HP Deskjet 8600 Pro takes forever to cancel printing

My printer is connected via Wi - fi. When printing, I realized that I made a mistake, if I press the button cancel on the printer. Printing has stopped, but the printer screen was stuck on the "Cancel printing" for more than an hour. I couldn't do anything else. How could I improve it?

Hello

Because the printer is in an idle state, the only option is to restart the printer.

  • shortcut for deskjet 8600 pro has disappeared. Re-run the installation program does not help. How can I get that back?

When I bought and installed my Pro Deskjet 8600 in last July, a wonderful control program has been installed. However, the shortcut on the desktop for this program has disappeared, and I can't. Re-run the installation program does not help. How can I get that back. All I have now is an older version of the HP Solution Center, which does not have the features that I got into the habit of.

    Hello

Uninstall the software by following programs > HP > HP Officejet Pro 8600 > Uninstall.

Then download and install the latest version of the software below, it is a more recent software and should solve the problem you are experiencing:

1 page takes aprox. 10 min to print from my printer HP Deskjet 3050 a. I tried with USB and via wireless network. I also tried my iOS 10.6.8 mac and my windows laptop with windows 7 starter. The printing time is the same. The HP print and scan doctor says that nothing is wrong. The printer is brand new.

    Can someone help me please.

    Thank you

This is probably caused by the failure of one of your cartridges.  Remove the black print cartridge and print a test page.  The printer prints at a normal speed?  Is therefore the black cartridge was the issue and needs to be replaced.  If it isn't then, put the black back cartridge in and remove the color cartridge and the test page printed.  If the printer now prints speed the color cartridge is responsible and must be replaced.

  • Printing with HP 8600 Pro

I have a HP 8600 Pro. I use an HP Pavilion laptop with windows 8.1. I printed a document that had 2 pages. 1 printed page, then I shut down the computer. (my mistake)

I turned the computer back on and tried to print in word, it says that 2 documents were pending. I tried to cancel the 2nd document and in the State, he said "delete", but it takes a long time. I turned off the printer hopeing that would clear it, but it didn't.

Now, I noticed that when I prine I get 2 things that say the following...

1 HP Officejet Pro 8600 (network)

    2 HP 4DEDB (HP Officejet Pro 8600)

If I use the HP Officejet 8600 (network), the printer prints. If I use #2 it will not print because it shows the State of the removal. What can I do to fix this? This printer is also used by my iMac.

    Hello cbbob,

I understand that you get problems printing documents using the Officejet 8600. I will do my best to help you! I recommend you remove the second printer, the first printer is to print a document. Please follow these steps:

Follow this document here how access to the devices and scanners on Windows 8.1. Now right-click on 4DEDB HP (HP Officejet Pro 8600) with your mouse and choose Remove device. You can do a right click on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 (network) and select set as default printer.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Have a good night!

  • Clean install of El Capitan takes forever

My SSD on my Mac Book Pro got some corrupted files, and I had to replace it. I am trying to do a clean install of El Capitan and it takes forever. It was 10 hours so far, and the status bar is about 75%.

I have a new SSD, the i5 CPU, the 8 GB of RAM and 1 Gbps Internet access speed. For those who take a long time for installation and operating system is simply ridiculous. I used to be an Apple fanboy...

The download is a function of connection. Installation depends on your hardware. Your connection may be 1 Gbit/s, but read this while you wait...

That said, it's a very long download from Apple.

  • OfficeJet 8600 Pro +-switch lamp cycling light then dim

My printer Officejet 8600 Pro + is brand new and is connected via my cable network. It works perfectly until now. Wi - Fi and fax are also well (deliberately) turned off / disabled & unnecessary.

The power switch has a beautiful green light to indicate that the printer has "power" OK - and the lamp seems to have two "on" States, namely 'dim' and 'bright '.

The printer seems to go into "Sleep Mode" OK, and the control panel goes off as planned after my predefined interval 'Sleep '. (I do not use the schedule options).  She also wakes up OK when I send a print job.  Once again, everything is going well so far...

While the printer is in this state of 'ECO' of low power, the intensity of the Green switch lamp varies slowly between high heat and Sun, on a cycle of 6 seconds - 3 seconds to "quick", then 3 seconds to "dim" and it keeps road - bright then dim then bright etc...

BUT... and here's my question... This lamp should stay there "dim" while the printer is in sleep mode?
Alternatively, the fact that he is back to 'light' all seconds imply that it is somehow failing to STAY fully 'asleep '?

I can't find clues about this in the manual of the printer.

Maybe I should raise a query with people to Support HP, but I thought I'd ask here first.

    Thank you in advance.

    Edited to add:
I would be happy to know that any other Officejet 8600 owner (or the owner of any other model Officejet) sees this same high heat/Sun behavior on their switch lamp?  Thank you.

    Hi PenSphere,

This is normal. All 8600 printers here at my place doing the same thing. He is to inform the customer that the printer is in mode 'sleep' and not completely extinguished. I hope that helps answer your questions.

  • A clean install of Windows 7 x 64 takes forever to search for updates

Don't know why, but the update takes forever to search on a clean install of windows. I made a lot of clean installations of Windows 7 before, but never had a problem with the receipt of the updates. But this time, it just doesn't go as far in receiving updates.

I don't have any firewall or antivirus programs installed on this system. Just new installation of windows 7. Tried the pro versions and at the same time with the same result.

Here's onedrive link for the log file

Please run the Windows Update Troubleshooter:
    http://go.Microsoft.com/?linkid=9830262

Please provide details of any problem it reports as not fixed.

Generally updates for Windows 7 can take more than 24 hours to get the list of those available.

  • Bridge CC 6.3 takes forever to open on Win10 x 64

Hi, I just updated my CC programs on a single machine at the office and now bridge takes forever to open. His process continues to run in the background (I can see it in the Task Manager) apparently frozen for many not minutes - no disk activity, no CPU activity, nothing - and then, out of nowhere, it loads its interface. After loading, it keeps freezing for no apparent reason. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice now, rebooted the machine and cleaned preferences, but it made no difference.

Any suggestions on how to solve this? On other stations everything works normally, by the way.

    Thanks in advance.

Specs: windows 10 Pro (ver 1511), Core i7 3770, 16 GB RAM, Radeon HD 7000 graphic card.

    Hi Damien,.

Could you please try to create a profile of a local administrator on your machine and check if the bridge starts very well in this account.

    Kind regards

    Gerard
