Installed Windows 8 and all drivers; unknown device
I always have an unknown device in Device Manager:
ACPI\VEN_LEN & DEV_0078
I have the latest version of the bios 2.02.
Does anyone knows how to fix this?
Thanks for your suggestion. I initially thought the same thing and reinstalled the driver for power management, but the unknown device is still there. It's actually the Intel Management Engine Interface 8.1 and Serial Over LAN (SOL) Driver for Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad I forgot to install.

Satellite A100-784 (PAAANE) could not find XP drivers - unknown devices
Please, I need your help.
I bought 4 days ago, that a laptop Toshiba, detailed spec is attached (Satellite A100-768, dual core) and with it the Vista system with directx 10. I was not satisfied of how things work on this system (there is no game that worked on this NFS3, NF CARBON, ST LEGACY) so I decided to reinstall the system and put XPSP2, and I did.
Now, I was aware that I need to find drivers, so I looked on the site, and I have not found an exact match with the model, so I download drivers for the Satellite A100-S8111TD (American toshiba site) but only for sound, blue tooth, hotkey, utilities, and so, but only for the wireless driver I don't have (50megs Hugh via modem 50 kbit / s).
Also, I downloaded the Intel drivers for the motherboard and card graphics, and everything works fine, BUT!
One of the problems out, driver for sound card does not work - installation of the driver is fine, but it does not start. In Device Manager, there are 3 question mark and the other! brand of sound card, that it is said that cannot start, code 10.
3? the brands are for the network adapter, Ethernet, mass storage<- what="" drivers="" that="" i="" need="" to="" download="" to="" get="" reed="" off="">->One of the drivers that I downloaded did something in the command prompt window, and I suspect that he flashed the BIOS and now I have error of TPM. This module of TPM, I found in the Security tab in the Bios, but I can't change, it wouldn't let me.
And yet one thing, again, no game wouldn't start, what's happeningPlease, give me advice, I'm desperate
Thank you for your comments.
Keep in touch.I could send a picture of a problem to any mail if necessary
Hello
First of all, you can also try to download the drivers of Toshiba Europe page.
There are also various series A100 XP drivers. In any case, I guess the sound does not work because the wrong driver XP has been installed.
Different series A100 supports different sound cards. As far as I know that your device A100-784 supports the audio Realtek ALC 861 HD sound card.
That's why you use the Realtek driver. The phone also supports a code name of the PM Express Chipset Intel 945 CalistogaPM + ICH7-M. I recommend you to install the Intel chipset diver. You can find it on the Intel page.
Question marks appear in Device Manager, because you need compatible drivers!
I guess you need the driver for LAN and WLan card. The laptop uses Intel 82562GZ (Ekron) LAN card and, therefore, you need to find the driver that support this chip!
I'm not sure on the map of Wi-Fi but it seems that it s an Atheros WLan card.Like I said above try the drivers from different series A100 and goggle more for 3 third-party drivers.
Good luck

G7-2224nr HP: drivers unknown
Good day my most skilled HP friends! I come back to you with a problem that I can not get a solution. In Device Manager, my 2224nr of the g7, has said that there are 2 missing drivers 'unknown device'. It does not indicate which devices they are. I found many of the same questions here and on Google. The answers always led to a link for the drivers of HP. However, I've tried almost all of them, nothing helps. Reluctantly, I downloaded a 'device locater' program He told me that the missing pilot was: "device Realtek audio-USB", using Microsoft 6.1.7600.167. But there is NO driver! Since then consult the HP site, the site of AMD and the: Realtek site, I got nowhere! All of my existing equipment works, and I don't know what a "USB audio device" is same. I'm under Win. 8.1 and it started after a drive re-installed at the factory. Someone at - it ideas? THANKS TO YOU ALL!

You are the very welcome.
This device has the HP wireless button Driver that I posted above.

a trick to find the drivers for "unknown devices".
I see a lot of messages on the forum in which users try to find the drivers for "unknown devices" in the Device Manager. That's how I usually go on the search for drivers for these users. I thought that the community, this may be useful.
I use a site called pilot identifier. However, I do NOT use the stand-alone application. I'm NOT suggesting that do you. I have not used the app, so I can't speak to its usefulness.
I use the site to determine exactly what is the material element. To do this, the site doesn't have a search function, I use a updated Google search the. I will now give the steps with examples.
First of all, you need the hardware ID for your hardware. To locate this information, follow these steps.- Click Start, type "Device Manager" and press ENTER.
- Look for the device that needs a driver.
- Right click on the device and select Properties.
- Go to the tab "Details".
- Select hardware ID from the drop-down.
Here is an example of a hardware ID:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_10EC & DEV_0662 & SUBSYS_103C3047 & REV_1001.
I then use this Hardware ID and Google to determine what the hardware item by searching for the use of the site: modifier for Google. So, my research looks like this
"site:www.driveridentifier.com .HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_10EC & DEV_0662 & SUBSYS_103C3047 & REV_1001.
When I go to the first result, it will be, in general, identify the material at the top of the page. Here is the page for my research above. The page identifies audio material like "realtek high definition", which is correct because it's the hardware for my sound card ID.
Now, on this page if you scroll down it gives you a list of all OEM drivers for this piece of hardware. However, you cannot download the drivers from them without having to install their software. What I do is so, note the name of the driver for HP. In this case, you will see that she is named "sp59642.exe".Because I can not download the driver from the website, or even be directly connected to HP's Support site from there, I still use Google.
This time, I use a search of "sp59642.exe" in Google, which returns this page as the first result.I can't always find the executables that are listed by pilot identifier. For example, I can't locate sp59660 or sp59662 who are both on the same list. So it may take a few tries to find a driver, but I had some success using this method.
I hope the community finds this useful tip. Have a great week everyone!

Hey,.
To be honest I n don't know what the problem is. Your model belongs to the series of PSAB6E and as a result, you can get all the drivers on the Toshiba page:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversAlternatively, you can find the installation instructions document. This is a list for driver installation order recommend. Follow these instructions to get back to factory settings. All the drivers you need are also available on the Toshiba page.
