HP 250 G2: Coffee on laptop HP 250 G2

Hi a paid staff member a cup of coffee on his HP 250 Portable G2 screen has been damaged so I ordered a replacement screen and told him to back up his files just incase the screen isn't the only damage. I replaced the screen with a new job one I turn the computer is turned on and the screen is dark and unreadable, I ask if she has saved his record and say she ' s not yet to tell him the motherboard is damaged because of the coffee and she can't use the laptop until I've backed up his notebook and installed the HARD drive in a new laptop but it does not backup 200 GB of office music and Photo files takes time and make the laptop and the old HDD as a whole works is not a quick job

In fact, put the old HDD in a new laptop and its use are not really legal unless you change the license key for the operating system.

The operating system on the old hard drive is allowed to the laptop as it was delivered in.

Instead, copy the data from the hard drive to support external storage, and then in folders in the new notebook operating system.

    Hello
I bought this F10 in Poland 18 months ago so warranty has expired.
I would like to correct and revive only if the repair costs will not go on the purchase of a new brand. I send you a few screens, so it may be useful to diagnose the problem. I hope that this is not the case, to get the new graphics card.
There are also the new keyboard as friend coffee spit on it. Something about 1 month later, after that an accident like coffee, computer laptop went crazy, display seems to be damaged (as on the screens), fan is running at full capacity and windows only run in safe mode with the parameters of the low screen - 800 x 600:4 bits. However I am able to change the resolution to 1296 x 800:32 bits, but the laptop works even more slowly.

Is there a chance that I can fix this? Let me know.

I agree with Jonny. For me, the worst case scenario for damaging the material is so portable crashed or separation liquid in keyboard.

I imagine that the replacement of the material will be too expensive and best solution is to sell this laptop faulty and buy a new one.

  • HP 250 G4: With 4 HP 250 laptop and BT home hub WiFi problem

I just got a new laptop for my wife and finds it difficult to connect to my wifi at home.  Working wifi and android hotspot is perfectly fine.

    Laptop is 250 (8 GB of Ram, Windows 10 i3) G4, with a Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter.

It connects to a BT Home Hub.  Whenever I connect to the wifi (Wired is fine) I receive a status 'no. Internet, secure '.

All other devices in the House can connect properly, Inc. Windows 10 Tablet.

The HP laptop connects to my wifi works and my android hotspot, but not the BT Home Hub.

I tried to update the drivers and factory reset the laptop.

Everyone comes through this, or have any ideas I can try before I have to send the laptop back?

Problem solved!  It seems I've hit a form any limit of IP on the BT home hub.

I deleted the old devices from the homehub admin screen and was able to connect with no issues.

  • HP 250 G4: Yet I am interesting in the upgrade of my GPU (laptop)

I have a computer laptop g4 250 HP with an intel i5-5200u and integrated graphics card HD 5500. I've heard a thousand times that it is impossible to add a dedicated gpu on a laptop, but:

HP provides aservice guide with the largest part of the laptop. Is it possible to buy a motherboard with the AMD Radeon R5 M330, replace my current motherboard with it and add my current processor while basically, I'll add a dedicated GPU?

If somehow, it is not possible, please suggest other ways. I put up-to-date now, but looking for options to upgrade for the future. Also, I'm satisfied with the performance of my current built-in gpu, but I'm tired of them since my last 4 PCs have Intel graphics...

    Thank you.

Well, I looked at the manual and I'm sorry to say that this is one of those where mothers include the processor, welded in full. There is no Chinese restaurant motherboard where you choose 1 from column A and one from column B. It is what it is. If you want the dedicated video you must mark the motherboard with the processor and the chip video and everything and hold on to your wallet. They are very expensive on the newer models.

  • HP 250 g3: impossible to format laptop

    Hello, I need help please!

Yesterday, I bought a hp 250 g3 without operating system and I'll have much trouble after format.

I have windows 7 ultimate x 64 disc, but after much cleaned formats successfully I can't install hp drivers.

I have downloaded all drivers on the hp support site and when I use a usb key to save it on my new laptop stick is not recognizable! I also tried several different sticks but all are the same, laptop can not recognize anything and I can't install drivers.

The other big problem is when I plug in an ethernet cable to connect the laptop to the internet is no longer recognizable. I can't connect to the internet with a wi - fi also because the drivers are missing.

Please help me find a solution, I never had a problem like that, why hp sells laptops freedos if I can't put the drivers inside.

Sorry for my bad English, I'm writing correctly. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Welcome!

I'm sorry to hear about your problem.

Provider like HP sell most of the computers with the operating system preinstalled. When the person buys a machine with no OS, they are supposed to know how to install the drivers and how to set up their machine with the desired OS.

The USB key can be broken (highly unlikely) or insert you in a port (Cap) for which the drivers are not installed. Windows doesn't know what to do with them. You could also be inserted the USB into USB v3 port (if any)?

Solutuons-> burn the drivers on CD/DVD and insert the support for the laptop. Transfer the files and install ALL drivers.

Finally, apply all Windows including optional updates. I checked, and your model includes CD/DVD device.

  • HP 250 G5 laptop: Re-upgrade a Windows 7 Professional 64 laptop downgraded to Windows Pro 64 10

I have a laptop HP 250 G5 with Windows 7 64 Professional installed and activated by the manufacturer (as it is possible through 10 Pro 64 Windows downgrade rights).

Key export is available, however, are placed only in the firmware, I guess, for the derivation of Windows 10.

So, the question is if it is theoretically possible to re - install Windows 10 64 Pro, with only the original rights and the key to virtual product and in which of these ways:

    Clean install of the operating system, pre-installed programs loss;

    Upgrade of the operating system;

System to dual-boot, in the case.

    Thanks in advance!

I have been informed by marshals on this forum that Downgrade on a PC Win10 rights are to be exercised at the factory--until the PC is delivered - and is not something that a consumer may exercise after receiving the product.

But I'm not an expert in this area, and you should probably check with customer service HP at this topic (the details are below).

Win10 license information has been incorporated into the PC's UEFI firmware when it was built - if it's still there.  But, I was told that it works with the Win10 HP OEM version - which you can NOT download from Microsoft.

So, if you wanted to go back to Win10, you need to get a HP recovery media to do so.

What is NOT legal is using the same license for two different versions of the operating system - which is what happens when people move from Win7/8 to Win10 on a PC while retaining the older OS work.

You said you had right to demotion, then of course, this is the same limitation that you cannot run a HP OEM Win7 OS and and HP OEM Win10 OS on the same PC, using the same license.

If you purchase your license, you can use this OS in combination with any other OS, without any license issues.

  • Laptop computer doesNot boot HP G62t-250. HP Recovery Manager not fixing no problem. Windws7 Hm Premium 64 bit

Computer laptop HP G62t-250 will not start. Does not recover. Windows 7 Home.

He continues to send me to the Recovery Manager.  I tried all the options except System Recovery HP Recovery Manager, b/c I don't want to lose my files (music, photos, work).  None of the other options seem to be working.

Microsoft System Restore is not helping and maintains loops back to HP Recovery Manager.

At the DOS prompt, dir on the C drive shows no files.

I would say pulling hard disk and backup of the data, so you don't lose it.  You can buy a USB to IDE SATA adapter & from a third party site to do so.  Then I try to run the recovery once you know that your data is safe.  If this does not work as you might need to call the 1-800-hp invent hp to make your machine.  Hope this helps
