HP Deskjet 1511 all-in-one: paper size custom unsupported: 1511 HP all-in-one

HELPPPP!

The problem...

Personalized my paper size: 10.7 x 13.9 cm (close to 4 x 6, but it is not). I need to create the MS Word template so I can print on these fill-in guest: http://paperprovision.com/product/champagne-hors-doeuvres-invite-set/

Here is what happened:

  1. I already configure the custom size according to Assembly HP - for Mac instructions (from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03890386) see my screenshot below.

2. I did everything up to step 5 (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03890386), BUT THEN I discovered my custom paper size No IS NOT SHOW ON THE DESTINATION TRAY? (see photo below). WHY IS IT?

The strange thing is... it DOESNT SHOW UP in the paper handling, but it appears on Page Setup > paper size (see below for reference). Or is it not the same?

in any case, I tried to ignore this misshap and print anyway. Then there is... pop up custom paper size projection, not supported in selected status bar. I don't understand...

Why my custom size not shown in the list of paper handling? How to present it?

All HELP... Thank you!!!

Hi @cfransisca,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Do you get errors when you check and repair disk permissions?

If so, I'll keep repair disk permissions until it corrects all errors.

Apple updates are up-to-date?

Step 3: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

  1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
  2. Go to the Utilities folder
  3. Open disk utility
  4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
  5. Select verify disk permissions
  6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

You use an external HARD drive?

I would have suggested to search through these discussions for a possible solution. Please use your own discretion. Otherwise, I suggest you contact Apple.

My product is the 3520. Operating system is Windows Vista.

I searched these forums on these terms: 3520 paper sizes custom

It seems that the solution is to try a different print driver. I followed the link to this solution, which directs me to click the Start button, click Printers, and then properties and then on the Advanced tab where I'm supposed to select 'new pilot.'

But, the Advanced Settings tab is completely grayed out - nothing ' cept a ghostly version of what is there for other people (I guess).

  • M651dn: with manual duplex printing only the paper size custom

    Hello

I have a strange problem with several HP printers in my office (cp4525dn, 401dne, M651dn).

Automatic duplex printing works as usual if I use plain paper A4 format.

But when I use a custom paper size (21 x 21 cm), then the 'duplex manual' appears on the screen with the information I need to deliver the document again.

It's strange. -That someone has an idea if this could be a bug or it's 'normal '. But automatic duplex should work too much here, I think. What you mean?

It makes no difference if or USB-connected to the local network. I also tried different drivers, without success.

    Thank you very much

    Daniel

According to the manual the User Guide Laserjet Pro 400 M401 , automatic duplex printing is not supported for custom paper sizes.

It goes the same for my printer LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M475dn .

I guess the same applies also to CP4525dn and M651dn models.

  • DeskJet 1512: Deskjet1512 HP A5 paper size

I bought today an all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 1512. This model being chosen on the 1510 as 1512 Spec claims that it prints paper A5 size, yet A5 is not in the list of size of paper under Printer setup / advanced options.

Does or does not print A5 as advertised?

talked with HP this morning and now loaded drivers for the 3520 that solved the problem.

  • Odd paper size does not print on B8550

    Hi all

I have seen this issue before, but the answers don't seem to work for me, so let's try again:

I'm on a Power PC Mac dual G5, OS 10.5.8, connected to a Photosmart B8550 via USB. I'm in Photoshop CS4, I'm trying to print on a paper 12 x 15 for which I have a paper size custom, implemented and registered. I try to print to the paper size, and I get a message that says: paper size or type does not match the paper size and type in the in tray.

The really weird thing is, it worked a few minutes ago, and I do exactly the same thing now. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

    Thank you

    Peg

No, thanks to HP, I found the solution. The paper type must be HP Advanced Photo paper, and I can print what I want, to any size I want, no matter what program I want.

Hey, HP, do you think you could indicate this to your support the so-called people?

  • All-in-one HP Officejet 6500 has: paper size or the type of error message problem

    I have a HP Officejet 6500 all-in-one a and am running Win 7 on a desktop computer.
I get a paper mismatch (type and paper size is incorrect) error message.
The printer is not connected to the internet, but it is connected by a USB cable to the computer.
I look at the instructions to make an internet connection and they were just too complicated. So I download the update of the firmware and ran to the computer. He would not go beyond the area of printer selection where no printers were found. Clicking Refresh has not helped.
This update of the firmware seems to have solved the problem for some users, but I need to know how you install it.
    Thanks for your help.

    17/03/2015 #2

I think I solved the problem. I went to the website to download drivers, etc., and, rather than to specify the printer, I clicked the button to let HP identify it. It came with the correct name (see post) preceding. Then, I downloaded and installed the full feature software and driver. The first attempt to print from Excel led to the mistake of page size, but, on a whim, I tried twice and had two successful prints without error. Until further notice, I mark this as solved problem.

    Thanks for your help,

  • DeskJet f335 all-in-one: deskjet f335 all-in-one, says no paper but prints a sheet of test without problem

DeskJet f335 all-in-one does not recognize that there is paper in it.  Prints a page of test very well.  Will not print a document.

So far, I disconnected and detached, has released the ink cartridges, expected 5 minutes, then restarted the computer, plugged into the printer and attached the usb between the 2.

The message on the screen of the computer has changed to "error: no more paper" to "on paper."  Otherwise, no change.

Any suggestions?  I think there is a secret combination of buttons to push, which will operate - as pressing undo while pressing the color printing prints a self-test.  Anyone know the secret?

    Hello @eac510!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I see that your computer displays the printer's paper when you print a document.  You also mentioned that the printer is successful when you make a report self-test.  If the printer is able to print a self-test report then the material works correctly and you are probably looking to a software problem.  Unfortunately there is no combination of buttons on the printer to solve this problem.

