Installation HP Active Support Library on dv-9700 Error1316
For months, whenever I turn on my dv 9700 laptop, HP Update tries to install HP Active Support Library. It always ends with Error 1316 and error 1603. The software will not be installed. I tried the installation when using different networks, but with the same result. Do you have a solution for this or, given that I don't need this software, is it possible to keep it from wasting my time trying to load. I would like to receive updates useful therefore to extinguish Updatel HP is not an option.
I had exactly the same problem, but have now it is resolved.

Error 1316 and 1603 when installing HP Active Support Library and Support HP
Original title: Error 1316 and 1603 questions
I am trying to install HP Active Support Library and HP support on my Vista laptop. I keep running into the same mistakes: 1316.A network error occurred trying to read from the file c:\Windows\Installer\HP Library.msi active support - I then click ok and the installation is restored, and then I get the error: 1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult windows help install (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information. I looked in my windows folder and I have no file. Can someone please tell me what to do?
Hey, Lestat,.
There is an article in the Knowledge Base by HP talking Error 1316 and 1603, during the installation of the HP software. Follow the suggestions listed in the links below and you should be good to go.
The steps described in the article above also apply to Vista.

Cannot find the Microsoft Visual FoxPro support library; prevent a program from running
Hello. I'm running a Dell Inspiron (2010, do not have the numerical values of product stored) with Windows 7 64 bit. I tried to move a prgram ovever in that I saved from a portable 03, happened very well, who also ran fine on a USB key and active through the computer its plugged. The prgram is a software of database for model called yard Office Trains, but that doesn't mean much. I had to reset factory the laptop video driver problems do not allow videos unfold and had not run yard Office before that. However, now, when I try to run post yard, it gives me the error in the title. I tried compatibility for MS03, with and without the servicepacks. None of those worked either, so I'm missing a manifest file that was on these systems. I don't know but something on FoxPro beyond that. I tried searching on Google (preferably on Bing. Sorry guys) and did not understand what said the Web site, beyond, looks like I have to buy something that I would have already.
Fat. Chance.
It's enitrely possible; e something has failed in the downloads when Dell reset me. In addition, I don't know anything else and rely on you for advice. Thanks in advance!
Hello, Morgan D,.
If the update program does not run, you could try and do a scannow to check any file system errors. If this does not help, you may need to use a virtual program for older software to run.
First of all, we run System File Checker to see if you have a corrupt file system.
Click Start
Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
Click on "Run as Administrator"
At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannowThis will check for any violation of the integrity and repair any damaged operating system files.
Reboot your system.
If this does not help, then read the following information.
If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware (www.vmware.com) Player and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.
Sincerely,
Marilyn

Realized that I should ask this question in DreamWeaver, not HTML5 group.
I just finished a site - it's huge for me, more of 100 pages, 160 + until he's through. WebAssist (SecurityAssist, Universal eMail, DataAssist) products help and a tech support guy he says I'd be using includes my nav menus, not library assets. I think he is right, there must be an easier way. Any changes to these library assets requires me to download each page.
What is meant by includes and How to easily turn my library assets included in DreamWeaver CS5.5? It is a php site and is already online!
Thank you all.
W3c site has been helpful by suggesting require() instead of include() and no shortcut. Had a problem with the path... /... / When I was trying to use the names instead of periods. I'm good to go now.
Thank you!

Motorcycle will actively support the DX2?
The Tegra 2 processor being a major problem on the LTE of VZW network, good support will be timely. I love Motorola phones, but these concerns. I'm on the fence as well as to keep his phone and continuing my allegiance to MOTORCYCLE.
I also had a few reboots and suspended notification LED without reason.

HP support Asst. app.
I have a desktop hp pav. Med. CTR. a1268c updated for win 7 to xp, I can't support hp Asst. app. install, it says it does not meet the requirements min., Please HELP if possible!
Hello weluvhp,
It seems that it is possible that since your computer initially supplied with XP that you can not install Windows 7 to the HPSA version. The error you receive error 9996, mention you do not meet the requirements because it is a system check to make sure that everything is correct on the system. He made a call and fails at some point so he thinks that you do not meet the requirements.
Based on this HP Support Assistant forum thread I think your best option is to dual-boot the system and install HSPA on the XP partition or you can try the HP help and support. It's the HPSA with fewer options.

