HP 15-ax002nc omen: FPS fall

Hello

While playing any game, CS: go to rocket League, I have really high FPS, and then all of a sudden, any game freezes for a second or 2, then back to FPS high. This laptop is now only a few days old. Pilots are underway, the drives are ok, power management is Bitsum Highes Performance CPU core disabled parking. Mode of Intel is also disabled to prevent the throttling of the CPU. GPU works pretty well.

So my question is, what could cause the FPS goes down in the middle of any game? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hey wispy,.

It is covered by the warranty.  Just contact support phone for your country and described the problem.  Tell them that an expert HP says that the solution is a 150w power adapter.  I would like to know if there is a problem.  I'll alert a moderator as well.

    Hi ScottyB10,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft answers Community Forums.

Most of the people have corrected this by updating the drivers for the last available. However, you can also try the following steps

Enable Write Caching' and 'Advanced performance' is enabled for your hard drive.

There may other programs that might decrease performance. I suggest you to check in a clean boot.

    To perform a clean boot:

    1. sign the computer by using an account with administrator rights.

    2. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)

    4. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click OK and then click on restart.

If it works fine then follow the article to find out which program is causing the problem

How to perform a clean boot:

  • HP ENVY m6-n012dx: FPS fall & game lag while plugin

I have some problems serious all at stake.

I can play games with good fps without plug in my power cord.

But, at the time where I plug in the power cord, the fps suddenly drops to less than 15 (sometimes less than 10 also) that the game starts late and it becomes unplayable.

And again, it can be played once I have unplug the power cord.

Because of this problem, I can't play all the games for more than 1.5 hours per single battery charge. I need to charge my battery, wait and then play again.

What is the cause of this problem and how can I solve it?

    Thank you...

These are my PC specs in case you need it:

I just checked what you asked...

At the back of the laptop, he wrote as ENTRY 19.5V, 3.33 A

On the charger, it is written as OUTPUT 19.5V, 2.31 A. And that's a smart adapter 45W.

There's your problem... 3.33 a is larger then A 2.31. You can have more big amp but no more little amperage... your adapter is not able to provide sufficient power.

  • Qosmio F60 - overheating and FPS fall games

    Hello

My Qosmio F60 gets very warm, while gaming and idling, for example, while the cores of game and GPU work around until 75-85Celsius, I don't know how they are idle, but my pumps STILL hot air fan, comparing to all portable computers friends, they don't pump hot heat games unless.

Also while gaming, I get drops FPS while playing, even though I used to run a game on high 60 fps, without drops, now it's on low-head up to about 6 times.

    Help, please.
    Thank you, Harrison

    Hello

Sorry but here a few questions to better understand:
Are you using the original Toshiba preinstalled the operating system or your own version?
Toshiba display driver you are using.

While gaming laptop is placed on the desk?
    All vents are free?
    Do you use new games?

Plan to use everything at stake?
Do you use the maximum level on the graphics settings in the game?

Have you tried playing with the power and graphics settings to see if the result will be a little better?

  • Preformance issues when you play on my Qosimo x 770

    Hello!

I have problems of preformance by playing newer games on my Toshiba Qosmio x 770. Basically, everything works fine the first 30 to 45 minutes of play, but I'm suddenly start getting the temporary fall FPS, which usually lasts from 20 to 60 seconds before everything goes back to normal. The FPS fall occurs more frequently then the more I play, and eventuelly it comes to a point where I can't find it pleasant at all to continue playing. So far, this has happened when the game like Diablo 3, Max Payne 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

My suspicion is that my (Gefore GTX 560 M) graphics card gets overheated as the computer gets very hot. Case of overheating, I think that the clocks autoamtically graphics card down, that eventuelly causes my FPS drops.

I thought that the updated for my video card drivers would solve this problem, but they don't have. (I'm running with the latest 301,42 downloaded from the Nvidias homepage). I even bought an external laptop cooler to better manage the temperature, but the only thing it does is to buy me another 5-10 minutes of play before the start of the late development.

I'm not good with computers in some way, but I really want to get my money's worth when playing computer games. What could I do to fix this? Any help would be much apprecited.

    Hello

Graphic frame drops have been resolved by the BIOS updated
You should check that the Qosmio X series forum there is a long thread on this topic.

