  • On Satellite P100-160 speakers crackling

    Hi all

I have recently come to buy a new P100 - 160 and overall I am impressed bits with it.

However, there is one thing that is really upset me... and this is the sound quality.

When I bought the computer laptop one of the points of sale, it was that he had "Harman/Kardon" who are supposed to be really, really good. Now, from 3D / Surround sound point of view, I must say that they seem certainly lives up to what I was told.

However - in terms of 'volume capacity' speakers seems not to give maximum... and I don't have to have the volume to the point that neighbors can here it is!

Turn the speakers more than about 1/4 of the way, and the very crazy - especially when he plays speakers/crackle anything with even a slight bit of bass.

I tried to change the equalizer and the volume in Media Player settings, but that didn't help either.

If someone has had this problem, or anyone know what can be the solution?

    Thank you
    Kessa

    You re right.
Certainly, the laptop comes with Harman/kardon speakers and usually these speakers also known as the 'good quality '.
That's why I studied a bit in this forum for similar issues and found this link to the Toshiba document on crackling noise on Satellite P100.
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB6801JF0000R01.htm

It seems the BIOS and driver update should be done.
A tip: you can try to remove the old audio driver files before installing the new.

    Good luck

  • Speakers crackle

I have an Inspiron 11 3000 series and there is a sound of crackling from speakers. How can I fix?

Your laptop should have a pre-installed Realtek audio driver. Assuming that this driver is still installed, you place in the native Windows audio driver to test the speakers.

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the box of Windows search).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

If the speakers crackle even with the native driver then it might well be hardware failure. Contact technical support to get it repaired.

  • Re: Speakers Crackle on Satellite A100-049

I've only had my phone for over a year, but for about six months now the top speakers crackle. Especially when I play music but it can happen when matches are played on there also. Why is this?

Hmm maybe, there is a fault of the speaker.
Have you checked if the same crackling noise would appear using the headset?

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

When windows has reloaded, use the Recovery Manager to reinstall your original IDT HD Audio driver as it is stated in the document at the link below.

  • Satellite A500-026 - the speakers crackle

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with creaking speakers with their A500-026?

There seems to be some problems on the internet with other versions of the A500. This computer was shipped with Windows 7 and has always had problems with the Crackle of the speakers, and in particular with iTunes and Media player. Some people have apparently corrected this with driver updates, but NVidea State should not update to say or the present update of Toshiba.
Toshiba does know that there is a problem?

Should I just return the computer because it is pretty useless if the speakers do not really work! I only got it since November.

    Any advice welcome.

  • Satellite A500 - 17 X gel questions / speakers crackling

    Hello

I recently bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite A500 - 17 X to pc world because I wanted a reasonable multimedia laptop computer price of £700, I'm towards the end of my fault for 28 days and do not know whether to return the laptop or keep it.

From time to time if I let the computer and do not use it for an hour or set mode 'sleep' then when I take it freezes sometimes and I have to turn off the laptop or remove the battery and restart the computer, which arrived about 4 times in 20 days. It freezes completely so that I can t anything.

Sometimes when I play the music from the speakers slightly crackle well that I m not sure if I m just to play out loud as I like my music loud but even when I turn down that I hear it randomly, I already returned your laptop for the same problem, but now you're wondering whether to give up Toshiba and go for something else or stick with them

I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems or everyone finds the laptop works very well with WINDOWS 7 and no problems

Please answer asap would be very grateful

    Thank you

    Hello

For three weeks I have Satellite A500-157. I had with Vista, but after a week, I installed Win7 (clean install). So far, I am convinced, and performance is really good.
I does not have a lot of extra software. I use Office 2007, Skype, MSN messenger and Firefox only.
Last week when I installed Win7 I have found no Win7 drivers for this model of laptop but I did the combination of Vista and Win7 for Satellite A350 pilots. Everything goes well.

With all these stuff pre-installed and portable standard configuration runs stabile and pretty quiet (after updating the BIOS). I use the daily sleep/hibernation mode and up to now I did not notice anything unusual. Laptop wakes up correctly.

Sound is pretty good, but I think that his was better on my older Satellite P200. Maybe the older speakers in P200 were slightly larger and more powerful. In any case, until now, I did not notice whatever it is what can be described as critical behavior and I just hope that mobile will work well in the future without some hardware or software issues.

  • Computer speakers crackling noise

Hello I got my pc for more than 3 years and just discovered this forum!

My pc is only used as a jukebox of the touch screen, but it makes a noise of terrible crackling from the (sometimes stronger than other periods) pc speakers. This always happened, it seems completely crazy that I just decided to solve the problem!

    Any ideas?

Can you please tell us what model of PC do you have? Are you using the original version of the OS preinstalled?
    > What has always happened...
How to understand this? Have you noticed this problem on the first day?

Have you tried to test the sound quality using headphones, different ways to test the internal speakers, whatever it is?
Please post a little more information. This can help us understand the problem.

  • Satellite A20-S103: after HDD upgrade light noise speakers crackle

    Hello

After putting on a new hitachi 160g HDD, I have lived a "cracking" by the speakers sound.

I thought it was something wrong with the hard drive, so I went back to the store and changed it to a seagate, but the noise is still there.

    Hajlu

    Hello

When I see this crackling noise?
It does not appear if you listen to mp3 files stored on the HARD drive or if you are using an audio CD?

160 GB HARD drive is a really imposing size and as far as I know not every size of HARD drive can be used in the notebook.

AFAIK the A20 Sat were shipped with a 40 GB HARD drive.
I don't know if the large size of HARD drive has a bad influence on the sound quality, but it would be very interesting to know if this crackling noise would appear if you use a smaller size of HDD like 60 or 80 GB of m.

By the way; After replacing HARD drive, you have installed the operating system and drivers. Did you use the right audio driver?

After that I have upgraded to windows pro 10, my speakers occasionally, usually just listening to early music to sizzle. It never occurred to me while I was on win7. I tried to reinstall the driver but I couldn't find it on the Acer Web site among the pilots. I have a V3 - 772G.
