HP d325 desktop: No Internet

I up grade My Office XP HP d325 professional to Windows 7 Ultimate. I had internet before, but now

my computer will be unrelated to the driver for the internet.  It says that I need this package

PCI\VEN_10B7 & DEV_9201 & SUBSYS

I have no ideal of what the numbers mean. But I'd like to help.

Hello:

There is no W7 ethernet driver for the integrated 3COM 10/100 NIC

Try to manually install the XP driver and see if it works.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Internet Explorer hang ups and the desktop icons don't work

I have a 32-bit Vista, which has worked perfectly for almost 4 years until yesterday. Freeze the icons on my desktop and internet explore cannot open any other web site, after having opened the first web site. Once you close the web site, and then try another icons do not work for short cuts. The taskbar remains functional. I have to go into the Task Manager to close Explorer which rest spinning means that it cannot open. I tried a system restore to two days ago and he said there is a mistake, and he couldn't change my settings. Then I went to windows defender under programs to view current programs and I found several programs window internet explorer running even though in Task Manager, they were removed. Once I erased these stars, the icons would work, but only for the first attempt. Then I went to the Windows Defender and 2-3 lines of windows internet explorer is numbered. Why is this happening? For every time that you access internet prgrams multiple of the same are running and then hang up the entire internet and shortcuts icon freezing. Help, please.

    Thank you

Success!  All I had to do was reset internet explore windows. Fortunately, this did not clear all of my passwords or settings which I expected. The only change I noticed was the size of the screen. I had to change to fill the computer screen. I don't have to do a system restore.

Thank you and thanks for your replies to bab66.

    Hello

You don't say what operating system you are using, but it's basically the same procedure:

Click Start > programs > find the program in the list you want to make a desktop shortcut icon > right click on the name of the program he > then move your mouse cursor on ' send to ' > then select desktop (create shortcut), or words like that.

    See you soon.

PS You can also do the same thing with the programs listed on the left side of the start menu.

  • Internet works do not through router...

I used the WRT310N v2 for about two months and it worked fine.  The other day, we must have had a loss of power fast in my house because the clocks were all flashing.  I went to use my laptop and I could not go on the Internet.  I checked my office and it was closed by the power loss.  I turned on the desktop and Internet still does not work.  The only way I can get on the Web now is if I run the cable directly from the modem on my desk.  I tried to reset the router and restart everything and I can not access the Web when I have the cable from the modem to the router on my desktop.  I'm not the most technical person, but it makes no sense to me.  Any ideas how can I fix?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I didn't have to go as far as looking at the IP address.  When I connected the modem to the router, then the router to the PC and reset for 30 seconds, it worked.  I did this last Friday and Saturday and nothing, don't know why it worked, but it did!

Thank you very much for your help!

  • Cannot access the internet through a wifi router

Hi, I recently bought a method 3 G USB wifi router. I connected physically on my desktop and internet wifi works very well. However I have problems to get access to the internet using my laptop Vista. The laptop is a connection for the wireless network connection, but that's what I get. Any ideas what is the problem?

On my system, I connect them BOTH to the wireless network connection AND Internet (there are separate connections for each installation) on my laptop wireless.  If I don't connect to the Internet, I'm just locally connected to the wireless network.  If I am not connect to the wireless connection, I can't connect to the Internet.  I know not how your needs to be installed, but that is probably the problem.  You may add an internet connection for your laptop, and then connect both to achieve a good connection.

    I hope this helps.

Has anyone else had this problem or could suggest a solution please?

    Hi SueDavison,

I understand that when you make a video call via Skype, the internet disconnects.

I suggest you refer to the suggestions of Tamim from the following link.

  • Re-pin Internet explorer in the taskbar of office

So, I accidentally this Internet Explorer default marking from the taskbar in Windows 8 desktop.  To try to solve this problem, I have created a new shortcut on my desktop for Internet Explorer and then that pinned to the taskbar, but it behaves differently.  Before all instances of Internet Explorer appears on the taskbar under the original Internet Explorer icon.  Now when I run my new pinned shortcut IE, it generates a second icon of IE on the task bar and each additional launch IE after which translates into a small tab which is drawn on the right edge of the new icon of IE.  Anyone know how to restore the Internet Explorer task pinned original shortened to the bar that installed with Windows 8.

    Thank you

    Bob
