  • All-in-one DeskJet 4625 and printing with Mac OS 10.9 Maverick

I just installed Maverick - Mac OS 10.9 - and print is no longer a device all-in-one DeskJet 4625.  The computer and the device are communicate since I can see the ink levels, scanner and other functions, but it will not be printed.  I know that there is no problem with the printer, since I can print to it from another computer that has installed Mac OS 10.8.  Apparently, there is a need for an update of the printer driver.  Apple support is not an updated driver.  So, my question is hp will provide an updated driver?  And when?

    Hello

    Apple provide a updated driver.

First restart your Mac, then click on the Apple icon and select software update, do not forget to install any available HP or Apple updates.

If you can't print, try installing the package from the link below and check if this is useful, although it does not list the Mavericks, it should work on the operating system as well:

    Hi floats,

You will find that this document contains instructions to install the product in a wireless network using an access point , such as a router . This type of network is called an infrastructure network. HP recommends the type of network infrastructure for a wireless connection to your product.

Follow the steps outlined in the document below and let me know how it goes?

  • HP 200 MFP M276nw not seen in the network after changing router

Printer: LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw

LAN: both PC (Windows 7) and the printer connected to the router.  Other devices connect wirelessly.  Internet service is cable.

I installed this printer when a router Linksys E2500 was in use.  The configuration of the network after the installation of the printer:

    IPv4 address: 192.168.1.120

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

    Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

    Configured by IP: DHCP

I replaced the router Linksys with a Netgear WNDR4500 router (N900) a month ago.  Everything worked fine for about two weeks.  All of a sudden, jobs sent to the printer began to take a long time to start to print until they stopped printing altogether.  The printer does not appear as a device plugged (cable) in the interface of the router on the Web.  Not even the HP Print or HP Print software and the Scan doctor could find a printer is connected.

I have unisntalled and reinstall the printer, but did not succeed until I changed the Ethernet cable connecting the printer to the router.  The difference is that the old cable Cat5e and replacement a Cat6?  It's printing and scanning now but the printer is still absent as a wired device, and I fear that it will stop working once more.

I noticed that the network configuration of the printer after reinstalling is:

    IPv4 address: 169.254.230.140

    Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

    Default gateway: 169.254.230.140

    Configured by IP: AUTOIP

Research on the Web, I found an article saying that AUTOIP could be a sign of problems of router or a cable.  My suspicion is that the IP address of the printer is constantly changing and this is the reason for the delay of printing.

My questions to the experts are: I could assign an IP address to the printer manually so I can add it in the router - it provides to this effect- and how this is done?   In the Toolbox of device HP under the IPv4 Configuration, there is a dropdown menu with different options - DHCP, BOOTP, AUTOIP, and manual, but I don't know if the changes are made here or if it's a more complex undertaking.

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    Miguel remainder

I solved the problem, the same day I posted the request for help.

I've closed everything down - including the cable modem and router - but left the printer.  Go to the printer control panel and changed is manual configuration IPv4 of AutoIP toe.  I had already selected an IP starting with 192, since I read that starting with 169 IP addresses are associated parameters AutoIP.  From there on, the printer has presented a valid subnet mask addresses, I took one, and a default gateway address.  Then I stopped the printer.

I turned on the modem, router, pc and printer.  The router then showed the printer as a device connected with his newly assigned IP address.

I figured that the cable was not a problem here, so I put the Ethernet Cat5e cable.  What baffles me, is why the printer changed to AutoIP because it was not made by any user.  Check the reports printed during the first installation of the printer, I see that the method of IP in DHCP address.  After putting in the new router, changes were to name SSID and password in wireless devices and found the firmware of the router.

It was learning by trial as I'm not a computer expert, but so far, we print and scan documents.

Thanks to all who took the time to read the post and offered help.

    Hey @gingerjean1,

Welcome to the HP forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I see that you have replaced your router and are having trouble with your Deskjet F4580 of connection to the network. I can help you with that.

As you use Macintosh 10.7 I recommend the use of a Windows PC to install the printer on and then to add to your wireless network. If this isn't a practical option there are a number of things we could try.

    Apple Software Update

    1. Click on your Apple icon and go to software updates.
    2. Install the available updates.
    3. Apple's HP printer driversdownload.

