The screen freezes, then jumps and thaws

Using OS X El Capitan, 10.11.6, but it is with me since Mountain Lion days

Often, my screen work can go "dead". No response from the mouse, not the ability to drag the pane all. It usually jumps laterally or vertically a few mm when this happens. Just as suddenly, after a few seconds or a minute, he can come alive again and I can continue to work. When this happens, there is no visual anomalies. Here is my presentation of the material.

I am using the magic mouse, but the same thing happens when I try my old Dell USB mouse, so the mouse doesn't seem to be the problem.

It's really bugging me, I would be very happy to find a solution!

  • Trackpad of MacBook Pro gets stuck and the screen freezes with pink and yellow lines

So I'm really frustrated. I got my Macbook pro less than a year ago and Ive already had to get a bunch of replaced parts. I got my computer fixed as 3-4 weeks ago and they had to replace a lot of things (can't remember not what it was, but they had to remove all of the computer and replace some things that have been associated with the battery power /). Recently my computer did this weird thing where the screen freezes and pixelated pink and yellow lines will take right on the screen. In addition, the trackpad will be just stuck and I have to turn off my computer and turn it back on so that everything works. Someone at - he heard about something like that? I thought that maybe when I had my computer repaired they didn't replace not all properly? I did a check of the hardware on my computer (self-control an Apple recommended prior to an appointment at the Genius Bar) and he said that everything was going well. This poll looks like a hardware problem? Could this be a virus? Someone hack into my computer? I don't know, I'm just worried and frustrated :/

    Thank you!

I couldn't start my computer. I have a lot of data in my hard drive. What can I do to start computer or recover my data?

    First run Memtest86 +:
It runs from a floppy disk or CD and should eliminate or confirm if your one or more of your memory
sticks are bad or the values of the SPD in the BIOS are correct.
Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours (at least 3 full passes), if no errors, then your RAM is OK.

I use photoshop elements 12 on Macbook air and the screen freezes when I try to use the tools. Then I have to force quit if I lose my job. someone knows how to fix this?

What version of Mac OS X are you using? If the Yosemite, you will need to upgrade to 10.10.1 or higher version.

In any case, start by going in the editor preferences > general, click this button and the restart of the Editor:

  • Whenever I click on Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, they take so much time to start, says "not responding" and the screen freezes.

    Hi LotusPink,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm sorry to hear that you are having these problems with your iMac. I'm sure we can help understand you what is happening, but we might need a little more detail about what exactly you see. What I understand, you're saying that your iMac's freezing at some point during the boot process and no answer or go further. is that correct? If you can describe the exact screen it freezes, as well as all the details (indicators of progress bars progress, messages or guests or spinning, etc.), which can be useful. You can find the following article useful to identify the different screens you see during the boot process:

On the screens, you see when you start your Mac - Apple Support

  • During playback of a movie the screen freezes upwards of ten to twenty minutes in the film

During playback of a movie, the screen freezes up to ten to twenty minutes in the film.  I called HP and update the computer but it still freezes.  I had the computer less than a year but never been able to play a movie via DVD > downloads still work.  Should I replace the CD/DVD drive?

    Hello

First, try the automated Microsoft fixit at the link below.

    Windows 7

    Vista

Check to see if the player will now play a DVD correctly.

If it still does not work, click on the Menu start, open the all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In at the prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

sfc/scannow                (Note that there is a space between sfc and /)

Let the entire process, then the output type and press ENTER.

Then, click on the Start Menu, open Control Panel and click Device Manager.  Click to open the CD/DVD-ROM drives.  Right-click on the drive and choose uninstall.  Do not delete if requested drivers.  When the device has been uninstalled click the icon 'Search for hardware changes' (usually just below help in the toolbar).  Let windows reinstall the disc and see if it now plays a DVD.

If none of the above helped, and given that your laptop is less than a year, I would highly recommend that you contact HP using the link below and make arrangements for the laptop to be repaired if it is still under warranty.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

  • Satellite A105 - 1/3 of the screen freezes regularly

I have a Satellite A105 and the lower part of the 1/3 of the screen freezes regularly, but the top 2/3 of the screen is perfectly fine.
After pressing the lower part of the screen or the border around the bottom of the screen for a while, it will go back to normal.
After the slightest movement, it will begin to go haywire again.
I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a problem with the screen or would it be the inverter?

The inverter provides simply for the backlight voltage, he can't knock out 1/3 of the image.

The problem is more likely to be the Module LCD or LCD Cable screen.
