HP Deskjet 2054A - no available maintenance task

Windows 7 Ultimate - 32 bit

When l open the HP Control Panel, only 4 available options-

HP printer Assistant (which does nothing)

See what's printing

Setting preferences

Customize your printer

I saw another post about the deletion of the XMLCache folder, but it does not work!

Even deleted everything and reinstalled from the Setup disk - nothing!

How do l enter maintenance tasks then?

I am hated for wasting money by installing another cartridge if I cannot even make a clean nozzle printing or alignment!

Hell, would get today every day problems!

Any bright ideas?

Hello

Uninstall the current HP software to record printer start menu that your software is outdated and a newer version available.

After download and install the latest version of the software below and you should get all the features in the HP printer Assistant:

  • NetExtender error must perform maintenance tasks.  Does not work after giving permission to do so.  Just upgraded to El Capitan.

    I just upgraded to El Capitan.  I get the error message after following the notation in NetExtender: "NetExtender error must perform maintenance tasks.  You will need to enter your MAC administrator password in the next window. "After you type that in, it says it connects to NetExtender but then disconnects me.  This goes on and on.

    Having never heard of before NetExtender, I can't go on how you described in your post, and I must say, Macs need not third-party programs of 'maintenance' on them.  One thing I can say, is that before you upgrade your operating system, you should always make sure that all your applications, plug-ins, drivers, extensions, etc., are compatible with what you have upgraded to.  This could be part of the problem, this program should not be what I think it looks like.  You are running the most recent version, and the version is compatible with El Capitan?

  • Maintenance task

    Hi all, I had an interview two days ago but I couldn't solve it correctly, and I want you help me solve the part I couldnot solve.

    There are two tables:

    1 - master table for rooms with these data for example:

    room_no

    1

    2

    3

    ----------------

    and a detail, one for the booking details:

    res_no room_no

    1 1 20-dec-2012

    2 1 21-dec-2012

    3 2 15-dec-2012

    4 2 7-dec-2012

    -------------------------------------------------------

    the shape is a text element in the middle of the canvas has the month "dec."

    and below, there is a block, that block is a non-database block in which I should get part numbers in the first text element that is 'possible' for example,

    and a "31" for the days box, these boxes are not two database items, they are in the same block.

    the task said that I have to recover the rooms reserved in the first text item and check the boxes for the days that the room is reserved.

    for example,.

    Number 1 in the table in the room is reserved in days 20 and 21

    Number 2-the room is reserved in the days 15 and 7

    so I could retrieve the numbers of rooms and check the check-box (20) and (21) number 1, the room

    and check the box (15) and (7) room number 2.

    How to do?

    first problem, I can't name the squares with numbers, so I their alphanumeric name, like dy01, dy02 and so on.

    If you can support me with a solution, please?

    Thanks in advance

    There are several solutions, others using a DB block and something like STRAGG or LISTAGG (which I prefer) and some with a non-db block. As you asked non-db-block, here is an example of code (not tested)

    DECLARE
      CURSOR crReservations IS
        SELECT ROOM_NO,
               TO_CHAR(RESERVATION_DATE, 'DD') DAY_OF_DATE
          FROM RESERVATIONS
         ORDER BY ROOM_NO, RESERVATION_DATE;
      nLastRoom NUMBER;
    BEGIN
      GO_BLOCK('RESERVATIONS');
      CLEAR_BLOCK(NO_VALIDATE);
      FOR rec IN crReservations LOOP
        IF nLastRoom IS NOT NULL THEN
          IF rec.ROOM_NO!=nLastRoom THEN
            -- new room-> new record
            NEXT_RECORD;
            nLastRoom:=rec.ROOM_NO;
          END IF;
        ELSE
          nLastRoom:=rec.ROOM_NO;
        END IF;
        -- Assume that the value for CHECKED is Y for the checkboxes
        COPY('Y', 'DY' || rec.DAY_OF_DATE);
      END LOOP;
    END;

    I searched the registry for leftovers under the name of Seagate Manager: no results

    I use CCleaner, which I trust and have no problem with - no result

    The technician tried everything-no results.

