HP 8740: Scanned pages individual name

After I scann save multiple sheets into individual files, every time that I have, I have to save under a common name as leaf, leaf 1-1, 1-2, sheet 1-3, etc.  Is it possible to click on individual sheets and ' Save as ' to add the file name since everyone must have a unique name or a number, such as invoices.

Hi @Boaty

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to click on individual files and "Save as."

However, you can name a specific file name for example invoice, but there will be a number running after you save it.

You can refer to the other post, we said about 'Steps to appoint a specific file name' (step 6)

Hope that helps!

How can I get a multiple scan of page rather than each page individually?  Want D110, windows XP

    Hello

To scan multiple pages into a single file, be sure to run the scan of the PC and not from the device:

    1. From the desktop, click the icon of 110 HP Envy.
    2. Under the Action of the scanner, click the Scan a Document link or the picture.
    3. In the left pane, select the Document file (the PDF icon) and click on scan...
    4. Use the Plus button to scan additional pages.
    5. When you have finished scanning the pages, click on the button Save to complete the analytical work.

  • All of a sudden I can't the plugin scan page opens. I get 'Plugin finding Service Error', regardless of how many times I try or wait. When I first opened it up yesterday, it was scanning, then it disappeared and I got the error message.

I have opened the plugin scanning page several times before and did a few updated plugins recently, but yesterday I couldn't bring up the scan, I get "Plugin finding Service Error", who said "try again later". I think that what I've updated most recently was Flash (I think). No matter how many times I push him "try again" or close Firefox and the Web page, I still have the error and get nowhere!

It is this page that you are trying to access - https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/

I just checked and the site load OK. Try to empty the cache and try again, it can load the cache error message. For more information, see How do I clear the cache of Firefox.

  • HP Officejet Pro 910 Cup scanned pages A4 in two?

    Hello

I use my 910 connected to Mac OS X and W7/64. In both cases, when you try to scan several pages from the magazine, scanned pages is reduced by a half. So an A4, I get two files, one half higher and half lower. The pages that I scan are bills that come folded and it seems he cut the pages to the crease. When scanning printed and folded the Bills it doesn´t cut files/scans.

I also use a 909 for the same purpose year I again had this problem on the 909?

Is there a change I can do then it does not behave like that?

    Hi hgrunewald,

Looks like the fold is originally the document of starvation long enough to make the printer think that there is a second page. I try to bend the bend in the opposite direction to reduce it and then try again. If you continue to have the problem, you need to maybe just scan the document from the glass. Let me know what you find?

  • How can I use Windows Defender to scan an individual file in Windows 7?

How can I use Windows Defender to scan an individual file in Windows 7?

To the best of my knowledge, it is not possible.

A cheap substitute, albeit rather inconvenient, is to use a personalized analysis on the folder containing the file of interest.  Go to Windows Defender-> custom scan and then select the folder in the pop up dialog box.

  • delete all pages whose name does not begin with

    Hello

can someone tell me how to write the equivalent of the applescript below in ExtendScript please.

    say application "Adobe InDesign CS6.

say active document to delete (each page whose name is not start by "SRT")

    end say

    Thank you

I think the following should do it (untested):

    var pp = app.activeDocument.pages.everyItem () .getElements (), p;

    While (p = pp.pop ()) if (p.name.substr (0.3)! == "SRT") p.remove ();

  • Automation of several scanned page PDF export to Excel

We have MANY PDF files scanned at work (about 8 400) that we need to export to Excel. There are a few tricky parts to what I'm trying to find out if there is a way to automate this. These are all individual PDF files, but I know that I could convert them all to a multipage PDF, if I need to, that shouldn't be a problem. The major problem being that we want only a small part of all files PDF, the upper left corner that has some basic information (name and address) to be exported to an Excel worksheet. The rest of the PDF file is not required. If that helps anything on the automation of formatting are simple page PDF. Anyone know if this is possible?

I asked this in the PDF forum, but someone suggested to ask in the forum of java script instead.

It can be done, most likely, but it would be a custom script to extract the text from the desired coordinates and then export it to a format that can be read using Excel (for example, a text file delimited by tabs). This is not a simple task, however.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: White scan Pages of the feeder of the Officejet Pro 8600

Trying to browse the food tray, scanner empty pages. Analysis on the flat. I tried to restart the laptop and printer also does to unplug for a minute.

