HP 2159 m Monitor

I have two HP 2159 m monitor. Somehow my second monitor became an analog monitor in its settings and I don't know how about hidden it back to a HP 2159 m in the settings. I clicked on the monitor, set it as a monitor of 2159 m HP, but it reverts to analogue as soon as I click 'ok '.

Hello

Be sure to only have a single entry active on the monitor.

Click the Menu button on the bottom right, then switch down to Source code control, then default Source. Choose your default favorite and don't forget to save when you exit.

  • HP 2159 m monitor - problem is 'running ants' vertical lines about 1 mm interval during the video display.

At the following problem troubleshooting steps:

    (1) monitor confirmed cable is properly attached to the monitor and CPU.

    (2) monitor reset to the default settings in the monitor menu.

    (3) installed the latest driver - HP 2159 m 2.0

    (4) installed the latest driver NVIDIA graphics - 285.62

Described as "mobile dash", as vertical lines appear to be 1 pixel wide, several pixels long, black, separated by spaces of many pixels and move vertically (up/down) direction.  Lines are separated by 1 or 2 mm.  On rare occasions, the lines are horizontal rather than vertical.

I see this effect during video playback.  Mobile dots are more pronounced with mid - grey tones.

Rarely see a few stray clusters of white pixels on screen in any of the video areas.

Would appreciate any suggestions to solve.

It's a graphics card from Nvidia to the wrong address.  I was satisfiled with my HP and support products.

  • HP 2159 m monitor audio does not work

I would have assumed that the driver download, etc., would have set up correctly, but it does not work. (or I'm expecting something that does not happen?) For example, in listening to an Internet radio station, the only sound I get is from the hard drive & not the speakers in the monitor. Any ideas?

How did your monitor connected to your PC?   VGA, DVI or HDMI?   VGA or DVI connections need an audio cable from the monitor to the audio output on the back of your PC.

What model of PC you are using?

I have this same split-screen on my e9280t PC connected via DVI with audio cable.

  • Wrong color on new monitor 2159 m

We just unpacked & implemented the new HP 2159 m monitor & the color is kind of dull olive/yellow harmonic. We (thought) we had loaded the drivers, etc., on the site, but the color has not changed. I tried troubleshooting with the Menu & Auto keys on the lower right side of the screen; I also went to the sequence of Start/Control Panel/display for help, but no luck. We have missed a step somewhere? Anyone? Thank you!

pls do not take into account, I am a fool. very light clamping of the cable on the door drive our colors to normal. Thanks for the support!

  • Can I connect a VGA cable simultaneously with a DVI cable to a monitor and use the source switch?

I found a similar, but not exact question and I was wondering if I could use the VGA cable AND cable DVI simultaneously on a HP 2159 m monitor and switch back and forth from analog and digital using the source switch on the screen? I noticed that some casual games such as found at BigFish and other gaming sites works best on VGA on DVI but I like to watch movies and other DVI instead of VGA?

I did two HP 2159 m monitor but it could in fact be wise space more convenient to just use the right now and switch from the analog to the digital format.

    Thanks for any response.

    Hello

You will need to edit the video in the monitor source selection when you want to switch.  Don't put it on AUTO.

For a test, connect two monitors and then configure your PC for two monitors. Then, remove the monitor as the secondary (VGA) and now connect the cable to the main monitor VGA port.  Now try the video source selection in the menu of the monitor.  I never tried it on my 2159 m but it can work.

Some monitors do not react to two active flows.

  • HP2159m: New pc to the old monitor connection

I'm trying to connect an old HP 2159 m monitor (VGA) to a new desktop pc - HP Envy Phoenix.

The VGA cable is not compatible with this new pc.

    What is the best solution?

Buy a monitor more up-to-date?  ~ or ~ get a new cable and if so, what type?

    Thank you kindly in advance.

I found that the best solution was to simply buy a HDMI cable which perfectly solves the problem.

    Thank you.

I had no noise for a week.  I've done all the troubleshooting suggested, downloaded drivers updated, try a new cable for speaker, tucked in a system before his departure, all for nothing doesn't.  On the test of the volume in the monitor menu we sound of them but by clicking the volume doesn't make no sound.

I suspect a problem getting the computer to the monitor, but I'm out of ideas.

    Help please.

    Hello

You can either: have your PC serviced by HP or, much cheaper (alternative) buy a discrete sound card and install it on the motherboard.

I did option 2 on a HP PC with audio integrated with satisfactory results. You have available PCI Express x 1 slots for the discreet addition of audio on your PC.

  • 2159 m 'Quick View Modes '.

