HP 2050 does not accept the hp original cartridge recommended

Hello! My HP deskjet 2050 all-in-one works very well under windows xp professional until the cartridge ran out of ink. As advised I bought an original HP 301 cartridge but the printer always tells me that the cartridge is not usable in the current configuration?

As I need the printer, I hope you can help... Thank you!

When you call HP, you must have with you:

  1. A complete set of in the cartridges of the warranty for your current region.
  2. Your printer.
  3. The computer connected to your printer.

As long as the printer or the ink cartridges are under warranty, there should be no charge.

    Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community. This problem can occur because of incorrect settings of Internet Explorer.     Research I found that this problem can be solved by resetting the Internet Explorer settings. Try the following steps:

    1. Press the logo Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.

    2. Type inetcpl.cpl in the Run dialog box, press enter.

    4. Click apply , then ok.

    If you receive Windows Update error 6d9e while installing SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 by using Windows Update, it means that the installation folders and directories are compressed or encrypted.

    To fix this problem, make sure the folder locations where you are installing the service pack to aren't compressed or encrypted, or specify a different folder and then run Windows Update again.

    Therefore, remove the compression of the DATA directory and run together to the top again.

    Remove compression from the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server folder and see if you are able to install the updates without any problem.
