HP Designjet T520 color prints have strips

The plot of a file prn in an Autodesk product: Revit using HP paper, the color of drawing a 1 4 "strips that lighten a dark color. The stripes running lengthwise through the drawing, in parallel with the wide edge of 36 "of a conspiracy of 24 x 36. If the size of the plot is changed, the bands remain 1 1 4 "wide. Spare bands natural color for 1 1/4 ", then a band that clears up the same color, then color.  No banding occurs on the black and white prints

It's a problem of correspondence of GIS of paper Type. When a roll of HP Designjet Bright white 24lb paper is used, the type of paper bearing the same name is selected, then the file printed correctly, no strip of color - Revit and Bluebeam.

If the paper type does not match the paper roll in the HP T520, print quality has visible lines. On the touch screen of the printer, press 'Roll', touch "document Type", "More" touch, touch "Bond and covered with paper" or read the HP manual, page 107

  • DesignJet T520 36in: DesignJet T520 36in printing problem

I have a banner that I created in Adobe InDesign CS6.  File is 12.2 MB.  The file was created 36 "x 70".  When I try to print in our T520 it will print only a small part of the left area of the bottom of the picture.

I tried printing from, PS, ID, Preview, Acrobat, ArcGIS... all with the same result.  and using PDF, JPG, etc.

    I also tried the 34 x 68 thus configuration.

It seems that if I select E papersize and tailored size, it begins to print across the width of the banner.  I would not waste the ink to see if it does not print the entire banner.

So, best I can tell, something goes wrong, after that I will more than 44 inches in length on the banner.

Any thoughts on how to get the full banner to print?  Thank you!

Really not an expert in this area but what happens if you reverse your size settings.  Instead of 36 X 70 have it size 70 X 36 as the printer maybe is the thought that the 70 is the width it cannot the printer.

  • Designjet T520 printing with ink cartridge empty

can a t520 print (black) even if a color cartridge is empty or the printer stops all functions until the replacement of the cartridge?

We intend to replace a hp not by a T520 tracer (go maybe later us to the 2500 series) and especially question is a "decision point" for "buy or not.

  • Designjet T520: Designjet T520: failure of the printer

Had Designjet T520 about 18 months. Use it only for printing large format on roll paper. Error message: the printer failed. "There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If the problem persists, contact HP. »

Have made the procedure "on - off" several times including disconnect, allowing the printer to sit idle and then plug it in, turn on and still the same problem. I also removed and checked each ink cartridge and cannot detect all problems.

Remove all the ink cartridges and turn on the plotter.  When he asks the ink, put them in one at a time and see if the error is displayed when only one of the ink cartridges installed.

  • Designjet t520 36inch spit long paper instead of print

Product is HP Designjet T520 36 "tracer. 36 "roll paper installed.  Printing from Adobe Acrobat, maps of large size, print to 35 "x 60". Sending of print on the drawing board causes the plotter spit a large white paper instead of print. Do you receive an error message.

Help ~ it's wasting a whole roll of paper! There is no way to cancel or suspend the plotter when it feeds large blank sheets instead of print.

We tried different settings. Updated the firmware today. Very frustrated ~ can someone help please?

I solved my problem by determining there was something wrong with this particular PDF. As another PDF of the same size and similar content files have been feeling very well, I'm focused on PDF export process.

This 'problem' PDF was created in ArcGIS. To resolve this problem, I have re-exported a new PDF, using graphics tablets vector (deflation LZW) and rasterize all symbols;  the new PDF print very well.

ALSO, for anyone who uses Pipelogix with ArcGIS, make sure that your toolbar does not work properly. If you get the toolbar alerts, remove the toolbar and start a new session, before exporting a PDF file. This may sometimes cause the problem I mentioned above.

  • Why my PRO - 100 black-and-white prints have a color tint?

I print out on the printer PIXMA Pro-100 and sometimes, for no apparent reason (?), my black and white prints have a color tint (generally a "reddish brown"), then when printing to new... same settings print, same... the same impression will be fine, neutral with no tint at all.

    No idea why?

Also (perhaps related?) I do not understand why Photo-Cyan and Magenta cartridges are exhausted when I'm NOT print color, but only black and white.  Am I missing something?  When you set up for printing, I always make sure that the 'Black and white photography' feature is selected in settings dialog "Quick Installation".  This ensures not only the black and gray inks are used as long as I'm not "toning"?  In other words... ONLY black and gray inks are used, if not the impression that is supposed to be a black and white printing neutral? Yet once... I missed something?

    FOR INFO:

I print on Canon Pro radiance papers and more glossy.

Under 'Options - color management', I selected:

(color management) Photoshop Elements handles colors

    (image area) Adobe RGB (1998)

(the printer profile) Canon PRO-100 1/2 Luster Photo Paper Pro

    (rendering mode) Perceptual

The most important thing is the paper you choose to print on.  Find this first release. Any Epson printer which uses UltraChrome K3 inks will do a better job with B & W as a Pro-(anything).  But Epson suffers from obstruction more far do, Canon Pro-100 problems.

If you print a lot is not too big of a problem, but if you print once a week or once a month to forget it.  Go with Canon that clogged very rarely, if ever.

Try to find the right paper.  It will make everything better.  Call the Red River or Canson and ask them to recommend a book.  Red River will work with you and they know the Pro - 100 inside and outside.

  • I'm trying to print using my own profile and no color management.   I have found a lead to the Adobe Color Print Utility but reached a point where he declared that she would not work with future versions of the Mac operating system.   I have Mac OS 10,11,

I have been printing PSD images with my own profiles and color management using an Epson R2880.

I've now changed to a Mac with OO 10.11.3 and unable to replace the color management.   I found a lead on the Adobe Color printer utility but failed and got a message saying that the utility has only worked with an earlier version of the OS 10.   Is there a way to turn this problem?

    GHK

You don't want or need to use the old setting 'No Color Management'. Is no longer the right way to print with a custom printer profile, in the current versions of Photoshop and OS X.

To use a custom profile to print, use the attached picture settings:

    • In the print dialog box, set the Photoshop color management menu manages colors.
    • Select your profile to the printer in the printer profile menu.
    • In the settings of printer driver Epson (under Printer Setup button) make sure that the Epson printer driver is set to the color - off management.

I don't know why Adobe Color Printer Utility works in 10.11.3, because I can throw on OS X 10.10 and 10.11. But in the end, it doesn't matter, because you don't want to use it for this purpose Adobe Color Printer Utility is only to print a profiling target, no images. And it won't let you print using your custom printer profile, because the whole point of the utility is to print with no discoloration whatsoever.

  • Photos color printing has suddenly deteriorated - why?

Print 16 ~ 4 x 6 color prints of Photos last night without problem. Now, it can reach very degraded prints, with what appears to be excessive black ink, with wetlands where black is color. Color prints copies and text n & B without difficulty. Have Photos 1.5 (370.42.0); El Capitan 10.11.5. For Canon MX 920 series printer - over 1 year and no previous problem. Would appreciate any suggestions. Print with the same settings as before, but with significantly different results. Copies color looks OK, seems unlikely to be the problem of the printer?

Try to print a photo from outside the library with preview.  Because both applications use the same components of printing system that we will tell if the problem is with Photos or is the system wide.
