    Hello

You must take the RTC battery and the wire stuck on it, of the Board of Directors:

Withdrawal of the real-time clock battery

Before you start: follow all precautionswhen removing and replacing components.

    Remove the battery.

    1. Loosen the six screws Phillips P1 in captivity which fix the accessory cover to the bottom of the laptop.
    2. Use your finger or a flat blade tool to lift the edge of the cover of the accessory and remove it.
    3. Unplug the cable from the system board RTC battery.
    4. At the same time press the clip that keeps the RTC battery at the base, slide the RTC battery forward. The RTC battery is also attached to the motherboard with double-sided tape.

    The real-time clock battery change

    1. Slide the RTC battery in the clip integrated into base housing.
    2. Reconnect the cable to RTC battery to the system board.
    3. The accessory cover on the housing of the base of the toes.
    4. Tighten the 6 Phillips head screw P1 in captivity.

  • SSD drive in dv7 - 1273cl

I inherited this laptop with a defective cooling and no hard drive fan.

I would use an SSD instead of a normal HARD drive,

with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit edition.

I think that SSDS are SATA, so should hook up OK,

    but the Assembly is different?

    Will this work OK?

two 4 GB ram 800 mhz would not hurt.

If buy a decent SSD you shouldn't have any problem & install sick the same to deal with HARD drive.

The speed should be much much better & a clean generic Windows Installer without bloatware & unnecessary garbage of the programs & services will add to it yet.

Links of Windows 7 are in thread below if necessary.

  • Pavilion dv7 OS upgrade from Vista to Win7

    Need help please...

Buying the Win7 OS in a shop in the only way for me to upgrade my laptop?

Or is there a possibility to download the Upgrade via HP or MS?

Finally, with the upgrade, are currently available for download drivers (HP Pavilion dv7 - 1273cl)?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi for dog,

Windows 7 has been available for download on the Microsoft Store until the latter part of 2012 - however, now, you will need to buy an installation disc from a store.

Windows 7 drivers are available for your laptop - see the link below.

  • Using USB recovery Vista on a laptop different

I bought 2 identical laptops HP dv7 - 1273cl Vista 64-bit Yes or 4 years and never created the recovery disc. One of the disks of the laptop is corrupted; It is so bad, that it does not recognize the disc. My question: can I create a good recovery on the laptop USB drive and then use it to recover the laptop bad? I bought a new drive. If not, it could be proposed.

    Thank you

    Steve

    Hello

As long as all the material and the version of Vista (i.e. Home premium, professional, etc.) are identical, the recovery media created on one of the machines should work on the other - a point to note is that the replacement of HARD drive should be of the same capacity (or slightly larger) as the original drive. smaller, can cause problems with the recovery process.

  • Can you help me? Switch to Vista SP2 or not?

    Hey guys,.

I just bought this refurbished laptop HP Pavilion dv7 - 1273cl. It came with Vista SP1 downloaded on and I started getting this error message "HP Media Smart TV resident program has stopped working" whenever I start. Then after a month I started to receive a lot of errors of Internet Explorer crashing to which I have simply ignored. Then the screen kept flashing and I would get an error from the NVIDIA graphics software although I have updated all the drivers to the latest.

At the beginning I was able to hook my laptop to my flat screen TV with cable HDMI sound and image worked well, but then, after a week, there was no only the image of sound. So I'm a little frustrated with HP laptop and I was wondering what to do here to solve these problems. I put everthing back to factory settings twice and have updated everthing I could via Windows Update; except for Service Pack 2 for Vista Windows update does not automatically update. I manually do it and I hope that the system would improve or stabilize? or can I just bypass Vista SP2 and upgrade to Windows 7.

    Thank you

    Rob

    Rob,

Have you upgraded your HP Media Smart TV software?

In my opinion, this is the latest version, I would install this first.

  • HP Pavilion dv7: unable to connect to the Internet

I can't access the Internet via ethernet or wireless. It seemed to happen after an update of Windows 10.

Other computer and android phone can access the wireless. When I click on the wireless icon, I see different networks, including mine. However, it is said, "No Internet, secure." I ran a diagnosis, saying that the wireless network adapter and the wired network adapter does not work. I tried to update the drivers, but to no avail.