If during the installation there is no wireless options then:

    1. Go to your Apple system and print and Scan preferences icon.
    2. Double-click your printer icon on the left side of this screen.
    3. In the pop-up window, click on settings, utility, and then click Open Printer Utility.
    4. In this new window, you must have a wireless tab along the top, that you can click.
    5. On the left side, we are looking for a wireless configuration wizard.
    6. Run the Wireless Setup Wizard to add the printer to your wireless network.
    7. Once the printer is connected, disconnect the USB cable to the back of the printer.
    8. Return to the Apple, system, print, and Scan preferences.
    9. Click on the button "+" at the bottom left.
    10. In this window, select your printer.
    11. If there is a line indicating the use that says Airprint click to select your printer in the list instead.
    12. Click on Add.
    13. Try to print.

    Ad-Hoc

If the method above does not allow you to connect the printer wireless, then it can work.

    1. Perform a factory reset the printer. I will include guidance on how to do so shortly in a private message.
    2. Turn on the printer.
    3. Press the button on the front of the printer wireless.
    4. Wait for about a minute.
    5. On your Mac or another wireless device, you should see a network with a name similar to "HP Deskjet F4500 XX Print" listed. To connect to this network.
    6. Press and hold the scan button (the icon of the printer under the red x on the printer) for 10 seconds. When you release the printer should print a test wireless report.
    7. On the device you connected to the printer, open a web browser and type the IP address in the bar of address exactly as shown on the test report.
    8. You should have a network tab along the top of this window.
    9. On the left side, we are looking for a wireless configuration wizard.
    10. When you run that must connect the printer to your wireless network.
    11. Once the printer is connected, disconnect the USB cable to the back of the printer.
    12. If you have connected your Mac to the printer above and then reconnect the printer to your wireless network now.
    13. Return to the Apple, system, print, and Scan preferences.
    14. Click on the button "+" at the bottom left.
    15. In this window, select your printer.
    16. If there is a line indicating the use that says Airprint click to select your printer in the list instead.
    17. Click on Add.
    18. Try to print.

If it allows you to connect your printer to your wireless network and then do other forum users know clicking on accept as Solution below my post. Even if you have any other questions please let me know.

I hope this helps and I hope you have a nice day!

  • Change router password

I have a HP Laserjet Pro 100 M175nw. I want to change the password for my router. If I do, I won't have my printer connected to my network. After the call to HP, they told me that I have to go through the entire installation again for example connect USB, launch the installation etc... I use my printer with Mac and PC. When I bought it I set up the PC with a USB port and the driver already installed on the printer itself. For MAC I had to download a driver and use a USB key as well. Y at - it an easier as way crosses already installed software or the firmware of the printer and simply change the password?

    Hello

You can follow these steps to nake a such easier without involving any reinstallation of software:

    1. print a network configuration report and locate the IP address of the printer.

    2. Locate the IP address of the printer on the printerd sheet, go to this address from the web browser on your computer to access the EWS page.

    3. from the built-in Web Server page, click Networking > Wireless Configuration and change the password in this page for the new password.

4 confirm the changes. Note that wireless light should Flash at the moment as a bad password is configured for the printer, and then you should put off the printer.

    5. change the password of your router settings as required.

    6. Once you are done, turn on the printer, it needs to connect to your network by using the new password, and the wireless light should always lit blue solid.

Please let me know of any questions,

  • Change '\\ROUTER' "UNC-name" in Windows 7?

    A question about Windows 7 Networking: -.

Namely, my 'Network' W7 folder correctly lists the different places on my local network - my various computernames, printernames etc., and my router (Belkin) so that those who are connected and who himself has a "port" USB versatile controlled I guess by SAMBA software built into the router.

However, I noticed that regardless of 'make' from the router I use seems to have allocated which seems to be the name of vanilla by default ROUTER, which means that storage such as USB flashdrives attached to my Belkin "versatile USB port" (to create a simple NAS for example) have assigned a UNC name from \\ROUTER - for example \\ROUTER\mystick\myfolderthereon\myMSWordtherein.doc .