  • 100 degrees will damage my gpu

I was game on my y500 (gt650m sli model) however I used only the main map (IE sli has been disabled) I after 5 minutes of playing, I noticed need for speed most wanted has started late and I frame rate drops over 40 less than 20. I kept playing for about 10 minutes, when I noticed the gpu fan was not on (it might have worked however low speed). But I did notice the usual hot air blown by the wind. I immediately stopped and when I checked using nvidia inspector I saw that the times were at 100 degrees. I used the function of dust remove to run the fans at high speed in an attempt to cool quickly, but the main gpu fan still worked. I typed the event and luckily the fan came. Now, it works fine. However, I fear that the 100 degrees could have adversely affected my computer

At least with you FPS fall, this means that the protected GPU itself have not damaged so no worries. You only start to worry if the GPU is not detected by the BIOS and the operating system more.

  • Loud buzzing noise VN7 - 791-G [+ audio clip]

For the last two weeks that I had trouble with a very loud hum staticky coming from the lower left corner of my Aspire VN7 - 791 G (left of the Tablet under the keyboard) when the machine is under load (working in game engines and play games, mainly). I've had this laptop for a little over a year and never had this problem before. Side software, everything seems fine, I have not noticed any FPS fall or freezes / crashes or something of the sort. I get an occasional blue screen, but those who are very rare after all drivers and updates to BIOS (power of State failure or something like that).

The hum seems louder depending on the workload. If I close all active programs, the noise tends to remain constant for couple minutes, then he calms down gradually until it is completely silent.

I tried to record the sound, and when I listen to the helmet that looks a lot like the real thing (but not too strong): http://vocaroo.com/i/s1cZvjzHgHs5.

Also: I have not tried to replicate this again, but earlier I was running a game on the battery from the battery by accident. The machine has been completely silent. After awhile, I got a message saying battery was weak, so I plugged in the charger and... instantly, heard the buzz with a maximum volume (not a gradual increase as usual). Could it have something to do with the power save settings perhaps? Or more likely as a material thing?

    Thank you

    So, I have good news...

In a last effort attempt, I decided to open my laptop and remove the front left speaker, because I was almost certain that it is the noise. I unplugged the mobo, unscrewed it and removed from the chassis. I tried all day and I can confirm that the hum is GONE now!

It's kinda something hacky that I have now only 3 speakers instead of 4, but I'm just happy that I am able to reuse this thing in the workplace. CE marking as resolved.

I don't have the battery connected more since its broken. I tried a different power adapter and its giving the same error. It only happens when I play games, meaning when it requires more power then my FPS fall and I can't play the game anymore. I think that its my motherboard. Help, please.

Solved the problem. I swapped the video card in my m17x r4 (7970 m) friends

I can't answer without landmarks for GTA4. I have no personal experience with the features of laptops.
It is difficult to extrapolate from the reviewed games, but like I said earlier I think, you'd be in the research and low and medium settings even with a small monitor. You can get 30-40 fps average.
Games in itself is not the needs of fps, but what frame rate cuts
below 20 things are starting to become seriously agitated and crashing is more likely.

People have different opinions on what are the playable fps. I am very pleased with very small minimum SPF with some games. I used to play Crysis with minimum of 20 frames per second.
I consider 35 average fps + as smooth in most games. Some games seem smoother with lower than other fps.
Some games like Oblivion have a highly variable rate. Oblivion on my
the current machine (AMD Phenom 965 @3. 4 GHz / GTX560ti / resolution 1920 x 1080) will always be as low as 20 fps fall sometimes (when it is mounted on a fast horse), but averages closer to 50 frames per second.
Other games, like Crysis 2 have a very stable fps with only a variation of 10 frames per second.
However, many insist that anything below 50 FPS is unplayable. I guess they eyes of Superman or a lot of money for high-end machines.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with GTA4 on your laptop because I like to see
all the pleasure of the eyes a game can offer.  Old games and games with the drop in spending would be better suited to your laptop - IMO.
I got GTA Vice City and San Andreas were more fun than GTA4.

  • Why is my file exported 2 seconds longer than the project in my calendar

I use a Mac, most recent OSX. I need my project to run for exactly 30 minutes. In the timeline panel, my project is marked exactly 30 minutes since the entry/exit points. When I export the media with Premier Pro, I find myself with a final product that is 30 minutes and 2 seconds. Where are these two additional seconds coming? I have had my range source defined for the sequence of entry/exit points and this reading as exactly 30 minutes, and time of release scheduled for final export read 30 minutes exactly. He added another two extra seconds so I then set the custom and typed in 30 minutes exactly source range and it gives me AGAIN 2 additional seconds. What happens here?