I remove this update. I have HP Pavilion dv7, produces none. QJ799AV #ABA. It seems that there are no drivers for Windows 10.

  • Pavilion dv7t-4000 laptop: AMD HDMI port on the computer laptop dv7 is lost after free trial Win10 returns to Win7 Home Premium edition

My laptop was purchased in sept 2010 and runs Win7 Home Premium Edition (64-bit).

It worked perfectly until June 2016, when the trial version free odious Win10 forced itself on my laptop.  I had no choice, I used Win10 for a day or 2 and then discovered that:

    (1) I lost the audio capability, HDMI port, I use to connect to my TV, and

    (2) the Win10 trial enabled me to return on Win7, I did without delay.

In my Win 7 restored, everything was fine, except when I have her go in Control Panel to configure / reconfigure HDMI as the default, I couldn't - the element used to appear as "AMD HDMI Audio" is no longer displayed.  I remember a message during the free trial period Win10 that says it has disabled any material incompatible.  Without a doubt, Win10 free trial 'killed' this HDMI/device port, at least audio-wise.

Today, I always run the same Win7, but I can't have audio HDMI on this port.  When I connect to my TV, the video works.  Win7 Device Manager it shows with an exclamation in yellow, and when I right click to get more details, there is a message saying Microsoft:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52).

Is there a way to 'get it '?  'this' is AMD HDMI audio.  (and wthout spoil the graphics - that is, video)

I tried to install the drivers provided by AMD [graphics] and that did not work. The Internet from AMD website says that the audio drivers are included in the package for graphics drivers.  There is also a huge confusion in the way these low level items are named/described: ATI and AMD, because they have merged, were used somewhat interchangeably.  I also tried the graphics drivers AMD HP Support Web site specific to my laptop and it has only gotten worse.

Thank you for your kind attention.

    Hi @ RTX,

Awesome response. I read the details and depth of your post. I understand that the bios is updated. So you could end up with this update.

Happens to the other updates. This will be the order.

    1. Uninstalling the driver Chipset and resettlement.

2 reinstalling and uninstalling graphics drivers

    3. uninstall the sound drivers and reinstall.

Before uninstalling, you can try to update the drivers supplied by device also Manager and if that market that will be great. Please, do it only if you don't have already done.

Before uninstalling please make sure that you capture an image of the complete Device Manager window. Take some pictures of your cell phone. Please note the exact device for audio and video chipset drivers. Then, you will need to uninstall it from the Device Manager and install from the support site in the above order so that there is no confusion.

If nothing works as a last resort, you may need to restore complete system to factory settings. Please backup your files before doing so. This is possible since the recovery of your computer's hard drive partition.

  • Pavillion DV7: Can I PUT

Anyone know if my laptop can run win 8 or 10 instead of VISTA.

    is laptop Pavilion DV7 - 1215eo

What about Windows 7? Superior to Vista way. Your video chip Radeon HD3450 is on the list of specifically not supported by Windows 10 chips. Windows 8 would probably work OK, but you would be better with 7 instead of 8. I know for sure 7 works fine as I have Windows 7 running on essentially the same model without any problem.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 - 3188cl: HP Pavilion does not connect to Internet (resolved)

I recently got a HP Pavillion Entertainment, model number dv7 - 3188cl, for me to use for a class at the school by my uncle. Before the recovery, everything worked perfectly well. My uncle asked me to reset the computer, so we used the recovery disks that wiped the hard drive successfully but then refuses to reinstall the operating system. Instead of getting another set of recovery disks that I've used a Windows 7 install disc to reinstall the OS and he did so successfully with one flaw, the laptop does not connect to the internet.

I tried to connect via ethernet and it does not find my WiFi network. I suspect his lack a driver and checked for drivers on the HP site but he said that there is none. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and if there is no driver for this I would be grateful if you could tell me where to download from.

    Thanks in advance.

Update: after some search Intel had the good driver needed.

All your Windows 7 drivers (and some) are displayed on your Support page:
