HP 2311 gt (Big Black Border)

I have a HP 2311 gt 3D monitor.

It was working fine, until the Windows 8.1 update - now, the screen has a thick black border around it; I thought it would sort itself, but it's not doing anything. I tried HP suggestions to http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01775596 , but they were not accurate.

Please someone help me it gets very frustrating!

Abdul

I just fixed the problem BLACK at the BORDER.

In the Catalyst Control Center (CCC for short), check if the following settings:

Right-click on your desktop and go to the Catalyst Control Center. Switch to advanced mode if it isn't already.
-At the top left, click on the menu "Graph", then "Desktops & displays.
-For your desired display, left, click on the small black triangle in the lower part of the screen, on the SMALL image, not the BIG and click on 'configure '.

This part is very CRUCIAL. There is a little image of a TINY TINY TINY TINY arrow display down FAR LEFT of the CCC menu. It's this LITTLE ARROW that you click on the button that says "Base...". "and the button that says 'OK' when you click the arrow of llittle black small-small (not the big black arrow in the middle of the CCC window you will be able to click on 'Configure', then the following will be available):

There are 6 buttons at the top of the CCC

    Attributes

    Avivo color

    Scaling options

    HDTV support

    Screen LCD Overdrive

    Pixel format

    Under attributes

-Check the box "Enable the GPU scaling" and select "scale image to full panel size. Hit apply.

    Under scale Options

-There is a scroll bar to set Underscan and Overscan. I updated 0% Overscan and everything was perfect instantly.

    Click on apply

  • When turned on my laptop, there is a black border around the screen.

    Original title: screen resolution problem

    Hello

A few weeks ago, I turned on my laptopn and there was a black border around the screen. I managed to change the screen resolution, but my laptop seems to think that I have a dual monitor? And my resolution is still not like it was before. Obviously this isn't a huge problem, but it's annoying to have to go and change it regularly.

In addition, given that this has started to happen, I noticed that when I turn on my laptopn, instead of the usual Acer / Windows startup screen, the screen is all black, until the login screen appears. I don't know if this is related or how, once again, this isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but if an update is installed, you do not see the progress it's making!

I ran a system restore, without success.

Running Windows 7 on a laptop Acer Aspire. Any suggestions welcome, although I'm not that tech-savvy!

    Thank you

    Hello

The first thing to check is your theme controls. Go to the control panel and select personalization. When this window opens, go down and select wallpaper. When this window opens go to the lower left corner and make sure that the background that position of the image is set to 'bridge '. Save the changes and return (right click on the name of the theme in the theme dialog box).

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • Mysterious black border (only) at the bottom of the first screen iPhone

I have an iOS application that I wrote in 2011, and I'm trying to upgrade to the latest iOS and devices.  I have a thick black border at the bottom of the first screen of my request, for most combinations Device/Simulator and iOS. This is * not * a black border at the top and at the bottom of the screen problem, who has been treated exhaustively in the forums.

There is only a single black border at the bottom of the screen. Also, the border is only broadcast on the first screen of my request, that has buttons to go to the rest of the application. Even if I navigate to the first screen of my request, somewhere inside the application, the border becomes visible. There is no black border in the other forms in the application, apart from the first screen.

It is * not * seems to be a launch image problem. I have a picture of launch, [email protected], and the launch image works fine. Here are the setups I get or don't get the black border:

iPhone 5 (iOS 9.2) simulator - black border

iPhone 5 (iOS 8.1.3) device - without black border

iPhone (iOS 9.2) 5s simulator - black border

    iPhone 5 s (iOS 9.1) peripheral border - black

iPhone 6 sec more (iOS 9.2) Simulator - black border

iPad 2 (iOS 9.2) Simulator - without black border

iPad (iOS 9.2) air Simulator - no black border

iPad 2 Air (iOS 9.2) Simulator - without black border

Pro Simulator (iOS 9.2) iPad - thick black border all around the application window

retina Simulator (iOS 9.2) iPad - without black border (at the bottom of the screen)

I tried everything I could think of, but nothing seems to work.

  • How can I get rid of the black border around my screen?

After an update, my screen resolution changed for no reason. Tried to change, but now I have a black border around my screen that I can't get rid of.

    Hello

Windows Update will sometimes offer you updates of graphics drivers; NEVER accept them.

Only go graphics drivers of your computer or the manufacturer of the graphics Web site map.

Go to the website of your computer manufacturer > drivers download Section > then key in your computer model number > find your operating system > find two graphics / video or from the Chipset drivers and download and install.

Then try to change the screen resolution.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Here is the information on the Windows updates.

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"How to hide or show an update of Windows Vista"

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/72491-Windows-Update.html

Here's how to chanage update settings, if you think it is necessary to:

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/Windows-Vista-updates-and-extras/

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

    See you soon.

  • Black border around window

I do not know what I changed, but now I have a black border of 1 "around my screen.  Ground of the screen is set to 1920 x 1080, which is the native resolution of the display.  I can't find a sizing option from the menu of the monitor or in the options ATI Catalyst.  If I lower the ground to something lower, say, 1280 x 1000 screen is filled.  But I shouldn't do that.  Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

I think you're right on my installation of Windows 7.  I had several problems cultures towards the top has so did a reinstall on top of the original.  Problem solved!  Thank you.

  • Displaying video MP4 in Windows Live Photo Gallery is big black box covering screen

Direct problem photo library - a video file viewing MP4 leaves a big black box about the size of the video, covering most of the screen. I can see the WLPG homepage on the edges of the black box and click on the pictures (i.e. go to the next image), but is the black box and the program is unusable.  The black box can be removed leaving WLPG and restart.  I changed the default viewer for WLPG video but the problem remains.  Thank you...

I have updated the driver from the NVIDIA site but no improvement.  But I have now solved the problem successfully.  Some time ago I downloaded DivX Plus.  I noticed that the video at the origin of the problem was a small DivX HD logo on it, so this program must have reset my settings by default and converted my files was not asking.  I uninstalled all parts of DivX and the problem is solved.   Thanks again for your support.

  • Does not recognize a narrow black border a white border when printing without margins

    Photosmart D7460, Vista 64 bit,

If I put a white border around a picture with a narrow black border outside a photograph and select borderless printing knows no black and white borders and prints the image within the borders to the edge of the page.

If I want white edges around pictures and a full letter size print, I get a border that is wider at the bottom than at the top of the page.

Can I configure it to print even a white border around the photo of the letter size?

    and

Can I get the printer to recognize a border color around an image when printing without margins?

I have only access to the X 2 version, here's a predetermined print schema.

Note the Center on the page option.

You can use the balance: option to increase or decrease the white border.
