HP DV4 1155SE (NO VIDEO)

Then I turned on my DV4 1155SE & nothing came on the screen (black screen only)... tried to use a flashlight etc... can't see a thing on the screen. I can't get the HDMI or VGA ports to give an image on a separate monitor (never tried it before, so they can be hurt). I have no flashing LED indicating failure harware etc... This model has the AMD processor, I read his town for the motherboard to fail while I paid to make it replaced.after repair screen worked for 5 minutes, then went to black screen even once, now sometimes when first turn screen flickers for a second, but it's the fight it! No problem with a view to this, I'm kinda committed themselves to fix it now since I paid $200 for installation of mobo & $100 Any ideas? The screen would be my problem?

Well Yes, sound on the motherboard and replace or resolder him might need it again. Ask them to control the computer during a day after fixation.

I am having some problems with my HP Pavilion dv4-1155se sound.

The problem is the sound distorts when reading there.

The distortion is not always present but it distort once or twice every minute even when only applications that are running are "windows media player" and "windows sidebar".

I have not noticed any difference with the distortion when the processor is running at a higher load.

This laptop is only 3 weeks and I just installed google talk and google chrome.

    Help will be appreciated.

What do you mean by 'distortion '. Is it crackling, getting completely, something else? The problem only occurs through the built-in speakers or is it so when you plug head phone? If it doesn't happen out of the speakers so it could be a problem of speaker and you will need to have serviced it. If this happens off helmet too then this is probably a problem with audio card. If it's a problem of sound card so I will try to reinstall the driver of the RECOVERY Manager (I think the driver for this model is conexant high definition audio driver). If THIS does not work, then it could be Wireless interference. Some DV4 do not have enough shielding between the Wi - Fi cards and audio and this causes reactions. Find the switch wireless on the laptop and turn it off. If you turn off the wireless and the distortion disappears all of a sudden, then you know that this is your problem. If you have a DV4 without enough armor and you are still in warranty, you sent him have this fixed.

  • Pavilion dv4-1155se blink Code

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv4-1155se that turns off randomly. I noticed that the Caps/Scroll Lock button flashes 4 times when I try to turn it back on. After a few tries more I am able to re - turn on the computer and use it as usual.

So, that means the code? I found this link, which indicates that it might be the "Graphics controller not functional. Is this true for the dv4-1155se?

    Thank you.

Yes, those who blink codes are for your model.

It is to have some kind of graphic problem.

As a last resort, you can try a bios update if there is a newer than the currently installed version.

  • Looking for parts for HP Pavilion dv4-1155se

I have a HP Pavilion dv4-1155se laptop which works very well! No problem at all... except for one thing. One of the children fell on the right rear corner and broke the monitor casing and bent the hinge. The LCD still works fine, but it is only half attached the bottom of the case.

I need to find replacement parts at reasonable price. I think I would need the largest part of the whole of the screen under the screen itself. This is the model of "be" with the black and blue case graphics on it. I would get the same thing if I can. Anyone know where to buy these pieces for a good price? Or is there a list of part numbers that I could do a google search for? All I could find so far are LCD screens that I don't need.

Here's the manual for your interview with reference numbers.  See if that helps.

I've been on ebay see what would correspond to your computer.  There are a lot of things out there.  For most bronze. A couple of black people.  There is an a black right now that the owner spilled vodka top and it has stopped working. But the case is perfect and it's cheap.  You might want to look around on ebay in the components of the computer.  You might not get the blue graphics.

  • Pavilion dv4-1140go upgrade video card

Hi, I am looking to get my laptop to Skyrim-ability. Vista 64-bit, 4 GB of memory and Intel's integrated graphics. I did some research and it seems that the only way to get a better card for my laptop would be to replace the motherboard. Is a motherboard / alternative exists? An external GPU is probably out of the question, I don't think that my laptop has the ports for him.

    Thank you!

    Hello:

    You are right.

In order to update the video in your portable computer, the motherboard set must be toggled, and the best graphics solution available for your laptop is the Board of Directors with the nVidia GeForce 9200 M GS

(NB9M-GE-S) with 512 MB of video memory dedicated.

See the manual at the link below, Chapter 3, page 22. The part number for the motherboard, you can upgrade is 496730-001.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01597750.PDF

The Council alone put you back $470,25.

For me, the attendant costs for such upgrading are excessive and you would be better off listing where sell your laptop for one with graphics solution you want.

  • GPU upgrade

Hi I currently have a Pavilion dv4-1155se. I'm a big gamer, and I've gotten to the point where I simply can't play new games more. I am currently using an ATI RADEON HD 3200 graphics card. Is it not possible for me to add a Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 m 570 m and 580 m? If not either of those who could replace it with a better graphics card? Should I just get a new computer? I have also a card mother AMD M780G with a PCIe 2.0 slot, which I think could be used for a graphics card.

    Hello

For your laptop: you have to live with it or sell the machine and buy a new machine. It is impossible to upgrade the video card integrated on a laptop. For big players, try one of these:

  • Flicker at the bottom of the screen.