    -> The message you see is triggered by Seagate Software. Only Seagate engineers would know these triggers, but it seems that they do not pass them on to their support department. They could consist of a file, an entry in a file or a registry key. Given the very large number of keys from registry and values, it is impossible to find relaxation by trial and error. I have some confusion with the uptime counter in Task Manager in Windows 8.

    I always close the system and just left on a few times to complete maintenance tasks. No matter if I quit, sleep or restart, this counter will always. Even deleted continues to go the power and always the meter.

    Why is what's happening and it can be fixed? Availability, is not supposed to count the time since the machine has started upward?

    Please could someone explain this to me.

  • HP deskjet 3050 j610a: hp deskjet 3050 j610a

    I have a hp laptop flow and a hp deskjet 3050 j610 while a printer/scanner/copier. It was working fine, I have it set to work wireless. I can print wireless without problem, but all of a sudden when I scan a document it appears on my laptop as a page with nothing but the black lines. You cannot say that there is a document at all. When you try to make a copy, it does the same thing, it prints nothing else than to the thick black lines.

    I already followed the instructions on the hp Web site. I tried unplugging everything and reconnect it when it is 'static', nothing helps.

    I cleaned the glass and scanner cover that has absolutely nothing.

    I used the printer doctor thing they ask you to download and it conducted tests on everything. It is said there is nothing wrong with it, when I do the scan test it always shows me a document of the black line.

    I tried to uninstall the software and printer and did a fresh install, it still does the same thing. I tried to wipe my laptop to the factory settings and resinstalling a new copy of the software of the printer, nothing happens.

    I entered the function within the software, I downloaded from hp and performed maintenance tasks. clean the cartridges, aligned the cartridges and a printed report but it is written an essay on the glass of the scanner has not been made.

    He told me to put a blank page on the screen and press black copy and it prints the same black lines.

    It was not dropped or damaged. It is in the same place all day, every day. NEVER, it moves its location. I clean the area regularly, so there is rarely any dust or debris on or around him.

    nothing has worked. I tried to look it up if he was still guaranteed, I knew I didn't... but I wanted to see if there is an option if I could send it even if they charged me to fix it, but the only option I found was to come here on this forum.

    someone please tell me that they have had the same problem and they know how to solve this problem, im at the end of the line of patience and I can't move forward more. any help would be greatly appreciated. just don't tell me to go buy a new one, I love it and want to do what I can to address them.

    Please please help? someone... anyone... Thanks in advance.

  • DeskJet 2540: Problem of cartridge Deskjet 2540

    I bought a carton of color HP301XL real alternative with my new printer a year ago 2540 (John Lewis - & I have every two years warranty with them).  A few months ago, when the ink of the trial missed, (& while the printer was still under warranty HP), I installed the new cartridge and it worked fine for a while.

    A week or two there is the printer will not operate and displays a message indicating that the cartridge is empty and that it replaces. I use the print color VERY sparingly. The ink level display showed a lot of remaining ink and I did not see how the cartridge might have suddenly run out of ink.

    I scoured the suggested remedies: clean contacts cartridge and printer (distilled etc.). After several attempts to clean-up, the printer started working again for a day or two, but then the almost nine (genuine HP) black cartridge empty also showed. More cleaning and the printer worked again for a day or two, showing both nearly full cartridges, ink indicators.

    Since then I could not print and everytime I try, I get a variety of messages telling me the cartridge is empty or not a part of HP, or it is a cartridge 'more' and must be replaced.

    It takes a lot of my time and I have other things to do than mess trying to convince the printer to work.

    Could you help please, before that I resort to contact John Lewis for help and a replacement printer as possible?

    Hi @ILIL,

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I understand your frustration and want to help you with the HP Deskjet 2540 and problems with the cartridges that you encounter.

    I'll see you when you started running on the problem, you have repeated the cleaning process several times. When you clean or align the print heads that shoot the ink cartridges for these maintenance tasks, that's why you saw the depletion of ink. To get a better understanding of take a look below:

  • DeskJet 970 - no Toolbox HP in Windows 7 driver

    It seems that now I've upgraded to Windows 7, I'm not finding the same level of printer features driver for my old-but-still-working-perfectly Deskjet 970.   For example, where is the utility to display the ink level estimated with each cartridge?   The printer driver "in the OS" seems to be Sub optimized compared to the provided HP driver that I had in the previous operating systems such as Vista.   Is it because HP can not be bothered to provide a suitable driver for this printer on Windows 7?    They are trying to subliminally to force me to buy a new printer?