So far so good, normal and everything works perfectly. However... I would change the first part of the UNC so that rather than starting... ROUTER , it starts with something of my own choice for example just a plain R as in \\R\mystick\myfolderthereon\myMSWordtherein.doc .

Have searched high and low in the help files, etc online for where lives this ROUTER channel and whether or not he peut be changed - R or something - but so far without success, so thought I would try here.

    Thank you.

    It cracks to myself!

OK so as above, I've found I can't change my router's internal devicename ' \\ROUTER ' cos, as above, Belkin do not seem to provide an interface 'official' of my Play N600 to allow me to do.

But Microsoft - via its Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file - done well want to provide me with an interface to create an alias for an ip address.

So, as the basis of my router address is by default 192.168.2.1 (Yes,), I simply added the following line at the end of the text in my existing "hosts" file:-

    192.168.2.1 R

and 'bingo' now I can just use my desired UNC \\R\mystick\myfolderthereon\myMSWordtherein.doc etc etc for the folders and files of addresses on a Memory Stick into the USB port on my router.

Anyone else want to try this fudge "that works", please note: it would be necessary to change the Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts on all Windows machine on its local network in which we want to use such an "alias" of course; No matter if one is inconsistent, either, but if you're like me you you prefer no doubt to be consistent!

[To clarify: you can use 192.168.2.1 R on one machine but on another:-]

    192.168.2.1 Rtr

and then use UNC appropriate from \\Rtr or \\RTR (etc etc) on a machine that , although I don't really see the point!

Me, I use plain 'R' in the future! ]

    Hooray!

  • Changed router and now I can't print

BT have changed my router.  I use a Mac 10.9. My printer is an officeject 4620. It worked fine before the change in router. I can print to the printer itself, I can print using the HP software (but it ask me to enter the IP address and then enter the router password) but cannot print from any software, that is to say the word. I don't get an error message and the computer seems to try and send it to the printer, but it does not. Someone at - it ideas?

    Hi lynneseymour,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your post about not being able to print wireless from the evolution of your router, and I'd be happy to help!

With regard to the new router you use, what's his name, and model number? How far is the router of the printer? There is a parameter called "Multicast" router, and it must be enabled for printing from a Mac.

To connect the printer to the new network, you will need to restore the default network settings on the front panel.

This can be done by following these steps:

(1.) by clicking on the key icon on the lower part of the front panel

2.) click the arrow on the button down to network and press Ok

3.) scroll down to wireless settings and then click Ok

Scroll 4) to the network by default and press Ok

5.) click Yes and the default network will be restored

Then, the printing system needs to empty the old print queue. To do this, follow this document about the reset printing system.

Do not click on the button to add another printer, the next step is to run the HP installation wizard to perform an automatic wireless connection.

The next step is to run the HP Setup Assistant to start an automatic wireless connection with a usb cable.

Follow the steps under "optional: I installed my printer... to move to a wireless network connection" to install the software of the printer for a wireless network connection.

I will be looking forward to meet you and thank you for visiting the HP Forums!

  • How to change router ADDRESS of EQUIPMENT (MAC)

Bought a new Dell laptop and my C6180 in one would not print.

    Purchased a new HP 7520 all-in-one.

HP software installed, no problems until I went to install a printer and couldn't.

HP support were very good and concluded that the router would not accept the hardware address of HP (MAC).

    I bought a printer I don't have.

So much for the experts who told me that I had a defective printer.

I went to my ISP (hopeless) as found himself on the phone with people in the Philippines for hours.

Then transferred to the article Pro where they could solve my problem for a$ 120.00.

    The router/modem to ISP Techniclour TG 587nv3 sells a $ 44.00.

My question is how can I change the hardware address in the router.

    TheHP address a0:48:1 c: af:ba:18

When this is done, the printer will be installed.

    Best regards, normanl

    Hello

Found the problem, it is the same as the one that happened in the past.

    File corrupted windows 7.

So to my experts claiming that I had a defective printer - replace the router, it will be acceptable to send my invoices for the material, which I have not bought.

For the support of people in Asia who have no understanding of computer problems, but like parrots, just read a Q & A prepared entered report instructions. You are of no use.

The computer manufacturer who suggested that I was at fault and that the problem of the printer was not associated with my laptop.

Maybe time should be spent to recruit qualified personnel.