It is a very strange problem. My laptop started to exhibit a flickering at the bottom of the screen where the taskbar is. It seems to be a section in the middle of the screen copied and pulled down. I ran a scan of virus, with no result. Reinstalled all drivers with no result. Any program even indirectly related to the display have been reinstalled or uninstalled with the same result. This can also be seen outside of the operating system, such as the BIOS. I tried to register it to show to a friend, and when the video has been viewed that the symptoms were not visible. My specifications are below.

    HP dv4-1155se

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

    ATI Radeon HD 3200

AMD Turion x 2 Ultra Dual Core Mobile ZM-82 2.20 GHz

    4 GB OF RAM

I'll gladly provide more info if needed. Need help please, it is VERY annoying.

  • HP PAVILION DV4-3008TX: cannot detect Video card (Radeon 6750 m)

    Dear Sir.

I would like to know why my laptop can't detect my graphics (Radeon 6750 m). It shows that construction graphic card intel. I already try to use system restore and restore the original factory mode. It will appear but after updating my drivers and restart my laptop.  My laptop cannot detect the video card again.

Please help me solve this problem

    for you reference

    http://Tinypic.com/r/2it67ex/8

You will need to activate the card Radeon HD using the Catalyst Control Center.

Once you do that the adapter appears in Device Manager.

If you use the Intel HD graphics card, only the graphics card Intel will be seen in Device Manager.

I know that may seem strange, but it's one of the features of having a switchable graphics capable laptop computer.

The following URL goes to a switchable graphics overview. Take a few minutes and read it. It should help to simplify the understanding.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-dv4-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/5048648/model/5072629/document/c03048374

Not install the Intel graphics driver separateely!

This interrupts the switchable graphics feature.

Install only the HP ADM ATI graphics softpaq. It will install the two drivers automatically and allow you to use the graphics switchable featrure og your laptop.

is there some sort of update or something that could be done in this sense?

    Hi @andrewtiw,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv4 - 2048 ca Notebook PC and questions with warming. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings that may resolve the problem.

Here is a link to overheating . If the laptop has dust on the fans, it could be overheating.

If this does not help at the end of this document it tells you to do a test equipment. It will check any concerns with your hardware on the laptop.

I would like to know how this happens.

    Thank you.

  • My HP dv4-1145go is dead - no lights, no video, nothing.

A few months ago my dv4 has stopped working. It is a device I want to make it work, in order to prevail on the TRIPS Agreement and use it for email and web browsing.

My diagnostic skills are limited and a multimeter is the extent of my test. I don't want to spend money on the wrong parts, but I'm willing and able to replace the motherboard if it is the right solution. Given to nine are available on the Internet within my price range, which is around $100, as the machine is 5 or 6 years.

Your experts can help me greatly in commenting and suggesting steps that I take to diagnose the problem. Here's what I've done to date.

During the inspection, I first noticed that the power jack led was, so I traded the power adapter external with another one of HP brand and nothing has changed. I tried the power dv4 adapter, also with a label of HP, on my HP dv6700 and it worked correctly. So for now, I think my adapter is good.

Then, I removed the motherboard from the folder and it inspected for burnt components or other signs of deterioration. Nothing is obviously broken or burned, but I found a "fist" full of dog hair that I removed the fan. Don't know if it was enough hair to stop the fan and the overheating of the device. I worry about the processor is damaged, but do not know how to check. Any comments on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

To be on the safe side, I ordered a power supply and cable for a modest sum of money. He is yet to come, but seems to be a wise investment.

That is the measure of my efforts, and I hope that an expert will take my fate to heart and make comments and suggestions to help me find the cause of failure of the laptop. Then, I can better decide on the right solution.

    Thank you.

Thank you very much for the compliment and the suggestion to move forward. I'll do what you suggest. Look at this post for updates, but I can take the time in all this is done. Thanks again.

  • Windows XP 32-bit on dv4-1117nr installation

I am trying to install Windows XP 32-bit on dv4-1117nr, who initially installed Windows Vista 64-bit.

However, whenever I start using the XP installation CD, it shows the Blue error screen and asks me to restart.

Is there something wrong in the process?

    Thanks in advance.

These instructions are from the user "answertome".

The video is in Italian, but just pay attention to the screen, I was able to follow the instructions and make it work.

Like the previous user said, you will need to format your hard drive, all first as well.

first of all, you must have a regular o XP Professional licence. Vista Home is not inlcude the right to downgrade to XP.

When you have your XP CD, if you try to install youi will have a screen of wheat with the code error: ERROR STOP 0xX0000007B. This because the Microsoft XP CD is missing from the AHCI driver for the SATA drive controller.

You must add the AHCI driver on the XP cd using nlite software.

the steps you need to do are:

    (1) download and install Nlite from site nliteos.com web

    (2) downlaod driver AHCI from HP ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39501-40000/sp39786.exe

    (3) If you don't know how to use nlite, just look at the little clip that you can find here http://www.filecloud.com/files/category.php?user_category_id=283210

    You can see 2 clips:

    (1) add SATA driver by controller ICH9 (intel Montevina) .avi-> This shows how to add only the driver AHCI (a few words in Italian)

    2) integrareSP3_e_SATA_AHCI_finale_con_audio_e_logo2.avi--> This shows how to add the SP3 and the driver AHCI (audio in Italian, but you can understand it enough to see the video)

When you have your new CD with SATA/AHCI driver, you will be able to install XP on your laptop

    Ciao