Without internet (metered) either wired or wireless using HP Pavilion dv6-1375dx. Cables and other wireless devices work fine on a home network/router.
Found some flags on the NIC in "Device Manager" but uninstalled and reinstalled and flags went. All devices report now works without error.
Have tried to start in safe mode with network (without help).
Uninstalled the software Bitdefender Total Security 2016: malware, spyware, firewall, antivirus (without help).
Turn on the Windows Firewall WILL NOT!
Emptying the cache TCP/IP (without help).
Have tried msconfig (to eliminate any startup) and the minimal system of windows (without help).
Tried to update device drivers by downloading from another PC and copy the files (no help, even pilot).
Tried several fixes to 'Register' solutions (without help).
Scanned with several "fix connection" or adware/spyware/malware programs (without help).
Have tried all the above several times, so please do not contact me to "try again". If your idea is not new, it won't help.
I am subject to the point that I believe that the network card is bad, even if it makes good.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP BEFORE THAT THIS CELL PHONE FELL INTO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN!

I have Firefox plugins called HP Pit plugin, plugin to control HPActive and HP Product Detection for Mozilla. Can someone explain that these do and why should I keep them?
Hello
These plugins are installed to automatically detect your system so that it can look for updates or model-specific alerts.
In the HP support and drivers page, you will find an option to automatically detect your laptop.
These files is dynamically linked with HP Active Support Library which is a set of tools that customers can use to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with their computers also.
Links below should provide some details on what it does...

HP m9150f pre-installed software
I have following items proposed in "programs and features"...
Hardware Diagnostic tools (this is a piece of PC-Doctor, Inc. software I think)
HP Active Support Library
HP customer experience unavailability
Program HP Customer Participation 12.0
HP Easy Setup - Frontend
12.0 HP solutions Center
HP Total Care Advisor
HP update
Can I safely uninstall without creating problems on my computer. I prefer to make my own driver/firmware updates when / if necessary.
Thank you
H9-1350 HP / Intel i7 3770 / 12 GB
Windows 8 / HP w2207 monitor / Radeon 6870
Keurig ready for a coffee or Cup of hot teaThanks to all who responded. I uninstalled some of these elements. Two gave warnings about my C5580 AIO possibly affected if uninstalling has continued. One of these I might not link to the printer so I kept uninstalling on that one anyway. The HP Active Support Library has only a "Repair" option when I select in "Programs and features" so I left alone also. I printed several elements yesterday and a CD this morning with no problems. Now is it possible to mark this as "resolved"?

What HP programs are safe uninstall or disable on a Pavilion a6720y Vista Home Premium 64-bit
Hi, I have sought an answer to this for a while now. Some of the programs I already deleted, but some that I don't know if they run or perform another program or service. I saw little help on a specific programme and a few questions of a similar nature than mine, but none with the same programs I think to remove. So here's my list:
HP Active Support Library
HP Customer Experience Enhancements
HP demo
HP Total Care Setup
CyberLink DVD suit
Power2Go
PowerDirector
muvee reveal
By removing all these I would earn 834MB of disk space, as well as to release resources for other things. I like to keep HP Update for now, so if one of these who stop working I have to rethink that part. While these programs all have a purpose for some people, after owning this computer for 2-3 years, I find that I use very few of them and not very often. Any help will be appreciated.
In theory, you can uninstall the HP software all without affect the use of your computer. I installed a clean copy of Windows on HP computers and they work fine. These programs are just the software of convenience for many users. Even the 'HP update' work can be done without it.

HealthCheck HP does not work...
I have a HP Pavilion a6009n Desktop under Vista. I noticed that the HP HealthCheck program is acting weird and doesn't scan. I touched the "scan" button and it flashes on my screen for half a second, but he don't scan at all. I found a sort of solution on a site where it said to uninstall the Active support library and reinstall, but I can't find a link to do it. I think it's some thing comme--c:\swsetup\sp39516\setup.exe, any ideas?
Try to uninstall Active Support Library and reinstall the TI from: http://h30155.www3.hp.com/helpandsupport/
