My started fan gets loud if I open my laptop and he cleaned. Put it all back together, turned on and now it's even stronger than before. Any suggestions as to the cause of the problem? The laptop itself works fine btw just the fan is to be extremely strong and operating at 3000 + rpm and the cpu is at 48-50 degrees celcius.

Right now I'll take off again, see if I did something wrong. Any other comments or suggestions on a soultion would help. Thank you!

Yes you're right, it doesn't seem to be one. At the moment I took my laptop apart again and I disassembled the whole fan and put a lubricant on this area. It seems to have solved the problem at the moment, just as quiet when I bought. I ordered a replacement part, but it seems I've done be silent fan for now.

  • Tecra M5 turn off randomly, but fans and the l.e.d remain on

First of all Hello to all,
I m new on this forum, because until now I had no problem with my laptop,
I hope that someone will be able to help with my problem,

    I have a Tecra M5 (PTM51E0N903JEN)
He has recently developed a fault where there is a slight click then the screen turns white and the fans at full speed, the led at the front will also stay on,
I only really use it on the grid with the battery inside,
without the power of the adapter to the battery lasts only about 10/15 minutes max.
the first start of the day, it can last from 10 minutes to 3 or 4 hours without freezing as cela, but after that he did once he continues to do so whenever I try to reboot or sometimes 5/10 minutes after I start windows xp,

If I play any games or anything that uses a lot of video memory, it seems to crash more quickly.

    Specs are below:

    Windows xp pro sp3,
    3 GB of ram,
    NVIDIA QUADRO NVS110M
All the drivers etc up to date,
All windows updates to day to day,

Does anyone have an idea what could cause this problem?

I also disassembled the Tecra and cleaned the fan and the heat sink as at first I thought it may be a heat problem, but it happens even after I added a desk fan blowing directly into the ventilation openings on the underside of the laptop.

The only other thing I thought that maybe the cause was the very old battery, but I've learned since you can actually use the Tecra without the battery in all with just the power supply.

I'm at loss, I hope someone can help.
    Thank you in advance,
    Bradley.

    Hello

Temperatures are ok and shouldn't t be the reason for this problem. But in my opinion, you should always clean the laptop with a jet of compressed air. This could blow the dust from the cooling fans and you don't have to disassemble the laptop. You can buy this spray of each computer store.

But it would be interesting to know the outcome of the Memtest86. Have you tried this test doesn't show an error with RAM?

  • Satellite A10 - problem of the fan and processor speed

    Hello

Recently, my computer stops and overheated while clunked there fan who told me that I had to clean the fan and the heat sink. I have it done, replaced everything and then turned back on my computer. The fan seems fine now except that it only lights up for about a second and a half and then cuts off. While the computer on, it is not overheating but the fan just trying her continue again and again and again and turns off after a second or two. I think to compensate, the computer is running only a percentage of its capacity because on top the fan doesn't work does not correctly, the computer is running about 50 percent more slow it was 10 seconds before it overheated.

When I replaced the fan, I noticed that the card that turns the fan was wobbly, which would have something to do with it?

Assistance, alternatives or insight would be extremely appreciated.

    Best regards, Niko

    Hi mate,

In your case, it could be that the fan cable to the motherboard could be defective. Thus, you´ve has already removed it, just so it again, remove the fan and check if the cables and connectors are OK.

If the fan or the cable is damaged, then replace the fan. IMHO the bearings could be faulty too, so it's another reason to replace this fan (and the fan is really NOT very expensive)

If you need some parts, google for or ask an authorized parts service center:

  • XW6000 cooling fan and CPU connector issues

    XW6000 workstation, 2 x 3.06 Ghz Xeon processor, 4 GB RAM, Radeon X 1600 512 MB AGP, OS Windows 7 video card.

    Hello, all,.

I have a strange problem with this otherwise excellent camera. A couple of weeks, he has begun to close randomly and would usually start at the next attempt. I suspect the graphics card and replaced him as fans, cleaning the CPU fins cooling and re - apply CPU thermal paste. The computer was fine for a day or two and then become erratic, with the same symptoms as before. Then he refused to boot at all - the screen remains black, all the cooling fans would be out for a second, then rest static. I didn't hear any beep codes but the HD light was lit in green.

The PSU was then replaced by no effect. I went through the usual process of reinstalling components failure, removal/replacement RAM & other devices in order to see if they were the problem with no improvement. In all cases, the HD light would turn green for a second or two, the PSU/CPU fans would be like before kick and then the red light HD flash intervals of one second.

Finally I found the PSU and CPU fans would turn at maximum speed, when I disconnected the CPU power connector six pins. But of course the computer then wouldn't start. The left light shone right green and red.

The computer is now completely disassembled and I can't find anything obviously wrong (fade/broken) on the motherboard. Clearly, something is being short circuit when the power of the CPU is connected.

