HP Deskjet 3000 printer - J310a

Printer only works with USB for laptop.  Have a wireless network using an Airport Extreme, connected to a router from Verizon.

Printer is 'offline' and I don't know how to get "on line".

Find the disk for the installation of the printer.  Uninstalled same and then re-installed.  Worked beautifully!

It was the simplest and most direct way to solve the problem.

Thanks for your help.

  • Deskjet 3000 printer problem

DeskJet 3000 shows OK ink levels. the test print on most lines only 1/2 the height of letters. Printer did not run for about 5 months. ???

The printhead on the cartridge for this model, is about half an inch, so if the white lines repeat every half inch or so indicate, ink do not come out. You may need to run 'clean' print head (or can be called 'clean cartridge'), a few times until all the ink jets are disabled. On some models there is a "Deep cleaning" mode, if requested, try this.

If the problem persists, maybe replace the black ink cartridge.

  • HP Deskjet 3000: Prints but no ink on paper

Have had problems with connectivity since the upgrade to Windows 10. Have not used printer in a few months. This am I able to restore connectivity and downloaded the new software. Now the printer 'prints' but nothing is on paper. Checked ink supply-says that's enough. Tried to "clean" - still nothing on paper.

Because if the printer had not been used at the month, cartridges are dried up.

  • Driver HP Deskjet 3000 for windows 2000?

Hello, I tried to install my HP Deskjet 3000 printer on a Windows 2000 system and I can not find a suitable driver to make it work. Can anyone help?

    Hello

The deskjet 3000 printer is not compatible with Windows 2000, you will find listed by the operating system specified below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02231304

I fear you can find no workaround possible as there are no drivers for the device that is compatible with Windows 2000.

  • DeskJet 3000 and Mediasmart Photo print

When I select the printing of 4 x 6 size in the configuration of the printer, paper size shrinks automatically to 3.7x5.4. The preview of the photo shows that it does not fill the entire book of photo 4 x 6.

The spec of for the Deskjet 3000 indicate that paper 4 x 6 with tabs (actually 4 "x6.5") is required to print without margins.

  • Cannot print in Win 8 and Excel 2013 Deskjet 3000 USB plugged - resolved

    Hello

Newly installed computer running win 8/64-bit and Office 2013.  Have Deskjet 3000 USB printers.  Last driver HP and the latest installed MSFT.

Searched for this problem and most seem to be reoslved by changing the print quality settings, I tried all project photo and same result.

When I print from Excel, I see my spreadsheet in the Preview Print print area is correct.  I click on print and if I quickly change the status of pinter I see document number go from zero to 1 and then back to zero what any windows spooler.  I also changed printer for any coil.

I have no problem printing form other applications Office Word and PPT, or Adobe Reader or my browsers.  Just in Excel.

Don't know where to go from here? I ran the HP diagnostic tools and they work very well and that you can get test pages printed on them as well as Windows itself.  No error messages at all when the problem occurs, the print file seems to disappear.  I can print in a file from Excel and then print this file if its PDF without problem.

    Very mysterious!

    Thank you

    OK update:

I removed the HP software and driver and simply use the native Windows 8 driver and everything is wonderful.  Seems strange that doesht mfg driver work but the Windows version only.  All that I know is just remove any HP software and the driver and just take the default of WIndows and life is perfect!

Hi rich, happy to hear that the problem is now resolved, thanks for posting back with update

  • HP Deskjet 3000: I can't get my Deckjet 3000 to work with my new 61XL ink cartridge

I always bought HP 61 ink cartridges for my printer HP deskjet 3000 and have never had a problem, I recently bought the XL 61 because cartridge that I was printing a lot of things, but every time I put the new cartridge in I get an error message and I don't understand why.

    Hi @Hpierce,

XL cartridges are certainly more profitable and should work. I understand that you see an error message when you try to use the 61XL, I can help you.

It seems to me that the issue could be just this cartridge. Please use the following to fix the problem and let me know the result of your efforts: HP Deskjet 1000 (J110) and the 3000 series printers (J310) - a "ink cartridge problem,'"Incompatible print cartridge", or"Ink cartridge failed"Message appears on the computer."

Please do not forget to keep me abreast of the results, so that I can follow up with you. Thanks, I look forward to hear from you.

