HP DC5850 series: upgrade of the computer

I recently bought a used computer from a friend. I have a HP Compaq DC5850 series. The CPU clock speed is 2300 MHz - Single Core. I need to know if I can do an update on this computer to a Pentium 4 CPU or level where clock speed of 3.0 GHz. The name of the CPU processor is AMD Sempron (tm) Processor LE1300.  If so can you send me a recommendation on what to buy?

Thank you;

Nikki

Thank you for the additional information.

Here is the 'illustrated with parts and Service card' to the computer.  On P.2, there is a list of processors that can be used with the motherboard.  The CPU you mentioned is not on the list.  Those on the list have been tested to ensure that they work properly.

I have been change in first CS 5.5 and have always enjoyed a generally transparent experience, but since the change of camera from Canon to Nikon systems, I can't play back more than 2 layers of Nikon without playback stutter. I could easily stack 3 or more layers of Canon without issue.all

  • How to upgrade to Windows 7 and the computer freezes when I go to print

original title: several questions in fact

    I have 2 questions

    (1) my son bought a Sony NS Series Notebook for me. It came with a promise that I could upgrade to Windows 7. He tried to update several times and it didn't work. I know little about computers and so I accepted his answer that the Vista operating system is also good. Now I feel all sorts of problems and I told me time and again that it would be better to have windows 7. Any who tried to get the manufacturer to update after the date specified in them?

    (2) my son helped connect me to 2 different printers depending on what I need to print. Now, the computer crashes when I go to print. Any advice?

    Thank you in advance.
    Krystyna

    (1) depending on your laptop model and the day when you pruchase, you might be able to take advantage of Windows 7 update, for more information I suggest the Sony site for Windows 7 upgrade:

    http://eSupport.Sony.com/us/Perl/os7upgrade.pl

Or you can contact the Sony customer for more details

    (2) for printer, the issue can be due to configuration or other reasons, I suggest to update your Windows and make sure printer drivers installed and also try to run:

  • Cannot move photos to the computer after the upgrade to iOS10

Yesterday my iPhone updated to iOS 10 and now when I plug my phone into my PC (HP m6w103-dx / Windows 10 / iTunes 12.5.1.21) the computer will ba - beep once iTunes sync, charge the phone but I no longer have access to the photos via Windows Explorer folder.  The phone does not appear in Windows Explorer and I don't get the second ba - beep that normally, I had before the upgrade.

I restarted the phone and the computer, then tried again with no luck.  I myself have sent pictures that were on my phone, deleted all of them film, then took some new pictures and tried again.  Still no luck.  Help!

Your post is the 4th now ask about the same problem. One user solves the problem by connecting the phone to a different USB port on the computer. You might want to try it.

  • After the upgrade to 3.6 my FlashDrive falls down while I'm playing Farmville. I tried to update the flash player. I tried to restart the computer. Nothing works.

Last night, my system was still using Firefox 3.5.8. I played Farmville on Facebook and everything worked well. This morning, I connect to my computer and find that I upgraded to Firefox 3.6. I tried to play Farmville all morning and Adobe Flash Player continues to break. I tried to update Flash Player. I tried to restart the computer. Nothing works.

    URL of affected sites

    http://Facebook.com

Another potential cause of this problem is that the lock timeout is set too low:

    1. Select the address bar of Firefox (click or press CTRL + L)
    2. Type of topic: config and press enter
    3. Click on I'll be careful, I promise!
    4. in the filter box, type dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs
    5. Double-click the setting and change the number.

The default number is 10, for a default timeout of 10 seconds. Some games Flash can be slow and requires a higher setting. I would recommend to change that to 20 if you have problems with this.

In addition, it would really help if people who encounter this problem let us know what games Flash is slow - and as soon as they are slow. Thank you!

  • Desktop HP Pavilion 500-342nem: can I upgrade my desktop computer hp pavilion 500 with the graphics card AMD RX 480 replacing edge R7

I plan to upgrade my hp pavilion 500-342nem, who was already A7 graphical 240 with the new 480 RX.

Is it possible to upgrade both the power supply and graphics card?

There will be no problem of compatibility (PSU Corsair CX 500 questioned?.)

I heard a lot of chatter on hp restricting the upgrade of their pc.

    The new card will work?

    Any help will be apppreciated.

    @Jeffrin98, welcome to the forum.

I cannot find the specs of the product to the computer.  So, here's what you need to do.  Press Start + R from the view of the office.  This will open a run dialog box.  In the box labeled type msinfo32 opened.  In the page that opens, check the option titled Mode BIOS.  If he says UEFI motherboard is supported by the video card.  If this isn't the case, you will not be able to move forward.

The next step is to measure the space where the card will be installed to ensure that it fits.  Measure from the back i/o port to the front of the case.  This will allow you to see if other ingredients will limit the installation.

The CX500 Corsair power supply (PSU) should work.  However, check how much power requires the video card.  It may be better to buy a PSU with 600W.  High power will be used during peak power needs.  In addition, the card may require additional power connectors.  Also, I recommend a modular power supply.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary, create better air circulation.  It is very important with more powerful graphics cards.  The heat can be much larger.

I have two questions about my computer hp laptop 15-r030wm.

First of all, I want to upgrade my RAM, but you need to know if I should get Gs 8 or 12.

Second, the specifications say there is one location of the user, but I can't find anything on how to open the computer!  There is no door panel or obvious access anywhere.

The L stands for low voltage.

You need memory for laptop with a voltage of 1.35, not 1.5.

The memory that your son identified will not work.  From what I could find the voltage specs are 1, 5V.

You need memory who said DDR3L, not of DDR3.

    I would go with it.

After 9 latest updates download and installtion was going well until I rebooted the computer and go to page window showing all the icons that I get a blue screen and the computer restarts its self and does not stop. How can this be corrected?

    Hi KevinRy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    Unplug all external devices.

Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.

Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:

    1.

Right-click my computerand then click Properties.

    2.

    Click the Advanced tab.

    3.

Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.

    4.

Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.

    5.

Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.

Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.

    Kind regards