Is a new motherboard required or is there anything else I can try?

    Thanks in advance,

    esseff.

    It was the motherboard (again)!

I just set up the replacement for the replacement and everything works fine now. No problem with the revalidation of phone despite the change of the major component. Hope this helps someone with the same symptoms.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

  • How to clean the fan and vents on a HP dv7?

How can I go safely on the cleaning of the cover and the fan on my HP dv7?

    Hello:

What I do is first remove the battery and the power of a/c laptop computer.

Then I put a toothpick in the air intake fan and place it between the 2 fan blades to prevent the horror when I spray the bomb of compressed air in the ventilation Grill.

You never want overspin fan as it can ruin the bearings.

Then I spray the air through the vent system. In other words, I do first the fan, then through the exhaust pipe, then I do it once more each way.

If you can stand the laptop safely until at its end which would be the best that do not allow liquid to spray out. Waving the can in one position other that simple can cause liquid to come out instead of air.

  • Alienware CPU liquid cooling and fans and power supply on the new motherboard

  • DV7-1210eo Black Screen with CPU and graphic Error Codes

I'm running out of ideas on how repair this laptop so I thought I would ask here. Like so many other people with these portable mine seemed to go right after my warranty expires. I went to power on one day and he presented that a directed graph code error with a black screen. Instead of trying to fix the original slide myself I thought it would be best to just replace it. After the new Board of Directors came and I reassembled it all has been great to work for a few days. I went to power on one morning and he presented the same graphics code error as before. I then reset and tried again, but this time that he gave me the CPU error instead, after 15 seconds or later he would begin to switch between error a CPU and graphics. I assumed that the jury who sent was defective, so I sent a replacement. Once the replacement card has been installed it would always give me the same errors, sometimes it would be the graphics and other CPU.

I was told the jury that I sent worked great and replacement has been tested before it was sent, it even came with the results of the tests to check. I tried to replace the CPU and memory with a work known and same notebook AC adapter, which does not seem to help.

If anyone has any idea as to what could be the problem I would be acknowledging the entry.

    Thank you

I want to just update to anyone who seems to have the same problems as me.

I finally had time to replace the CPU and specifications works fine now. It seems the controller memory on the old CPU came out and was causing memory to not be detected properly and causing graphic errors. Before you spend money on a new motherboard, you may want to consider the processor as the problem.

Now if only I can figure out how to keep it from cooking itself...

    Thanks for all the help,

    Domo

    Hello

You can use any fan that will fit the heatsink. Make sure that it cools pretty processors AMD warms up more those Intel a good cooling is necessary. You could also buy a full set with a heat sink which suits your FM2 socket like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Hyper-212-120mm/dp/B0068OI7T8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384032717&sr=8-1&keywords=hyper+212+cpu+cooler

Just make sure that the case of Fund is large enough to hold the cooler in.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us fan hums when fast running

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us and within these last few months my laptop heats up enough easy and when the fan starts very quickly it will sound and it vibrates enough that I can feel it a little bit in the top left area of the laptop, the only way it stops is if I type this field quite difficult. I guess this means that bearings or something on the fan are slaughtered, and it must be replaced. I tried to clean the area fan of the best that I can (if there ever a lot of dust on the inside), but if I remember the last time I took apart, I can't make it very easily without removing the motherboard, so I have to clean the fan with the lid on. Is there a way to solve this problem, or if not, where can I get a new fan?

    Hello

Take a look at the service guide.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03043778.PDF

Your laptop must have a shared program Intel 3000 then choose the heatsink / fan for Intel UMA memory:

  • Stop the fan from the CPU in a few seconds (T440)

CPU fan stop my T440 after a few seconds,

When I turned computer on I heard his fan and air jet, but after a few seconds the fan seem to be collapsed, is this normal?

    Hello

In cooling mode active, while the CPU temperature is low (usually about 55 degrees), the fan is beeng rotation at low speed, about 2000 RPM. Good quality fan is very silent on this mode.

In any case, you could check if the fan is spinning by the hardware test tool, HWiNFO is an example.

Of course, once the laptop is on, the fan starts to work at the POST stage too.

  • T61 pulsing fan and "Fan Error" sometimes at startup

I have a T61 (7661 - 12G) which is a few years old now. I do not buy it again.

Recently, the fan started pulses at 1-2 second intervals from time to time a little. Also several times starting it is showing "fan error" and close immediately.

I did the usual thing (air duster, take it to bits and clean it properly), but this makes no difference.

I did some research and it seems to be a good idea to replace the fan and re-apply new thermal paste to the CPU.

This sounds like a reasonable approach, or are there other causes of this problem?

If it is not overheating then the heater works properly, so a fan is all you need. It in, I would replace the thermal compound with Arctic Silver, it's much better then the dough of the plant which tends to dry out and crumble after a few years.
