I tried the driver update and 'repair' menus via HP scanning problems without success.  If I press scan on the printer button it says "scan error. try to scan from computer', but that's what I usually do using the calculation icon in the menu START.

  I solved the problem. The basic steps were (1) using the HP links to update my driver printer and research to find errors in the scanning program. (2) restart my computer and printer. After the first part, I didn't see any listed results. Normally I would have restarted the printer and the computer, but is afraid of losing my sites and the investigation, so I kept looking for the various comments.  I found a reference to this site in one of the post near mine for a #7520 device but cannot return immediately to give the author of the post. I think I sent him a response.

  This site gives lots of tips for different situations and devices. I followed the advice that it applied to my computer and printer who ended with step 2 (I use a USB connection) and the scanner was working again.

I tried everything to reinstall the OS W7 Starter edition try the recovery disk method or check with the manufacturer (out of Warranty warranty so no support) and without success. Now, when I tried to activate the version of Windows 7 Starter Edition that I had installed on a drive that I bought with all versions of W7 less any key, Windows does not recognize the key, I entered even if it is printed on the bottom of the laptop on the MS license that I HAVE. I have even a paid upgrade to Home Premium I tried to apply in order to activate the operating system, but it says I need to activate W7 Starter first before the upgrade.

• Bluetooth devices will not connect after a long period of absence

  It started in the last 3 months, I'm not sure of that OS upgrade specifically.  I currently have Version 10.11.3.  I have a MBP late 2011.  I use a keyboard, trackpad and bluetooth magic, bought the same time as my mac.

  Whenever I come back from a business trip (usually a day or two max), my bluetooth keyboard and trackpad will not connect.  They appear in the drop down bluetooth devices, but when I select Connect, nothing happens.  I did everything the new standard batteries, SMC/PRAM reset, nothing helps.  I then manually have to pair them up with difficulty using Set Up Bluetooth Trackpad/keyboard.  It will show "found", then say could not pair.  I have the power on the devices several times his cycle, and then hold the power button 'on' to the pair.  Usually, it takes 5-10 minutes and is terribly frustrating.  Once I get the paired, as long as my stays Mac in the same room with the devices, they pair very well.  Appreciate the advice.

  I have an iPad 2 which, all of a sudden (in the Middle streaming), is more connected to the internet.  I rest the network settings, when this does not work, I have reset all settings, stopped and rebooted, all done basically.  It shows that its connected to my WiFi, but will not connect to internet.  All the other devices in my house work, then there must be a problem with the iPad.

  Reset the router: just pull the power for a few seconds and reconnect. No parameter to get lost.  Other devices operating with success is not serious. The router has probably received an invalid address for the iPad.

  HP lj1022 printer will not connect not not via the USB port after the installation of the new driver upgrade hp lj1020/1022 for Windows 7 (64-bit).   I got this HP printer for a while and it worked fine.  Our old router is out and we had to get a new one.  Installed perfectly and printer continued to work properly.  The password for the router was ridiculous, that's why I changed it to something much more simple to remember.  Since then, my printer will not connect to wireless internet.  I have a ~ and reinstalled the printer but still have the same problem.  I thought maybe to try the former password would, but who does not work either.

  Anyone has any ideas that might help before chuck it and go and get a new one altogether?

  Easy things first.  Turn off the router and the printer.  Turn on the router and wait 3 minutes.  Turn on the printer and see if it connects to your router.  Status?

  If no joy, temporarily disable all security in the router.  Now try to connect the printer to your SSID not guaranteed without password.  Status now?

  If OK, go back and add WPA2-AES with your simple password.  Status now?

  The blue light is flashing on the printer indicates that the wireless radio is on, but the printer is not connected to a network. This is the situation. You have a new router. The printer must be on the network.

  So the next step is to get the printer on the network.

  The deskjet printers family is usually USB wireless setup.

  This causes an obstacle when you use only a Chromebook.

  Chromebook does not support the software needed to turn the printer on the network.

  My inclination would be to give the printer a static IP address that the DHCP lease can never expire and the printer will not obtain a new address accordingly.  I saw this happen on a local network.