I just bought a new monitor of 2159 m. Manual and the page of the HP store for her (http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/display/display//3/storefronts/FV585AA%2523ABA), the State "Customize your opinion: optimize display for movies, pictures or games with one of the fast display modes. But where can I find these 'Quick views '? I've been through OSD menus and I don't know that it isn't here. The manual does not help you, it comes, it lists as characteristic but said nothing more on the subject. I am connected via DVI if that makes a difference.

Could someone help me please? This feature was a major decision-maker in when choosing the 2159 m above other monitors.

  • No video signal from HP Pavilion monitor m7560n

HP Pavilion m7560n, THE graphic card NVIDIA GeForce, monitor HP 2159 m, Windows XP.

Screen went black with the message "no signal". I tried the monitor and cable on another computer, it worked, this isn't a problem with the monitor or the cable. The VGA connector and graphics is integrated in the motherboard, so I can't try another video card. TV-out connectors, isn't the PC so I can't use TV as a monitor. Is there another option, how to continue with the debugging before replacing the motherboard?

    Thank you.

Most of these cards in PCIe x 16 v2.0 should work on your computer as long as it requires a 300 watt power supply system power or less. The 2 x 0 series is the oldest, while the 6 x 0 series is the most recent. Cards are plug-and-play... but you need to install a device driver for the card. The HP BIOS should automatically detect the card and disable the integrated graphics card. If you still have problems after the installation of a card, we will have to look for other issues.

  • Need help to find an adapter for a third-party monitor

Hi all! I find myself in need of a little guidance, and I hope that someone out there will have a quick n easy for me...

I have a Mid-2011 27 'iMac. which has two ports Thunderbolt It is taken with a Wacom tablet that I use constantly, and the other is made by an external hard drive to a solid state, which has a built-in cable to Thunderbolt (no way to hang it on a different port). I also have a 27 "HP monitor that is currently connected via an HDMI USB adapter.

The problem is that the HP monitor is actual "jiggy" - the USB does not seem fast enough to deal with requests for the monitor. It is almost unusable. I know I should run it via a HDMI adapter Thunderbolt, but as I have already mentioned the two my Thunderbolt ports are already in use.

Someone at - it ideas? I need sort of three to two ports Thunderbolt hooks, but I can't seem to find anything for less than $300 that would work. (I am illiterate when it comes to the different cables, adapters, ports, etc., so I hope someone can point me in the right direction by using short words... Most of the products that I travel through list specifications that me Chicane).

The monitor has two HDMIs and a VGA port, and my iMac has a Firewire 800 port, if that helps at all...

2011 iMac have only 1 Thunderbolt port and there is no such thing as a Mid-2011, you must have an iMac of year later, if it has 2 ports Thunderbolt. All the 27 "iMacs, from 2012 to 2015 the current have 2 ports Thunderbolt.

  • MBP: monitor detected but no image except by VGA

I have a MBP of Mid 2012 running latest El Capitan.

When I connect to an external monitor, it is detected correctly in views (exact name, resolution, etc.), but the monitor doesn't detect any image from the portable computer. I tried the DVI - D and DisplayPort with various cables and monitors with the same result, but a picture appears if I connect to VGA. It started in the past week.

The built-in display does not work normally.

Looks like a hardware failure in the computer DisplayPort connector laptop, as the pins are worn or something?

    Any other ideas?

Model: MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015)

OS: macOS Sierra: 10.12 (installed via the upgrade, own installed after this problem).

Do not forget that you are using the activity monitor version which was installed when you upgraded to Sierra. Activity monitor located in the your Mac utilities folder.

If you have moved a previous version to a different location, it will not work.

If you are using the correct version, post crash report. Error reports lies in the application of the Console under System reports or reports from usersand end in the suffix .crash. If you choose to do so, omit or hide any information that you consider personal.

This facility has worked with El Capitan (2 Thunderbolts-> DisplayPort + HDMI 1 = 3 monitors).

Update of macOS Sierra - as soon as I connect a 3rd monitor (any order) - it freezes the whole system. Two monitors works very well

If I boot with three monitors connected, the screen goes black and I have to power down manually.

My system: MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, end of 2013)

Same problem reported by other users on SuperUser.com.

Someone else had a similar problem? Everyone is running the same configuration without problem? All known resolution?

There has been a lot of complaints of not being able to use the resolution full screen on 3 monitors of party, who has worked in El Capitan.  I've seen all the problems such as you report.

However, I guess the graphics driver passed under changes in the Sierra, and it is possible, that this is yet another side effect.

You may very well be a bug, so that developers know that there is still another problem with the graphics driver Sierra