Export the analytical reading of parameters as follows

    1920 x 1080 (1.0)

    23.976 fps

    Progressive

    00:30:00:00

    VBR

    1 pass

    Target of 0.19 MB/s

    0.19 MB/s max

    AAFC

    320 Kbps

    48 kHz

    Stereo

Because at the breast of Premiere Pro, you are reading the non‑drop frame timecode-based total.

Depending on what version of Quicktime that you use, you can click on the counter and change the value of the displayed numbers:

When the standard is in real time. If you switch no Drop, you'll see that it displays length (wrongly) only 30 minutes.

If you use Quicktime 10 I think you can only display in real-time.

That's all, because your video runs at 23.976 frames per second. That means it runs slightly slower than real time, which would be true 24 fps. During the 30 minute period, the reading of this slow frame makes the show running more than two seconds.

That's why in NTSC 29.97 and 59,94 video it is drop and non - drop timecode. Drop timecode drops timecode numbers of images over time to compensate for the difference that the video data rate is slightly slower in real time.

Under drop, when you have a duration of 30 minutes, it is consistent in real time 30 minutes.

In timecode non-goutte, when you have a duration of 30 minutes actually will be slightly longer for broadcast.

It is not a standard for 24 fps fall time frame, it's always non-goutte. You cannot switch so he abandoned the time frame if your sequence rate is 23.976 or 24 fps.

    Math:

If you have had 30 minutes of film running at 24 i/s-IPS 24 X 60 = 1440 images in a 1440 x 30 = 43200 minute frames, in the show. (So no - drop TC, that counts the frames without taking account the speed true reading, shows a duration of 30 minutes)

But since the video, in fact, turns slightly slower, at 23.976, as these 43200 managers take more time to play par.024 frame per second of real time.  So 43200 (your total see the amount of images) divided by 23.976 (playout by second image) = 1801.801802 seconds, which is 30 minutes, 1.8 seconds.

Avid used to (and may still not) come with a calculator to do this conversion and to help make the number of images = the time you wish.

It is worth noting that in commercial production, with a duration of 30 or 60 seconds, this whole mess is less apparent. It appears when you are working with whole trunks of program. That's why they invented the drop time frame.

One solution is to tighten the edict of 1.8 seconds for 30 minutes

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your 15 HP Omen and the slow performance when playing some games in Windows 10. Try perform a reset.

When you perform a hard reset note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

This will put end to all programs can run in the background of slowing things down.

You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

Here is a document that could help. It shows a lot of thing to help performance.

Please let me know how it goes.

  • Fall FPS in CS

Yes, I know. MacBook aren't game machines, but they are able to run well enough cs... I have FPS around 150 and my MacBook Air (2014) is not yet using fan and it is not hot. You know. I play on 4:3 and low resoulution and graphics. But I have FPS drops popping up randomly and when I got to drop I get about 15 frames per second. It's like 10seconds but struggle is really bad. I have not had this problem before. Everything worked well. OFC I close all the applications I have used before as normally. Please help me m8s...

Using OS version 10.10? Have you checked on the Web site help?

    Try a reboot.

Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • FPS at random falls on Acer Aspire E5 - 571 while it is plugged

    Hello

I so had this problem since I got this computer and have not been able to solve. Basically, when I play a game and my computer is plugged in, then my fps randomly will increase from about 60 to about 10. If I run out of battery then I stay at 60 fps. This happens even when the battery is disconnected and I'm running off the AC adapter only. I have only these issues when playing games like Counter Strike or Dota 2 and not, for example, Undertale (which is much less intense). It also does not occur when you watch videos or browse the internet.

I tried to change the power scheme settings, change the power management settings and upgrade drivers graphics. I am running windows 10, but there is still this problem until I updated to 8.1. Could this be a problem with my charger? One reason, I think that maybe it is that never displays the correct time until this fully loaded (right now it says 01 minute until this that fully charged, well that I only have a load of 65%). I have also considered trying to update the BIOS (Insyde Corp. V1.09, the version/date of the day is 11/07/2014).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The current bios is 1.31 and there are 5 updates bios between you and it. It's a lot of changes.  I would definitely update the bios, and if you do not have the latest version of the bios grafics, too...

I don't know that your power settings for plugged are the same as battery.

Return to CPU power management and set power and battery to 99%.
