ******************************************************************************

This is the same procedure for any AP in IOS mode, the difference would be the image used for each specifc model.

  • Win7 for Win8 inplace upgrade fails on T510

We try a Windows 7 Professional upgrade of Windows 8 using the installation Windows 7 running routine to maintain the applications and settings. The machine is a T510, 8 GB of RAM. The installation Gets the compatibility check, and then States that he cannot continue until the Lenovo Auto Scroll utility is uninstalled. Recognizing that reviews causes the Setup program to the end.

Automatic scrolling of Add/Remove Programs uninstalling has no effect, even after rebooting, as suggested. I also tried to install the latest (compatible Win 7 and Win 8) auto-scroll. That does not work. Others said they have not obtained that it works after you have uninstalled all THE software Lenovo machine. That seems excessive. Is there an official upgrade guide that includes dealing with this issue?

Check the special interest of Windows 8 discussion in the community of Lenovo. There is a specific section of the material.

You can find answers here and there was a guide to prepare the installation of window 8 of.

  • Swap the motherboard for the section previously acer m5910 / how to Exchange win7 for this mobo HELP NEEDED

IM about to exchange the new motherboard with chipset intel my m5910 system. I have not install win 7 dvd with my purchase in 2011, it seems to be built in. I have win 7 Home premium product... always on my case and acer s/n + snid number too.

Only the DVD that I found are 3 dvd - r and it is written: empty recovery DVDs, I checked and all 3 are filled with data.

When I swap card mother how can I use THIS win7 operating system in my new motherboard?

If your Windows supplied with your Acer computer, then your Windows is an OEM version and not the retail version. My suggestion will probably not work, but you can always try. Worst case, it's that you have purchase a retail version of Windows from any store.

If you are patient, wait for Windows 10 is released. You might be able to work around the problem of it being related to the motherboard, or at least 10 Windows can be cheaper to buy retail (I am purely speculating).

If you don't have the extra money right now to buy a new copy of Windows, then please don't follow my suggestion. My suggestion in the previous post probably will not work because you OEM of windows, but it's just something I want to try it personally.

  • How to upgrade drivers for Satellite Pro A200?

I installed Windows 7 on my Toshiba Satellite A200 (psfa1a-003002). And want to update all the drivers for it as well, but I can t seem to find new drivers for it online. Is there a place I can go to find them, or was it a disc that came with the computer that had the Toshiba Utilities who handled the updates that I can download.

I am not the first owner of the computer so no disk came with it.

I can see is the Australian model laptop so if you need drivers you can download on http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/download
I hope that this old A200 is supported for Win7 there is no old or new drivers. It is supported and you can find the drivers, tools and utilities, or you will not find them.

In any case, this old piece of equipment works fine with the drivers included in Win7 and after that Win7 updates installation (optional updates).

I am trying to install a graphics 770 GTX on my computer, but it is still stuck in the first hp screen and then everything freezes.  I did some research and saw that it could be a bios incompatibility and someone said that upgrading the bios to version 8 can solve the problem, but the update does not appear on the hp Web site.

Make sure the motherboard installed is a jasmine.

You should be able to see what your BIOS family is.

Make sure it is ROM family 2AE0...

There is a version 8 available to HP support.  The improvement is to improve the security of code UEFI.
