HP C310a: Scan no longer works

Before December 29, 2015, the HP Solution Center icon was on my desk and the scan function could be used without any problem of this app.  After application of several MS Windows 10 updates, the icon disappeared and there is no capabiliaty to scan a document.  I used the tools on HP solution center website to try to resolve the problem without success.  I also tried to use the original HP CD supplied with the printer, but it does that show the button "Exit" - no button "install".  I also tried using HP Print and Scan Doctor with no success.

    The upgrade wizard has pointed out that there is a solution "payd" but does'nt me more help.

    The functions of the printer are doing well.

    I experienced the same problem with a Canon Pixma MP600 and an iP2550 Pixma.

    I downloaded the Canon My Printer Windows 8 compatible version (mypr-victory-3_0_0 - ea11_2.exe) and it works, but no driver Windows 8 is available at this time for two printers :-)
    I will contact Canon Help Desk tomorrow and let you know what they're going to respond to me.
  • Windows 7 Fax and Scan no longer works

    Fax and scan worked until yesterday. At that time the shortcut would open the Fax/Scan window, but contacts, faxes archived, treat, etc., were not available. I tried to create a fax and it allowed me to to insert a document scanned, but not allow me to get a glimpse of the fax and I did not send it.

    I checked the modem and it's OK. After trying several things, I used 'Enable or disable functions' to turn off the fax and scanning, then restarted. Then I tried to re - turn on the function of fax and scan, but at the end of this process, there is an error message and after re-booting fax and scan is still not available.  There is no file Wfs.exe in the System32 folder, and without of listed Windows Fax and Scan program.  I also ran sfc/scannow, indicating the corrupted files that have been repaired.

    Where should I go here for turn on the Fax/Scan in Windows 7 feature?

  • HP Envy 100: Scan function no longer works on my printer

    Recently moved locations and had to re set my PC. Since then the scan function no longer works. I get the error message 'Scanner reported an error', 'Impossible to log on to the device. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers from HP, I checked the internet connections and all work. Actually had a lot of problems earlier with the printer and the scanner re wireless connections but hoped to have finally overcome these.

    Is not part of the problem, but a real complaint about what is the purpose of wireless devices when they never work as well as the peripheral ethernet connected, someone really need to get it sorted .

    Can someone help me please to get my back operational system. I surgent now as it is on paternity leave and need to get some issues administrative doen at home in the next few days.

    The problem is now fixed and the printer and the scanner work. Don't know exactly what corretced it if it took time for the steps previously mentioned to kick but I also tried to use the wi - fi protected installation set-up that exists on the printer and somewhere between all these steps, the connection between the pC and the printer has been restored.

  • HP scan program currently underway well before no longer works

    Hp scanning program used to run earlier in the OS of Windows 7 Ultimate that I use on my laptop.  After you have uninstalled the trial version of Tune Up utilities, hp scan just used program run. I reloaded the program and even tried to restore to an earlier point. Still the hp scan will not work. I also tried using the windows compatibility Manager. It identifies compatibility issues but does not bring a solution. Any help will be appreciated.

    This problem may occur if the scanner drivers are corrupt.

    Since the installation of Version 39.0, yahoo search no longer works. It does not connect. I have reset / updated Firefox. Does not help anything. Other search engines work, but not "search.yahoo.com. It works in Internet Explorer but not in Firefox. Any ideas? Thank you.

    Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
    Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
    All of these programs have free versions.

    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

    Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

    When the scan on my Dell function no longer works, I bought a HP Deskjet 3070 e-all-in-one. This allowed me to analyze for the Microsoft Works word processor for editing documents.

    I can't find this option on the HP. I lost my money?

    At this point, it seems the best thing to do would be to do a search with your preferred for the ROC "ocr software" free search engine stands for optical character recognition. OCR, is what allows to scan 'read' the words on the documents and put them into an editable document. There are both paid and free OCR software out there I suggest that you look at. FreeOCR is one of the applications that you can watch.

    Alternatively, you can upgrade to Microsoft Works suite. There are several versions of the works since then as well (Works 9.0 was released in 2008).

    My scan just stopped working and givee me a message, the printer is not connected to the computer.

    I turned off the computer and the cable and the printer turned on again but did not help.

    Instructions say click the HP and select the scanner action. But when I click on the hp icon I get only an option to install a new printer. Nothing else.