The first thing I recommend is to uninstall the HP software. Once the uninstall is complete, it would be wise to perform a cleanup of the computer disk. A disk cleanup will improve the performance of the computer and remove the temporary files that may cause problems during the installation of the software. Once disk cleanup you must restart the computer and reinstall the HP software.

To uninstall the HP software, click here: uninstall the HP software

To perform a disk cleanup, click here: perform a disk cleanup

To download the HP software, click here: HP Deskjet full feature software and drivers

Please post back and let me know if this worked for you.

  • HP Photosmart Plus e-All-in-One B210 series: addition of a 6 x 6 custom paper size

Help!  I would like to print on a sheet of paper of 6 x 6.

Please tell me how I can get the printer to recognize that it is a normal piece of paper - I have to add as a custom for the printer driver size?  How do I do that?  I tried many things and I am yet to come errors.

    Hello linnylin22,

Yes, you will need to add it as a custom size.  To do this, you need to install a different driver.  Please, take a look at this post for instructions on how to do this, depending on your operating system.  Deskjet 450 driver should allow you to change the paper size and the size of the document to 6 x 6.

Please let me know if this helps solve your problem.

    Good luck!

  • HP Officejet 7610 Wide Format e-all-in-one does not copy settings B4 paper size option.

I want to copy documents B4, but there only automatic, A4, 4 x 6, 5 x 7 inch, 8 x 10 inch, ledger and A3 paper size. How can I configure to B4 or another paper size? or it will automatically select the paper size according to the documents when I choose the automatic paper size?

So far there is no attempt to HP to fix this, not even an update for any improvement. However, I have something to activate the copy B4. I notice that the printer has check the size of the paper by detecting the right edge of the paper. So, the trick is:
1 adjusts the A3 size paper tray
    2. the B4 paper near the right side of the status bar of the places
3 place some items including the flat surface to the left space to control the paper jam avoiding paper movement.

    Hi all!

I currently have problems printing to a custom on my Deskjet 4620 size document.  In my country, the legal size is measured in 8.5 "x 13".  Unfortunately my printer does not support custom paper size print.

I tried you are looking for a room and speak to an agent of technical support, but the closer, I went to a solution uses a 6980 driver - who has done print legal paper with the correct margins, BUT screwed up the colors (ie. in Photoshop and MS PPT, it prints images colored B & W ones).

Right click on the printer in the Printers folder and select Printing Preferences. Set the size of the page to legal... 8.5x13 is a standard size for legal. It should not need to set a custom size

Some 'examples' of my requiered "make your own Christmas and birthday card ' in size: 10 x 7 inches, or: 255 x 178"

    Size = 6 book printing 1/8 inch x 8 7/8 inch = 216 x 156mm

There are to many other 'create your own' card sizes.

Question: How do you define your own size requierments?

    Hey @driverman,

I understand that since the relocation of your Windows operating system 8 you are no longer able to modify your e-all-in-one printer driver HP Deskjet 3520 to allow custom prints. I want to help you with this today. It is strange that the Deskjet 9800 is not in the list of drivers, because it is a pre-installed driver built into your Windows operating system. That being said, I'll make you try another replacement driver.

    1. Open the screen to Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen, or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard to the left of the 'Ctrl' key
    2. In the start screen, type "devices and printers".
    3. If the option devices and printers fill automatically, click settings at the top right and click then on devices and printers.
    4. In the devices and printers folder right click on your Deskjet 3520 and left click on printer properties
    5. Left click on the Advanced tab
    6. Left-click on new driver
    7. When the new driver window just press 'Next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.
    8. Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
    9. DeskJet 6980 select the printer on the right. If Deskjet 6980 does not appear select "Windows Update" on the lower left. Once the update is completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 6980.
    10. After selecting Deskjet 6980 hit Next to complete the wizard driver new
    11. Under the printer properties window, select "Apply", but don't hit not OK
    12. Select the general tab
    13. Rename your HP Deskjet 3520 printer
    14. Click OK
    15. Finally, right click on your Deskjet 3520 one more time and click on Printing Preferences
    16. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    17. Left click on the drop down menu of 'Normal' for the quality of printing on the bottom right and change its normal fast
    18. Press apply and OK

Now that the other driver has been loaded successfully please test print in order to confirm if the problem is resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. You can also click thethumbs up' ' icon below to say "thanks for the help!" I look forward to hear from you!

  • DeskJet 2050 all-in-One - J510: how to print without borders?

I try to print my project on paper to A4 borderless, but it seems that no matter how to change settings, the results still had a border. Can someone give me some advice on how I could solve this problem?

I print on Word, and my printer is HP Deskjet 2050 all-in-One - J510a.

    Hello.

The deskjet 2050 printer does not support printing without margins, as you will find by notebook loads below:

    Without borders: No.

    http://h20195.www2.HP.com/v2/GetPDF.aspx/4AA1-1465EEE.PDF

This material allows to print only to a certain margin.

The lower border is 0.57 ", the top border is 0.06 'and the left and right borders are 0.125. any impression beyond these margins is cut off due to the limitations of harware.

  • Print on both sides, Deskjet 2050 all-in-One J510a

    Hello

I have a Deskjet 2050 All - in - One J510a and I just realized that I can't manually print on both sides simply because this function does not exist on the print menu in the Properties window.

So, how can I print on both sides?

    Thank you

    Gil

So I guess I should be a REP from HP because these guys are not answering the question? If you go under Printer Properties Advanced there is an option to print only the even or odd, pages print the odd pages first and then put the paper in the printer, go to print click on main pages and bam there you go.
