HP 4645: No color printing on MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.5

My HP 4645 does not print the colors of my computer, even if the test page prints color.  I have a MacBook pro w/Yosemite 10.10.5

I went on the link of beta and did not find anything specific to my problem.

Help, please!

Welcome to the HP Forums @JWays! I'd love to help you print in color from your Mac. I understand that you are able to print in color test pages but when printing from the computer your impressions with no color. Did you install the full feature software and driver, or you use the Apple software update? Also, you use the AirPrint driver, or the driver HP.

Please follow the instructions below to check which driver you are using and change:

  1. Click on the Apple and then click on System Preferences.
  2. In the hardware section, click on Printers and Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan dialog box opens.
  3. Click on your printer if it is selected and find beside 'type' to see which driver is used.
  4. If you see AirPrint, remove the printer, then click on the small symbol to add the printer back again.
  5. Choose your printer and click on the drop down next to the 'use '. You will see the option to choose your printer in this "use" drop down. The image below is a screenshot of an Officejet printer, but help to display my description.

If you see the HP printer that is already in use and not AirPrint, deleting the printer and add it again using the AirPrint driver. This will help isolate the driver as the first cause one way or other part.

If this resolves the issue, please click Accept as Solution below; If not, let me know and I will do everything I can to help.

  • How to enable two-sided printing on MacBook Pro with Canon MX490 printer

    Hello

I have the MacBook Pro (retina, 13-inch, early 2013) and OS X version 10.11.4 (15E65) and Printer series Canon MX490.

When I try to make a double-sided, the printer settings printing does not allow me activate two-sided printing.

Also when I go into the settings of the printer, there is no option for me to select this option to enable printing double-sided or duplex printing etc..

When I try to print with TextEdit settings, I still get the same printer settings and it does not allow me to enable two-sided printing.

I couldn't find answers online, and frankly it's frustrating. I would appreciate if anyone can help with the problem.

    Thank you very much!

This is the screenshot of the settings under the printer to textedit. Sorry I don't tie with the original message earlier.

  • How to install the printer PDF for Acrobat 9 Pro on my MacBook Pro with Yosemite?

Hello. I recently had to have the hard drive on my mac pro erased book and I had to reinstall CS4. After that, I'm more able to use acrobat 9 pro. Whenever I try to open the program it says there are missing components and there's just frozen. I have to force quit to exit the program. More recently he told me that the PDF printer is missing. How can I solve this problem?

    Hi Erin Gabrielle,

I understand your concern that Acrobat 9 previously worked for you, but since it is not compatible with Yosemite it might work or might not work and give rise to any type of question.

Acrobat Pro DC is fully compatible with Mac Yosemite. You can also try the trial of DC Adobe Acrobat which is fully functional for 30 days. Link to download the trial free trial download Adobe Acrobat | Acrobat Pro DC

  • I have a Macbook Pro, with Yosemite.  I want to buy desktop software but so many bad reviews online.  Should I buy 2011 version instead?

I have a Macbook Pro 2014 and I use OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite).  I have an older version of Office (2008) and you want to upgrade.  But I saw a lot of bad reviews of the version of 2016.  Should I buy the 2011 version or the version of 2016?  I mainly use Word and Excel sometimes.

Initially, there are problems with Office for Mac 2016 and El Capitan, but those who seem to be resolved.

I myself would get 2016 later if I wanted an Office for Mac.

  • MacBook Pro with Yosemite does not

My cursor is replaced by a horizontal line with the arrows on each side and where all windows (including office) to the left (so that. Is there is a black space on the right side of the screen, and I can't do anything on the computer.  I can move the cursor, but I can't click on anything!  After a while, I decided to try to force to leave them. However, I can not even that, because my cursor click nothing.  I got the screen force to quit, but I can't click on "force quit".  I had both safari and overview, at the time, and the top of the window was a downloaded document, I read in the preview.  Did someone here knows how I can get my computer work?

I pressed CTRL-command-power to restart, as suggested in an article that I found for frozen addressing of computers frozen (although mine was not 100%). It seems to have worked - desktop and cursor now seem normal and I can click on things.

However the print with my macbook and the tablet will not work. Or the printjob freezes in the print queue (after 13%) or he know finished printjob and the printer does not respond.

I tried several times to reinstall the software, repeatedly reset the router, printer, and macbook but its still the same.

A new fact is that a printjob finally out of the printer after about an hour.

    Help!

    MacBook Pro with OS 10.7.5

    iPad 2

    Hi Herman,.

OK... to sum up cela a bit for my understanding...

1 printing works via AirPrint so connected in WiFi Direct to the printer.

    2. Printing now works very well with the HP printer driver in your typical network, but only with added using the IP printer.

Can you please also test printing with HP printer driver when the Officejet is connected via Wireless Direct and added as a device Hello? I'm curious to see if it works now, which means the HP printer driver works well.

It works, so the printer and driver are fine.

If that works fine, but still print via AirPrint or HP driver printer using Hello connection fails in your regular network, then this is somehow related to your router settings. Please check if all multicast or IGMP settings that need to be enabled or disabled. I also suggest to contact your service provider for details on your router.

