Screen LCD 19 inches of HP w1907s: wf1907 - white screen

My friend is having problems with its monitor and currently cannot go on the forums or get technical support itself. I come here to get clear answers on what might happen, rather than going by my pure speculation. I do not have this control myself, so this is outside my field of exact experience. (She also lives in another State and I can't help or look at the configuration physically. I'll have him describe as much as she can to me.)

I know, she has a Compaq WF1907 monitor with its configuration of the desktop (Windows 7 PC). Just today, she used her computer and suddenly the screen of the monitor has started to Flash a little until it became all white. She tried to restart it and it just does the same thing every time. After awhile, he completely exploded.

She found a new spare cable to replace the other connect its monitor to your computer, and it has only allowed the monitor to return completely white again.

My first assumptions were in the realm of a graphics card is going bad, or in loose / damaged cables. However, she has a new graphics card that has been installed recently and made the first speculation probably not (I'm not sure what his graphics card is good - just that it's brand new). Speculation of cable is uncertain now because not even another cable helped the white screen go away. This shrink me down to thinking, this is a problem with the screen itself, but I'm not sure.

So I came here to ask about it for my friend and she needs answers as soon as possible. She has things she must do it on his computer, but now its own monitor screen is out of use. Can she do now?

@just-a-guest, welcome to the forum.

Here is a guide that can give you a little help.  I agree that this is very probably a monitor failed.  The image on the Product Specifications page and the fact that it is a Compaq, it seems to be older.

The video card is newer does not mean that he could not have failed.  I got a new out of the box be DOA.  So, does it completely.

  • Grey flicker LCD screen

    Hi all!

I have a problem that I suspect that some of you might have known. I have an Acer Aspire V5 - 573G for a little over a year now. Yesterday my LCD started flickering of colours grey and white. He normally gets back to normal as soon as I gently tap the screen. A half hour ago, the screen went totally crazy as you can see in the image below. Taps did not help more and I had to stop and restart in order to get back to normal again.

So how is this problem caused? I saw many people wrote about this on other ACER models. Are different views on what is wrong (backlight, cable, graphic, bios). Do you know what is really the cause and how it can be fixed?

I'd appreciate some info really, because this notebook is vital for my work.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Philippe,

Watch this video. The connector is located behind the inverter. This is probably your problem.

  • A60: Question on other screen resolutions

    Hello

I use a satellite A60 with Ati Mobility Radeon 7000 IGP graphics card.

I think to buy an external LCD 24 inches with screen resolution: 1920 * 1200

Function of the manual user the maximum resolution is 2048 * 1536, but widescreen resolutions are not at all included in the table.

This screen works to my laptop?

    Thank you!

    Willem

    Hello

Unfortunately I m unaware of the 24 screens but as said Quad you can test you laptop on this form of LSD. But generally, you can use different display resolutions and you don t have to use the max screen resolution.

  • Qosmio g20 - best replacement screen?

    Hello

My lcd screen has lines running down it (different colors) and is wide right vertically blurred 2inches in the middle.

Now I'd like replace the LCD 17 inches but theres more than 1 part number to pass.
    I have reference numbers

    LG Philips LP171WP3
    N170C1-L02

both are WXGA + 1440 X 900 display, SUPER HIGHBRIGHT (BRILLIANT) XBRIGHT.

    So which one to buy?

    Thank you

Well, the replacement of the screen is a costly affair!
The LCD is one of the more expensive parts of portable (apart from the motherboard) then maybe you should make a choice between a party of second hand and the new screen. If you wanted to buy a new screen and then you would have a new warranty but it s more expensive. On the other hand; no little cheaper warranty

A new LCD can be ordered from the ASP in your country. I also found this site useful:

    [Toshiba Qosmio G20 LCD screens | http://www.screentekinc.com/Toshiba_Qosmio_G20--17-inch--1440x900-wxgaplus-laptop-lcd-screen.shtml]

    The right LCD part number are; * P000429540 * and * G33C0002K110 *.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L300D-20R - horizontal white line on screen

Switched my laptop this morning and the display is simmering and seems to have a shadow. The top 2 inches is OK; under the tent of 2 inches, there is a horizontal white line about 1/16 "thick. below this line, the screen is simmering, appears dark and foggy.