    Hi splinternet.

    Although your HP product works essentially the same with the driver the operating system (OS), you will notice some differences. One difference is that you will not have access to the same HP Toolbox. However, there is workaround solutions available for tasks that are usually performed with the HP Toolbox.

  • Automatic maintenance cannot be stopped on Windows 8-64 bit OS

    Automatic maintenance works for the last two months. When I try to stop the automatic maintenance in the center of the action, he gives no answer.

    Hi Adam,.

    If you are logged in using an administrator account?

    Windows 8 automatically performs a number of maintenance tasks for you, including the diagnoses of the intelligent system, to check if updates are available for your software and perform security scans. Auto maintenance done too many functions, switch it off completely is not advisable.

    Automatic Maintenance runs normally at a time when the computer is idle. When it detects that the computer is used both in the demand for auto maintenance, then it does not start automatically, and instead, he waits for the next time when the computer is idle.

    Apparently, it is not possible to turn it off completely. You could disable at least starting to wake your computer.

    You can view the MSDN blog to change the settings for Maintenance and to get more information about the automatic Maintenance on Windows 8:

  • DeskJet 1280: Deskjet 1280 drivers for Windows 10 x 64

    Hello

    I have a HP Deskjet 1280 printer and recently upgraded my OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10 x 64. The operating system cannot find a compatible driver for the printer and my attempts to find someone online have been unsuccessful.

    Could you please help me and advice if and where I could find the driver I'm looking for?

    The Deskjet 1220C driver available via Windows Update is a good match for the Deskjet 1280 Windows 10.

  • HP Deskjet 6980: windows 10 + HP6980 to print YELLOW

    The driver for the HP Deskjet 6980 for Windows 10 mistranslates colors sent to the printer. It's what I use is the only new driver for this printer for Windows 7/64.

    Specifically, the YELLOW does not print at all - anything this spell either green blue. I tested this feature by printing two versions of color bars. Indeed, there is no yellow printing, and all the Greens are printed blue. And, Yes, I use new color and black cartridges, so no need to ask about it.

    I built a computer completely NEW with NEW hard disks and a clean install of Windows 10/64-bit via USB 3.0 drive. The only two things that the surplus of my old Windows XP system are the printer and the scanner (HP Scanjet 4370) which worked perfectly on XP system. The scanner has its own problems with Windows 10 and the HP Photosmart Premier does not work (but it is a different matter). I downloaded the new drivers for both devices.

    Apparently, from what I read on the site of HP, the printer or the scanner are supported any longer. I consider that very rude and unacceptable, especially since no appropriate replacement printer is available new from HP with good quality that I've come to expect from HP.

    All that said, is anyone know how I can get my printer to print YELLOW?

    Hello

    Thank you for using the HP Forums.

    The Deskjet 6980 is available in the IN-OS drivers.

    Drivers to win 10 In-OS

    Follow these steps

    1. click right on the button start (Windows icon) select 'control panel '.

    2. under "Control Panel", select "view devices and printers."

    3. Select "add a printer".

    4. If he finds your printer (you have your printer connect via the USB port on your computer), follow these steps to install the drivers in the OS.  Otherwise, select 'the printer that I want isn't listed' > next

    5. in the next screen, select 'Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings' > next

    6. Select "use an existing port: ' > next»»

    7. Select HP > HP Deskjet 6980 (HP) (we recommend that you click on "Windows Update" which could make the HP Deskjet 6980 printer (HP) option.  Note that the 'Windows Update' can take up to 10 minutes depending on how fast your speed at wide band is"

    8. click on 'Next' and follow the remaining steps to install your printer driver.

    Hope that helps for printing.

    About your Scanner, you can try this:

    HP extended Scan

    FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

    Once it has downloaded and installed, go to start > all programs > HP > HP Scan extended > Run "HP Scan extended.
