  I understand that you have a Deskjet 2512 which is not able to open the Printer Wizard, it opens to text pages. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'll certainly do my best to help you!

  From what you described, it seems that your printer wizard opens to a page of the Notepad. I suggest you follow this document Opens Assistant HP printer with an error in Script or in Notepad to get the problem resolved.

  Thanks for getting back to me.

  I was looking at the specifications of the printer HP DeskJet GT 5820 User Guide and it doesn't list legal document as a support for a type of paper supported, but if it has legal papers for a paper Type in the menu drop down, it should be able to print.

  I download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor to check the printer software. This tool can diagnose and solve many problems of printing software and printer.

• DeskJet 612 c does not print all of a sudden

  Printer is used almost every day without any problem.  Now, when a document is sent (still a test page), the printer prepares and takes hold of the first sheet of paper, the transport of the cartridge moves all the way to the left and then it just hangs.  The abstract/paper LED button flashes.  Have clear tail print the document.  The only way to clear the flashing light is to turn the printer power off, then on again, maybe twice, for the return shipping and once more light to pass through.

  Similar to that, by lifting the lid of the printer, carriage moves to the Center as usual, the blinker lights up, but just close the lid does not send the return transport.  Crashes in a similar way, have to deactivate etc even once.  The cartridges are sitting very well, paper and the plateau on top are in place correctly.  I unplugged unit, watched inside the pieces of paper or anything which could be signaling a paper jam, but nothing.  Can you help me?  It has been a great printer so far.

  Doesn't seem to be a software problem.  It works on the computer Windows 7 emachines, running under AOL for years very well especially a parent, but my unbound print labels with a laptop computer.

  The solitons does not solve the problem. Replace old cable style printer with a USB port, is gone with a gun for the price on a HP and cartridges are cheap as well.

  Hello. I am using Windows XP SP3, Firefox running. My printer does not print anything except the diagnostics page and the self-test. I deleted the printer and reloaded the software from the CD provided by HP. The printers and Faxes folder show the printer as loan. I restarted the PC, nothing helps. I hope someone can advise me.   I think you need a printer, not a witch of the Printer Wizard.

  What happens when you try to print?  Paper through the printer? He worked previously but does not now?  The ink cartridges are blocked?

  If you go to the Windows Control Panel, then select printer properties and then click View devices and printers and then right-click on your printout, you can print a test page by clicking the button print a Page of text?

  I use a deskjet 1010 with magnetic ink to print checks.  For some reason, it is only printing in very light gray.  I cleaned the print head, which did not work.   I then reinstalled the printer still does not work.  Help, please!  Thank you.

  I'll upgrade to Windows 10, just check to see if my Deskjet 1010 will go with me. It currently works on Windows 7. The 1010 Deskjet is perfect for the little printing I do, I don't want to change printers if I have to.

  As mentioned here : most applications and designed for Windows 7, hardware drivers or later should work with Windows 10

  Windows 10 is not yet officially released. Unless it is officially released drivers, no official support is present. For now, no official guarantee cannot be provided. However, I am sure that it will work properly. 10 Windows should recognize automatically.

• DeskJet 1010: Printing envelopes

  This is a new printer. I have no impression of problem on the leaves, but the envelopes are a nightmare. I load one or more envelopes as indicated in the Guide, but when I try to print one, either (1) an envelope does not move and I get a message will. (2) a charge to Midway without printing and I get a paper jam message; (3) one prints but with no border and that half of the address of the sender on the envelope; or, finally, (4) it prints correctly, which seems to suggest that the loading is the problem.

  I start with the left guide completely to the left. I have a few envelopes of size of the company (9-1/2 x 4) on the right of charge and their seat to the bottom. I slide the left guide until it comes into contact with the envelopes.

  Print from Lotus Word Pro, which automatically sets the envelope printing settings; not this previous problem with my printer (Epson).

  Welcome to the HP Forums.

  I see that you have problems when you try to print on envelopes.

  Please click on the following link which explains printing and changing settings of printing (Windows).

  Once you have selected the envelope size, a suggestion that I should avoid paper jams is to get the tabs inside the envelope.  This step is a bit of your time if you make multiple prints, but it will save paper jams occur.

  I also suggest that you remove any paper from the printer when printing envelopes.

  If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say contact HP technical support to see all the other possibilities for you. ,: click here.

• HP Deskjet 3055 A does not connect to the WIFI with security

  I'm trying to configure a Deskjet 3055 A on my DD - WRT router.  I am a highly qualified network engineer, so I don't know 100% what I'm doing.

  First, DD - WRT supports WPS connection, because these are very precarious.  This means that my only way to connect the pritner to my home network is to connect to my PC and use the Setup utility (downloaded from your page drivers) I use the 28.8 version.

  My router supports the 2.4 and 5 GHz and I know the printer is only 2.4 GHz.  I disabled completely the 5 GHz network in order to connect the printer, even though it shouldn't have any effect.

  I restarted my router and reset the printers wireless network using its integrated control panel.

  In any case, after a shameful 2 hours troubleshooting, I did discover that the printer WILL NOT CONNECT to the WIFI network if any security is applied against it.  It works 100% fine with open security however, it is totally unacceptable.

  I tried both WPA Personal and WPA2 Personal, both with the same effect.

  For reasons to try, I added also the printer to my network WIFI open and tried to manually change the setting WIFI via webinterface of printers, however, whenever I try and access the wireless configuration wizard, I simply get an error message saying "Internal system error" - eventually I managed to work around this another bug that has been there for years (see http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Networking-and-Wireless/Internal-System-Error-prevents-access-t...

  After installing printers web interface WIFI, the problem is always the same and it does not connect.

  HP, we were in the order of 2500 of these printers for users of our remote site.  If you don't come to the top with a quick solution/bug fixed, consider the lost business!

  After playing well, I managed to find a solution for this!

  For all users who are unable to find a solution by using the other methods, here's what to do.

  Change your local network to open the safe but note your WIFI settings for your default installation.

  Connect the printer to the open network the HP software (via USB cable)

  Go to the URL of the printer, but make sure that you connect through HTTPS - if you get an internal system error, keep refreshing until it works (WHAT A JOKE!)

  Click on 'Network', then click 'Advanced' on the left.

  Enter the network settings as they need to be secured.

  Downstairs, check "in an infrastructure network, use 802. 11b / g behavior (assuming that your assisted supports g, otherwise use the b only option), then click on apply.

  Turn on your wireless security, on your router and then the printer should connect!

  I am really confused as to why this is not automatically enabled, if the printer is not working with security on a Wireless N network wireless, then have this as the default!

  The scanner does excellent analysis of images. The options that he has had were paint, printer, E-mail, Photoimpression 4, HP Photosmart Essential 2.01, copy to the Clipboard, Wordpad and save to file. I tried to copy to the Clipboard, Wordpad and save a file without success.

  I have now acquired Readiris Pro 11 and that solved the problem. I can now deal with OCR on a text image scanned with the results that I want... to editable text.

  Thanks for trying. I don't know what was wrong with the original OEM software, but the problem is now resolved.