What can I do to fix this?

That's better than you can do. I assume that the display is faulty somehow.

  • Y510 LCD video cable is damaged - a replacement is available?

Y510 my daughter had problems of hinge. A few months after a shop replaced the hinges, there was a smell of burning and the screen went black. The computer works with an external monitor, and if you shine a flashlight on the LCD screen, you can see that an image is displayed. My conclusion is that everything works except the backlight of the display.

The cables that go to the motherboard display appears damaged. It is not the cable that I find on eBay (14G2200SD10MLV). The wrong cable has a label with 2 numbers. On top, he said 70 - NE31L1603, there is a barcode in the middle and at the bottom it says LCD 15483 8568017. It has a white plastic on each end connector with I think 10 drivers. The part on the motherboard is flat and covered with black cloth, and then the part that runs through the hinge area is round and covered with gray cloth Ribbon. Series without the computer. is ABU0077444.

Does anyone know if a replacement is available anywhere?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Wm_A_Weevil,

You are probably referring to the LCD Inverter Board.

  • Screensaver W2408 HELP problem!

I bought a new a6667 Pavilion with a beam of monitor W2408 from Costco 2 weeks. I have Vista 64 bit system. I love the whole beam with one exception close. I don't really have a new monitor, I have a monitor LCD 19 inches, but when I saw this monitor and it's beautiful, the colors were on the monitor, I decided to take the beam. Now for my problem. When my screensaver on my photos are on for an hour turn black and white photos! I contacted hp support email. They suggested to check my settings for the screen saver, they were all together on the right. Then they said maybe it's graphic drivers corrupted so I reinstalled the graphics drivers. The same problem. Then they sent me a link to an update of drivers, I got this message when you try to install the update... The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. You can get the correct driver from the computer manufacturer. So I tried got directly to the site Web of Intels driver update. My says Device Manager my driver is a G33/G31, on the Web of Intels site there is no chipset called that. Then I tried an update G/33 and got this message... Detected custom computer manufacturer driver. Contact the manufacturer of the computer for the updates. So now they tell me to plug another monitor to the PC and see if it works well and that would mean it is a problem of monitor, but they think it's the PC. So I hooked another monitor to the PC and to this day (1 day) black and white photos are not displayed to the top. They want to do me a restore of the system on the PC. I do not I will return the whole works at Costco first. Now, to make it really interesting to my father bought a Costco package the same day, same PC, but a 22 inch monitor and it is having the same problem of black and white!  I know this isn't a horrible problem but I bought the monitor for the quality of the colors and I won't look at the black and white pictures when I pass in front of the PC! Please tell me that we are not the only people having this problem. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

OK updated for this... the screensaver just went black and white on the old monitor, so I guess that the problem is in the PC.

    ARGGGHHH!

I solved this problem with the help of Vistaheads forums. All I had to do was put my classic screensaver instead of random. They suggested that Vista was selected randomly, the black and white adjustment. Logic for me.

  • Screen LCD HP w1907 and placement of external hard drive.

I was wondering if my new set-up is safe. I mounted my monitor on a wall bracket and I have a drive external hard iOmega 1 TB on a half inch behind it. Is this safe, or will I have to move the hard disk so as not to affect the performance of each device? I don't want something bad happens or, but especially not the hard drive. I'm including two pictures so you can see what I mean. You'll excuse the mess, because I just finished the installation, a few minutes ago. A picture is a front view, to show what looks like the establishment. The other is a side view, so you can see what kind of game I'm talking about. The hard drive and monitor do not touch each other, but it's less than an inch between the two, and like I said before, I don't want to take any chances on ruining the monitor or the hard drive. Thanks in advance for any input you can give me.

