HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us fan hums when fast running

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us and within these last few months my laptop heats up enough easy and when the fan starts very quickly it will sound and it vibrates enough that I can feel it a little bit in the top left area of the laptop, the only way it stops is if I type this field quite difficult. I guess this means that bearings or something on the fan are slaughtered, and it must be replaced. I tried to clean the area fan of the best that I can (if there ever a lot of dust on the inside), but if I remember the last time I took apart, I can't make it very easily without removing the motherboard, so I have to clean the fan with the lid on. Is there a way to solve this problem, or if not, where can I get a new fan?

Hello

Take a look at the service guide.

http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03043778.PDF

Your laptop must have a shared program Intel 3000 then choose the heatsink / fan for Intel UMA memory:

  • Need old BIOS for HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us which has BIOS installed F.19. I want to try an older version of the BIOS if possible. Can someone please post links to the old BIOS for this laptop. Laptop was purchased in the United States.

Downgrade bios procedure advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi all
When I posted my original question, only bios F19 is available for download. I checked the HP website again today and to my surprise now previous two versions of the bios are also available for download.

In case a person at HP has decided to post links to older versions of the bios after reading these forums, then its totally awesome. I am impressed.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us - no sound

    Pavilion dv7-6b32us Win 7 64 bit.

There is no sound from the internal speakers.  Last update of IDT Audio received 11/3.  Didn't notice any sound shortly after this.  OBD reported no sound internal speakers.  Do I need an updated driver?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp58001-58500/sp58226.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  • Bluetooth on HP-Pavilion-dv7-6b32us

I try to connect headphones for my laptop HP-Pavilion-dv7-6b32us. I have two different models that I'm trying to connect to my laptop: Nextware Sonic and Järv, both through bluetooth headphones.  I tried "Add a device" via the Control Panel, but the devices don't pair or appear.  I can not find bluetooth in the Device Manager.  Are there any drivers, I can download the software on the computer I can activate for this problem or I have to buy a bluetooth dongle?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

The specifications do not indicate that your model has bluetooth so yes, if you want, you'll have to get a dongle.

    HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us laptop

Start-up took like 15 minutes so I did some diagnostics and received a failure id QC6C51-5R67HW-QFPH4K-402BO3

The operating system could be zero, but not sure.

What is the error? Can't seem to find anything online. Very much appreciate your help.

    Thank you!

It seems that the hard drive has failed/is a failure and should be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If this is not the case, a laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can use a 750 GB hard drive, but not a 320 GB hard drive.

  • HP Pavilion DV7 turns off suddenly when running

I sincerely hope that you can help me or point me please in the direction from where can I get support for this problem.

I bought a HP Pavilion DV7 - 3180us Entertainment Notebook to the United States in 2010.  I now live in England.

My problem is that my laptop keeps turning off randomly without warning.

Is my product number: WA718UA #ABA, my OS is Windows 7 64 bit.

I ran each test component (HP System Diagnostics), all items sent with the exception of the hard.

My test log shows the following error codes:

    PLQ36M-53L6M6-XD002J-Q2BX03

    PLQ36M-53L6M6-XD002J-61BK03

    PLQ36M-53L6M6-XD002J-61TT03

    PLQ36M-53L6M6-XD002J-61TT03

    PLQ36M-53L6M6-XD002J-60 CT 03

    My BIOS:

    F.1D, 10/05/2010

I bought and tried a new battery, but this does not resolve the issue.

(Any time), I use a Cooler Master NotePal U3 Laptop Cooler with fans positioned where my laptop gets hotter (down the laptop, when the laptop is in its normal in good position, the hot zone going from the upper left corner (about where is the power button), to down to about the caps lock key; the width of the side left on the F3 key). (This also does not resolve the issue.)

I'm looking forward to your reply.

Finally got support from HP (for some reason, my phone and my other half phone just kept to end the call when I tried to call, even if we had enough credit, could finally operate using Skype as Skype allows free 1-800 numbers even if you use Skype from the United Kingdom).

In case it helps someone else out there he said:

Only the fact that I have recently updated my BIOS would help with overheating problems. Any overheating problems that I knew could not be due to (for example) the motherboard or graphics card, etc. That it may be wise to have my radiator and fan replaced.

Mainly: (no surprises) should I have my hard drive replaced ($155 - $200).

For a person living in the United States the total costs (disk hard, heat sink and fan) would be $ 200 to $ 300 (cost of labor and shipping included).

  • Compatible WiFi / Bluetooth combo card for Pavilion dv7-6b32us laptop computer?

    Hello

I want to replace the broadcom WiFi (b/g/n) with a combo (WiFi / bluetooth) card in my HP pavilion laptop dv7-6b32us;  preferably with one that supports the frequencies a/g/n.

I know I can install only cards that are supported in the bios. Can someone tell me please to the list of the WiFi cards supported by the bios of my laptop?

    Thank you.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03043778.PDF

Support without wireless/bluetooth combo cards with HP part numbers are in Chapter 3, page 29.

Pleaee be careful since you have an Intel processor, look at the list of cards for all models or just models of Intel.

I can tell you that there is no double card band supported. The 6230 listed Intel is incorrect. It's the wrong part number and if you order this part, you get either an intel or 1000 ralink card. Person on this forum or at HP knows that the correct reference number unfortunately.

You can install one of the supported cards and it must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.

  • How can I identify the correct wireless and ethernet on my computer card hp pavilion dv7-6b32us laptop?

No software is identify them correctly and I can't not all drivers on the support page to work.

    Hello:

These drivers are for Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium OS that is installed on your PC:

First install the Intel chipset driver and reboot:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-100315-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=4063&Product=5189524&sw_lang=

You have the Broadcom WLAN 4313.

It is the latest version of the driver for him:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3688868&swItem=ob-100089-1&mode=5

The second is your Realtek card reader driver

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-100221-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=4063&Product=5189524&sw_lang=

The next one is the driver of your IMEI:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-100239-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=4063&Product=5189524&sw_lang=

Then is your USB 3.0 controller:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-99763-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=4063&Product=5189524&sw_lang=

The first unknown device is your fingerprint sensor.

The second, in my view, is your HARD drive protection sensor: there is no driver for this on the support page, so try this one.