  • DeskJet 3000 J310: Driver for HP DeskJet 3000 J310 does not install on Windows 10

We have a home network that has our 3000 DeskJet installed and available as a network printer device.  I can print is no longer after the upgrade to Windows 10 on my Lenovo ThinkPad.  I downloaded the full features and software for the DeskJet 3000 several times and restarted my computer Windows 10.  I also ran the doctor print and scan.  I finally found a message that the software and the driver would not install, but I can't understand why.  The DeskJet 3000 is listed as a printer, when I look at printers and Scanners in devices in the settings on my laptop, but the message is that driver is not available.  I am at a loss to know what to do next to resolve this problem.  My husband is still able to print using his office computer that is running an earlier version of Windows.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello @linda51!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I see that after updating to Windows 10 you lost printing wireless Deskjet 3000.  I should be able to provide a few suggestions that may fix the problem.  I know that you have reinstalled several times without success.  I'm going to recommend that uninstall you the HP software, one more.   Once the uninstall is complete, it would be wise to perform a cleanup of the computer disk. A disk cleanup will improve the performance of the computer and remove the temporary files that may cause problems during the installation of the software. Once disk cleanup you must restart the computer and reinstall the HP software.

To uninstall the HP software, click here: uninstall the HP software

To perform a disk cleanup, click here: perform a disk cleanup (the link is for Windows 8.1 but the same steps for 10)

To download the HP software, click here: HP Deskjet full feature software and drivers

How do you have the printer connected to the computer?  If the printer is connected wireless, then it is possible that a firewall in the Windows operating system has been turned on and is now blocking of scanning.  I recommend to download HP Print and Scan doctor.  With printing and scanning doctor, you can temporarily disable the firewall that may block the printer from the computer.  If the printer is found, you need to turn your firewall on back to make sure that your computer is blocked.

To download the print and the doctor Scan click here: print and Scan Doctor

To temporarily turn off the firewall:

    1. Download and open the Print and Scan Doctor
    2. Click on 'Network' at the top of the window
    3. Click on 'firewall troubleshooting. "
    4. Select the firewall and disable

Launch the software HP again to see if the printer is located.  If the printer is not found, then you want to communicate with your provider of firewall while allowing access to the printer to the computer.

    To turn on the firewall:

    1. Open the print and Scan Doctor
    2. Click on 'Network' at the top of the window
    3. Click on 'firewall troubleshooting. "
    4. Select the firewall and select

If please, after back and let me know how it goes!

  • DeskJet 3000 j310: HP deskjet 3000 J310 disappeared from the network. ! cannot reload!

It has worked flawlessly for more than a year. I came here today and got a mean message when I tried to print. I checked the report and it is connected and a signal is "excellent".

Tried to re load with cd, still does not say here, but it is listed on the page of the router Linksys 4200 as being there, and the ip address is displayed on the report.

I went to the forums and downloaded the latest version of the software and re installed, after you remove it from my laptop and always the same, no printer not found. I managed to print a single label, while it was connected via USB during the editing phase, but still not of wireless

I would like to help you today with the resolution of this conflict of wireless printing. Thank you for all the troubleshooting steps you tried before reaching out for support. Once we check if there is a wireless connection, I'll run you through troubleshooting to resolve the error "no printer found" that you receive on your computer when you try to reinstall your wireless printer. Can I please you follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Check of connectivity:

    1. on the front panel of your HP Deskjet, select the Wireless button

2 make a note of the IP address that appears on the printer.

    3. on your Windows 7 computer please open the internet browser

    4. in the address bar of the Web browser please enter your printers IP address. Do not include the www.

    5. search this site. A Web site for your printer should now open.

    • If a Web site for your printer opens correctly: This indicates that your printer and your computer are always communicate via the wireless network. Therefore, it is likely that a program runs in the background on your computer is "blocking" your printer from being detected on the computer.
    • If a Web site for your printer does not open: This indicates that your printer and your computer communicate wirelessly.

  • HP deskjet 3000 j310: change language

I need to know how to change the language in a hp deskjet 3000 j310 to English.

I'd appreciate your help with this problem! Thank you!

    Hi @usmcr,

The installation of the software is just for the drivers and the software, not the language on the printer.

I could find the Deskjet 3000 in one of our labs. That's what I came up with after playing with the buttons on it.

Press and hold for a few seconds on each button, in that order.

    Key background circle.

    Middle circle button.

Use the middle circle button to scroll through the list of languages.

Then you should be able to see the Yes and no and then select Yes.

I hope this helps. Happy holidays!

  • Where can I find the download of the base for a HP Deskjet D4260 printer driver?

Where can I find the download of the base for a HP deskjet D4260 printer driver? I have a new Windows 8 tablet running, and the only thing I can find is downloadable for the complete software suite.  References from the HP website they have a base driver download but you don't tell where.  Search all of lead them to the download of the complete suite.

    Hello eworth3,

I followed on the specific page for this driver and found the same thing - my apologies that there is not a link on this page for basic training.  I did a search on the site hp.com for this text and it took me to a page that has the base driver... I have included the link below.  This is the basic feature software solution and is a driver software intended only to users who want a basic print and driver scanning for use with their device from HP all-in-one.

Thank you for that bring to our attention: I would ask to add the link to the specific page.