Thanks for a quick reply Aussie. The pictures she showed not too well, but there is a gap of 1 inch between the top of the screen and the bottom of the shelf I rode slot, maybe a little more. I made sure to leave enough space for the power button as well as I wanted it to have the appearance to be suspended in the air, more or less. I'm not really worried about the heat out of the hard drive, because this is only on the top, which is closer to the screen, BUT, I have a small bedside fan that I mounted in the thread hole to extract hot air out, and it works fine. The upper part of the hard drive gets that warm now, rather than being about to burn a helping hand when I had put it on the desktop, on the side walk.

My main concern had to do with magnetic things, which apparently does not apply to LCDs, because this configuration has worked very well since I had finished it. I think that only applies to CRT monitors, because everything I pulled hard in the last week and a half the disk worked fine!

Thanks again for the quick response!

  • Satellite U200 - 1920x1080@64Hz on the external LCD screen resolution problem

I am the owner of a SATELLITE U200 and I would use it with an external LCD display.

The external monitor supports up to 1920x1080@64Hz.

When I select the 1920x1080@64Hz option in the properties of the screen, I get an image enlarged and out of range of the scale. However, by selecting 1400x1050@60Hz seems to work very well.

It s nice that your monitor supports the screen resolution 1920 x 1080, but you should check your owner's manual.

On page B-4, you will find a list of the supported screen resolution and I must say that the resolution 1920 x 1080 is not taken in charge.
    You can select 1920 x 1440 but not 1920 x 1080.

Sorry, but the material doesn't supports his screen resolution.

  • Air bubble in the screen X 61 LCD Tablet

My X 61 Tablet is currently guaranteed but I have repeatedly rejected by links of 'technical' Lenovo declaring that it is hours billable damage caused by the user. Apparently, I've been asked too much pressure on the LCD screen bringing packed - several times.

Here is the chronology of events that shows the incompetence of their so-called engineering team.

-Online all about end of August 2009, I see a bubble of surfacing of behind the bezel 2 "the edge at the bottom left of the screen

-Online I follow the routine to open a ticket, got a box, copy and backup data, box / send the machine and prepare weeks of lost productivity without a laptop

=> After nearly two weeks, I have received communication about the bubble and am told immediately that the fix would be chargeable (about $700) to replace the LCD screen if I chose to move forward

=> I have request an escalation and a more accurate report of what they thought the problem was. That whiles away several days and I get a picture of their repair center
    IMAGE: http://ivywood.org/Pics/Misc/lenovo/19241050.gif

=>, They put a sticker next to the bubble and asserted that he was a crack due to pressure on the LCD screen. "Even the slightest pressure can sometimes cause a crack to appear. Never mind the fact that a Tablet is intended to be used with a pen that must somehow make contact with the LCD screen! . I also explained that the laptop has not been used with a pen for a long time, so even question of the application of pressure.

-Online three weeks after the debacle, I get another say there is has nothing that Lenovo will do since it is a damage caused by the user. I really wanted to know how this was determined so I started to probe further. Now the explanations get really outrageous.

"Lenovo: a crack on an LCD screen, it's like a windshield of a car." It can grow over time. »

Note that a crack in a window without deriving a few inches over time. It can grow but it does not move

"Lenovo: Mr President, our technical department is the last word on this issue and they have determined that it is a chargeable repair.

At this point, I'm getting argumentative and challenge the jurisdiction of the people doing this diagnostic.

"Lenovo: If you think that we made a mistake, you are free to go to a small claims court." Is there anything else we can help you? »

Way to go from Lenovo. Home customer service is the best

Fast forward to two months and November 5, 2009, yet another bubble starts appearing behind the bezel from exactly the right lower corner. Once more, in this case off no provocation whatsoever. First of all, I see a tiny line on the edge as I work that develops slowly in a semicircle.