    How do I get this reconnected?

    I would like to work with you today with the resolution of the problem of scan that you encounter when you try to scan from your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer to your computer Windows 8.1. I understand that when you click on the HP printer Assistant icon you get a screen "install". This indicates that your software is here and ready to work, but your printer is no longer bound to this software. For this reason, I will guide you through the steps for reinstalling your device to fix software problems and the pilot. Please follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Uninstall the drivers:

    For the purposes of troubleshooting, it is important that we have a clean slate to work with. So, I'll you delete everything Officejet software and drivers on your computer.

    1. Open the screen, Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. When the splash screen opens, type programs and features. Click on programs and features to open it.
    3. When the programs and features opens a list of the programs installed on your computer will populate. Scroll down the list until your see HP Officejet 8600. Select the HP Officejet device and click Uninstall
    4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation of your product.

    Once the Officejet has been uninstalled successfully, please proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Remove temporary files:

    1. Open the screen, Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. When the splash screen opens, type run. Click on Run to launch the run dialogue box.
    3. In the run box, type %temp% , and then click OK
    4. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
    5. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.
    6. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    7. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

    Step 3: Reinstall the drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the latest drivers for your HP Officejet
    2. Once the site opens, please click on the download button at the top left
    3. If you are prompted, please allow the download to run
    4. Once the download is complete, please follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer.

    Once your printer is reinstalled successfully, please try scanning and printing to confirm that everything is working properly again. If your printer is unable to install because it is not 'detected' when installing, please let me know how your HP Officejet is connected to your Windows computer (USB, Ethernet cable or wireless).

    HP will provide an update to fix this problem?  If anyone has had the same problem (if so, how fixed?)?

    HP has pushed down the updates on a week earlier for my HP Pavilion Elite e9270f running Windows 7 64 bit home and domestic all-in-one Officejet J6480 which are connected wirelessly via my network.  HP Solution Center had worked for several years until then, but now can no longer connect to the J6480 with all the features.  Devices and printers in Control Panel displays the connection.  HP HPHNDU.exe utility displays the connection.  Print from works of MS Office products as ok HP Solution Center no longer works.  I can't scan documents to the PC (that it is pulled by the PC or pushed by the J6480).  I used http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02266743 instructions and the software of HP Officejet and Driver Removal Utility OJJ6400_Scrubber_13.exe to remove all aspects of the printer and the software.  Then reinstall them using (with HP printer install wizard HPPIW.exe), but the new installation also fails linking the center of solutions HP (printing still MS Office programs).  According to me, it is a plague of HP inflicted that should have a solution from HP.  FG 120201

    Try using the brush included in the CD or download.

    Of the Original installation CD:

    1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup

    2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open

    3 open the Util folder

    4 open the CCC folder

    5. run the L4uninstall.exe

    6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

    7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

    8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    Reinstall the printer using the latest drivers on the Canon USA site should get the operational scanner.

    Please click here to access the drivers and software page for the PIXMA MX922.  Once the initial download to your model page, follow these steps:

    1. check that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop is correct and if this isn't the case, please click on the drop down menu to select your operating system.

    2. then please click the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED FOR YOU" section and click on the CUPS driver file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click the box below the button DOWNLOAD, and then click DOWNLOAD to start the download. The time for the download process can vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.

    Once you have downloaded and installed the driver of CUPS on the site file, please install also all other elements of the section RECOMMENDED for YOU and the DRIVERS from the Web site.  To install the rest of the software which comes with the printer, please follow the steps above, except for step 2, you can click the red arrow next to the 'SOFTWARE' section instead of the RECOMMENDED section to locate and download the software.

    Once all items have been downloaded, please double-click on each of the items on your Mac to install.     There are extreme measures you can take.  One is either movement store the content of the message to another directory and WinMail starts it will be a clean message store (or you can simply rename the directory from the old Windows Mail message store and then create a new directory named Windows Mail which will begin to empty).  The other is to back up the registry key to Winmail (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm) and then remove it and then start WinMail and who must rebuild the registry key.  The first allows to compensate for a corrupt message store (you can use the file |) Import | Messages into the plu message store you renamed) and the second allows to compensate for a corrupted under the WinMail key registry hive.  I suspect the first manoeuvre will fix the problem, but I don't know.

    But those who are basically last stations.  I would like to save things before you do anything that anyone else.