  • Cannot print Duplex in word on the J6450 printer using MacBook Pro

I currently have a MacBook Pro with Microsoft Office for Mac 2011.  Using Word, I can't understand how to print two-sided my HP J6450.  Help, please.

I tried again and part of your answer works.  When I changed the selected printer of HP J6450 Fax in HP J6450, HP printing accessory choice two-sided (duplex unit) then become available to verify.  However, if you are using Mac MS Word 2011, I noticed that the dialog box layout has does not match your screen prints.  Under "Presets", I have a choice called "Copies and Pages".  My screen is a little different that yours, but your instructions are so good that I was able to link edge long.  Once this has been verified, I was able to print double-sided.  Thank you!!!  One last question, using the Mac, what are the commands to do a print screen?  Thank you once again.  You make my life easier.

  • Is no longer able to print from MacBook Pro Wireless to wired C7280

I've been grafted this on an existing thread, thinking it was the same question.  Looks like it was something else now, so I thought I should probably for this spin-off on its own thread.

    Details:

Printer: The Photosmart C7280 all-in-One, connected to the network via Ethernet, IP 192.168.1.5 (confirmed with the network Menu > view network settings > display wired summary)

Router: Verizon/Actiontec MI424-WR (Verizon FiOS) with

    * Ethernet ports

    * 802. 11B and 11 g with WPA encryption

Desktop computer: iMac with Mac OS 10.5.8, Ethernet connection.  I initially installed the HP from the CD software when we arrived the 7280 a few years ago, but we've probably updated since then.

My laptop: MacBook Pro with Mac OS 10.5.8, WiFi.  I think that the HP software has been downloaded originally from hp.com (rather than the original CD).

Mobile woman: MacBook with Mac OS 10.6.3 free Wi - Fi.  Downloaded HP software from hp.com.

We have been able to print from laptops on the 7280 until several days ago.  After that, whatever it is sent by laptops remained on the queue of the printer without any reaction from the printer, even after the usual stuff (electric bike on printers, printers pausing and unpausing, holding jobs and unholding, etc..)

Our laptops seem to lose wireless connection a bit more frequently than normal, and at first I thought it was the problem.  Lately, however, can't do anything to print even when wireless connection remains strong.  I can print from iMac, however.

As stated above, my wife MacBook has 10.6.3, so I'll try instructions on other threads to uninstall the HP software and using the built-in 10.6 drivers.  If I can lift the MacBook from my wife long enough :-)

During this time, I tried to troubleshoot my MacBook Pro.  I can ping 192.168.1.5, and I can pull up the printer web page by entering '192.168.1.5' in my web browser.

So I followed the instructions here:

    e http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam = c01893662 & tmp_task = solveCategory & lc = en & dlc = en & c...

(title: Mac OS X: print jobs are stuck in the print queue and Will not print on a network product)

I followed the Solution 1 (remove and readd printer) until I got to steps 7 and 8.  The printer has not been automatically added to the list of printers, so I clicked on the Add button, but was not able to choose my printer in the list.  Some information contained in Solution 2 seemed to hint that I had a connectivity issue and suggested that I look for network connectivity solutions.  Unfortunately, all network connectivity as Windows-specific utility called FAQ, so I decided to uninstall the HP software (using Uninstall HP).  I downloaded HP_Installer_PSC7200_v9.7.1.dmg to hp.com and ran to her, but here's what happened:

    • To step select the device, no device appears even if the printer is turned on and on the network.  (As noted earlier, I can ping it.)  I checked "my device is not listed" and clicked on continue; When "Photosmart C7200 series" appeared, I chose it.
    • In the subset "Select device connection", I chose "network". (The "device" in this question is the printer - right?)
    • I went through the step of the installation.
    • No device has been registered at the configuration stage.  I have it handled in the same way that step select the device ("my device isn't", continue, click on 'Photosmart C7200 series' continue, 'Network', continue.)
    • This time, I got this dialog box: "If your device is not listed, it is not supported by the installer.  Please visit www.hp.com/support to download an installer, if available"even if it was the correct Installer for C7200 and Mac 10.5.

I forgot something?  What should I try next?

It seems that the printer is OK and that it is on the network.  You can optionally set a static IP for it, but we will do things first.

The first thing I would try would be to reset the printing system on all the Macs in the problem:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (Ctrl) click the box of the print queue and select Reset Printing System.
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

If it's not it there may be something to do with the router.  I have some ideas, if necessary.  Let me know.

Try to add a page to a pages document. It worked until now but just finished page 13 with text and photos and cannot add another page, using macbook pro with El Capitan and the most recent version of the Pages.

You have placed your beam to insert at the end of your text on page 13 and then apply Insert menu: Page Break? In the v5.6.2, Pages I just add a new page to a section of four pages to this approach.

I have a model end of 2013 13 MacBook Pro with 4 GB or RAM retina and think to upgrade to El Capitan. Is this enough RAM

Of course you can upgrade to El Capitan. But I think better if you can change the internal hard drive (SATA drive) in the SSD drive. You will get better results, faster than still, you only have 4 GB. This is mine... MacBook pro in early 2011.