    IMAGE: http://ivywood.org/Pics/Misc/lenovo/DSC_7168.jpg

This time I wanted to make sure that the movement of the bubble is saved so I took another photo a day later

    http://ivywood.org/pics/Misc/Lenovo/DSC_7170.jpg

=>, I opened a ticket and get the first support call normal. Ask them to refer to the post previous DNHDGY8 before that I take on the hassle of being without a machine an indefinite period of time.

=> It goes without saying that I got the same answer that once more, I put too much pressure somewhere.

[QOUTE] We are unable to determine what caused the damage, but once it's here, and our team determines it is damageed we can do a chargeable repair. We cannot determine which determined what caused the damage, because we weren't there when it happened [/QOUTE]

No matter how many bubbles appear from nowhere or no reason, is somehow my fault. I suggest that it clearly resembles a problem in the manufacturing sector. However, incompetent repair team has the last word, so I don't know how it can never be described as a matter of generation. It almost seems that these game acclaimed experts are required to report issues that they do not understand as a customer mishandling.

Now, I'm not saying this is a matter of MFG. without reason. If you notice, the lower right corner of the screen on a X 61 becomes very hot. The LCD itself is composed of several layers and bound with the edges open to the air. Continuous heating and cooling mastic can deteriorate over time. If even a specification of air is trapped in this phase, for example between the glass and the polarizing film, what happens during the next heating cycle? The bubble grow first and because of the pressure variation, try to move away from the heat source, raising.

That's what I could deduce so far. One thing any technician silent willl confirm is that it is surely not a crack!

    LAST UPDATED NOVEMBER 6, 2009
I was struck once more, but I kept the open ticket so we will see how this past time. It is not a question for $700, but more info on write off a problem with misdiagnosis and inadequate technical reasoning. It is almost about to be fraudulent.

I guess that many have faced this problem had not said anything. Hope this helps someone. I'll update here as this case unfolds.

My screen laptop for some reason any (must have hit somewhere) does not work properly.
So I have to replace because I need my laptop for my work and I have a lot of files that I need.

My laptop is 4-5 years so I don't want to pay a whole fortune to replace my LCD screen
This is the A of Toshiba Satellite series with screen 15 inches.

For the month next (until 27 August), I'd be in Paris because of some jobs and I need repair my laptop so that I can work.

If anyone knows anything, where I can get a screen at a reasonable price, please respond as soon as possible.
I found this site selling LCD screens http://pchub.com/uph/category/115/15-TFT-LCD.html but im not sure which one to buy for my model is.

Please, any help is needed... It s quite urgent.
    Thank you very much.
    yours,
    Andreas chouliaras

    Hi Andreas

As you probably know the LCD and mobile motherboards is one of the most expensive parts. The new parts cost a small fortune
I studied a bit on the net and found this site with 15 compatible screens for a Sat A10.

The new view costs about $ 325... so it s really not a cheap part!

What do you think about part of second hand?

  • Two vertical lines on my LCD screen

    Please, help me...

Two vertical lines about 2 inches, width is one black and one white.

They appear on my lcd screen in the middle of the left since the start. Always in the same position.

Later, when the desktop appears, we the black remains black and a white becames an occasional color (or a combination of several mobile colors).

I tried to use an external monitor, and I didn't have the problem.

I tried with 'doctor test' PC hardware, but all the tests have been adopted.

I would understand if the problem is the video driver, the LCD, the joint between the GPU and the motherboard, or the lcd. If the GPU is the problem, can I replace it without changing the motherboard or not?

My PC is Thinkpad R60 9461-DXG and he is 2 years old.

My BIOS version is 7CETD2WW (2.22)

My OS is Windows XP pro SP3.

My GPU is ATI Radeon X 1400

My version of the video driver is 8.442.3.0 03/01/2008

You can try replacing the cable of the screen first, then if that doesn't work the LCD.

The manual on how to do these replacement is here.
