Hello

Your first consideration should be Support HP or HP sales during the consideration of upgrades or replacement of memory. If you want to consider other manufacturers of the best way to avoid memory problems is to contact one of the leading manufacturers of memory. I would recommend that you try the tools of these manufacturers: Corsair, Kingston andCrucial. Once you have determined the DIMMs that you need, then contact commercial or technical support to check that you have selected the correct DIMMS. If you buy directly from manufacturers, then they will stand behind their products.

Test each dimm one at a time. Try this memory bootable Diagnostics CD. Download memtest86 iso file and burn the disk using Imgburn. Memtest86 4.20 more Installer USB.

It is preferable to use the DIMMS matched.

  • Adding RAM for MacBook Pro 13 inches without retina

    Hey,.

I want to buy a MacBook Pro 13 inch without retina. The description says that I can buy the version with 4 or 8 GB of RAM, but I wish I had 16, at least. Is it possible to put a 16 GB of RAM on a MacBook Pro 13 inch without retina?

If this is the model of non-retine of 2012, then you can install 16GBs of RAM, but not by Apple. Then buy the 4 GB model then visit OWC to buy two 8 GB modules to replace the two accompanying him.

Maximum memory (Real) 16 GB 8 GB (Apple)
    Memory locations 2-204-pin PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

The above is for 2012 non - retina 13 "model.

I know that I can add 1 G more RAM for my HP dv6000 laptop which currently has 1 gig of RAM for a total of 2 G.  But since I upgraded the OS from Vista to Windows 7 with SP1 64-bit, clocked at 1.6 ghz, do I add even more to reach a total of 3 G or 4 G?   It seems that the limiting factor is the speed of 1.6 ghz.

It is a 2 GB max model with an AMD processor. You have meg modules 2 x 512, you need to throw it and buy 2 x 1 gig modules.

    This is what you need:

    1-4 + 4 GB

    Thank you

    From the Manual:

Two customer accessible/upgradable memory module slots

Support for dual channel DDR3L (1600 MHz)

Support 8192 MB RAM system in the following configurations:

    8192 MB (8192 MB × 1, × 4096 MB 2)

    Manual download link

See page 53 for instructions. Memory access is easy via the service Panel. This is the part number for the approved 4 HP concert module:

    4 GB (PC3L, 12800, 1600 MHz) 691740-001

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-691740-001-4GB-1600MHz-PC3L-12800/DP/B00CI08FX4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1451655870 & SR = 8-2 & Keywords = 691740-001

A 8 GB module is listed in the manual, and it's a 3rd generation of processor i5 I suspect 2 x 8 = 16 concerts would work, but strictly following the manual your only option is to add a 4 GB for a total of 8. Most users really not more 8 GB and adding a second identical module will allow two-channel operation, so you should see a noticeable jump in the overall performance.

  • Upgrade of RAM for a Satellite A100-847

I want to upgrade the RAM for my A100-847 of my current 512 MB by adding another module for 512 MB, but I face a problem of compatibility because looking at the manual only compatible modules is as follows:
    256 MB: PA3389U - 1 M 25

    1 GB: PA3411U-1M1G
I tried to look for a module with these codes, but I have found none in Romania. I could find a module of another manufacturer with the same specifications, but I don't know if these would work properly.
    So I need some advice.

    Hello

the manufacturer that you saw? Will they have the same characteristics, then they should go up. The best decision would be to take some kingston or the essential modules. They have been tested to work well with toshibas, just so consider buy some kingstons with the specifications of the original toshiba modules and have fun with them.

In the case of some other question just ask.

  • Upgrading RAM for the Pavilion N011AX

I want to improve my 8 GB RAM. With the one that came with the laptop, the total should be 12 GB. (I checked, there are 2 slots for RAM in this laptop)

My question is, this laptop will accept 4 GB + 8 GB of RAM? Adding RAM is

    Samsung 8 GB DDR3L 1600 PC3L - 12800S 1.35v

This laptop motherboard is HP 216 (with chipset A55/A60M FCH).

    Thanks in advance.