    Hey @cornerstone1,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that your Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer is the digitization of the blank pages to your machine in Mac OS x 10.8. I can help you with that.

First of all, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once this is done, we will do a few things to refine the question. To do:

    1. Place a page with printed face down on the flat.
    2. Place a page with different print material face up in the ADF Document (CAD).
    3. Make a copy of the printed page.

The next steps will depend on what is printed.

If the printer made a copy of the page on the flat:

The printer does not detect anything in the charger. Try to insert a blank sheet of 8.5 "X 11" or A4 paper and see if you hear a noise or identical to "document loaded Original" message. " If you have not the printer will need to be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking on this link and fill out the form below to discuss the options based on your warranty.

If the printer did a Virgin copy:

Take a blank sheet of paper, write a 1 on one side of the sheet and number 2 on the back side. Then insert the paper in the tray and make a copy. If you still see a blank page then the printer will have to be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking on this link and fill out the form below to discuss the options based on your warranty.

If the printer made a copy of the page in the ADF:

There is a problem with the drivers scanner on your Mac. To correct this:

    1. Unplug the USB cable from the printer, if it is connected to your Mac.
    2. Click Apple, system and print and Scan preferences.
    3. Hold down the CTRL key and click on the picture of the printer on the left.
    4. Click on reset printing system.
    5. Open Applications and your Hewlett-Packard folder.
    6. Launch the HP uninstaller.
    7. Open Applications, utilities and disk utilities.
    8. Click "Macintosh HD" on the left.
    9. Click on verify disk permissions. This should take about 10 minutes.
    10. Click on repair disk permissions. This should take about 10 minutes.
    11. Restart your Mac.
    12. Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

At this point, you should be able to scan from the ADF.

Please let me know if that solves your problems by clicking on accept Solution below my post or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great week!

If you appreciate my help please click on the icon below my post thumbs up.

  • ENVY 5530: Print scanned pages is so slow!

    Hello world!

    My name is Flavio.

I just bought an inkjet Envy 5530 and I really like it so far. But what happens is when I try to print pages that have been previously analysed and have some sort of texture in white (not pure white), printing is so slow, perhaps, it prints a half inch at a time, stops for 4 or 5 seconds and then print one more inch... it takes about 3 minutes to print one page...

Is this supposed to happen with the inkjet printers?

I know that with lasers, of course it is much faster, but I didn't know that the printers ink jet could be so slow!

I think it has something to do with the White is not not totally white.

    Any help?

    Thank you!

    Hi @flaviolira123 ,

Who would certainly slow printing down. The printer would take time put in detail in print.

If it happened to other types of documents, I'd be a little worried.

Have you tried printing in draft mode?

Have you tried only shades of gray, black ink mode?

  • New add scanned pages of existing PDF document

How can we add new pages scanned to the PDF with HP Photosmart 5520?

    Hi PlaneteDigitale,

Yes, I misunderstood, my apologies. The answer to your request is not. There is no way to add pages to an existing one all ready saved PDF file. They think only I can suggest is to print existing pages and perform a new analysis all the pages together.

I know that's not ideal, but it's the only solution I can think of to get all pages in a single file.

  • How OCR (editable text scanned pages) without inclusive

When a document is OCR'd, Acrobat DC places paragraphs - or what appears to be - paragraphs in each own bounding box. This "feature" prevents me from copying multiple paragraphs or pages to paste in another application (for example, the e-mail message).  This isn't a problem in Acrobat X. screenshots below.

Is it possible to Acrobat DC to convert the page scanned in text editable without bounding boxes or remove the bounding boxes?

Acrobat cc - unable to choose beyond encompassing Acrobat X - able to select several paragraphs

In the case where someone else need the answer, it is right click on the document and select "Select tool."

  • All of the other scanned pages is negative

I just upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. After the upgrade, all other pages of documents I scan in Acrobat is negative (i.e., white on black instead of black on white). If I check the box to scan negatives, it's the same thing, but then even pages are negative rather than the odd-numbered pages. A way to solve this problem?