You don't mention the name of the full model (Pavilion 15 / Pavilion 14).
Anyway, the two would support up to 12 GB (8 GB + 4 GB) with the configuration that you mentioned.

You can go ahead with the purchase.

I have to mention that adding another 4 GB with the same config would give you the advantage of boost dual-channel.

Thank you for your help and your recommendations!

Hello.  I'll answer my own questions in the last post above.  Fortunately, HP expert Paul Tikanen resolved my questions in a thread with the following response.  Thank you, Mr. Tikkanen!

"The faster the memory will run in your laptop is at 1066 Mhz, which is the speed of the FSB of the i5 - 450 M.

    processor.

    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/49022/Intel-Core-i5-450M-processor-3M-cache-2_40-GHz?q=%20i5-450M

So, my recommendation would be for you to buy a module of memory 4 GB DDR3 PC3 - 10600 (1333 MHz).

Thus, even the 1333 MHz chip will only work at 1066 MHz.

I had a lot of success with this configuration of brand and the memory chip.

Regardless of the brand you download, make sure he's 8 the little black chips of memory on each side of the Board, not 4.

  • Flickering screen 17 Alienware r3 after adding ram

I have a new r3 Alienware 17 it came with 8 GB of ram, I just added ram 2x16gb 2133 corsair.  When I put power back on the screen started to Flash, it is very pronounced in the office when I open the start menu.  I checked the BIOS is updated.  I put the old RAM in and flicker went.

I checked that this computer is rated for 32 GB, so I wonder what I do wrong or if I need to update other elements to make this work.

    Any help is appreciated!

Could be many things, software packages to the specifics of the hardware. We usually use Kingston, Toshiba, Samsung and Hynix.

  • Maximum RAM for old computer with operating system updated

I have old a laptop Compaq Presario C700 initially provided with 1 GB of RAM and Windows Vista.  This computer has since been updated for Windows 7 32-bit and upgrade to 2 GB of RAM.  I checked Crucial site and he informed me that the maximum RAM for this computer is the 2 GB that I am currently.  Despite this, I read the posts of people successfully 3 to 4GB of RAM installed and still having their computer function properly.  I also read that the maximum RAM that can run on a Windows 7 32-bit system is 4 GB.

Since I now have Windows 7, I will be able to further improve my computer to a 4 GB of RAM or the hardware of the laptop itself prevents me to do?

The manual for a Compaq Presario C700 says on page 2 supports up to 2 GB of RAM:
    http://www.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01301275.PDF

With all computers, you have two factors limiting the amount of RAM memory that may be installed, or the motherboard, and the version of Windows installed. In your case, it is the motherboard that prevent you from adding more RAM.

  • Inspiron 530 - adding RAM

    Hello

    I want to buy a memory to my inspiron 530! Here > http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/category.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&category_id=4325&mfgpid=1226170&chassisid=-1<- the="" 1="" gb="" module="" (28="">

I read on documentation (http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/inspd530/en/OM/HTML/parts.htm#wp1580857) when I install memory I need to remove the PCI Express x 16 card... I don't understand. I thought adding ram was simple and all you had to do is open the case, insert the ram and secure them correctly and then close the case. Start the pc and it's done.

I know that my inspiron 530 can have only 4 GB of ram. I have 2 GB of ram for now.

Is there something I need to know? Is there something different?

Dell is not offering Win7 drivers for this model. I suggest you go here and read some of the links on the upgrade to Windows 7. Run the Win 7 Upgrade Advisor first to see what it says on your system.

Without knowing what equipment you have (for example, video card, sound card, network adapter, etc.), it is impossible for anyone to tell you exactly what drivers you need. In some cases, but not all cases, Vista 64-bit drivers can work. The Vista 64 drivers are here. (Confirms that he says again Vista 64-bit upstairs when you load the page!) And if you use your Service tag (do not post here!) you can find a list of drivers installed Dell, so at least you will know what hardware you have, but keep in mind these drivers for Vista 32 bit.

You can also go here for links to the hardware and instructions to install Win 7. And you can search these forums for discussions on installing Win 7 on the Inspiron 530 to see which other users may have met problems.
