HP dv9000 Power Up Cycling

My HP Pavilion dv9308nr notebook PC will try to power for about 20 seconds (all of the lights on) and then stop for about 1 second then repeat the cycle.

Regardless of the stop mode.  Strangely enough, it almost never happens time, probably 9 out of 10.

There are TWO ways to get out of this cycle.

1. quickly press the F10 key at initial startup which stops at the stop after 20 seconds. The screen remains black. I usually wait more than 20 seconds to ensure that the closure is not the case. THEN, turn off the power switch. WAIT 5 seconds. Turn on the power switch. The PC start just as it is supposed to.

2. turn the power switch. Unplug the charger. Remove the battery. Waiting (I usually it give 20-30 seconds). Install the batteries. Install the charger. Turn on the power switch. The PC start just as it is supposed to.

Any body got a fix for this problem?

Followed my problem a little.

Other symptoms began to appear on my system which were:

Once the system has been started successfully, it would operate normally during various periods of time and then freeze - the iconcs could be turned on but neither the keyboard, touchpad, or external mouse would respond. To recover, I would go through the same procedure as described above.

I had read about a problem with the cooling on the HP Pavilion all and installed heat sync SPECCY of PIRIFORM on this system to monitor operating parameters. Among the readings showed the CPU operating between 60 and 65 degrees celsius and the graphics GeForce operating between 80 and 85 degrees. My research listed these in normal limits, so I ignored it even if I thought that it seemed too hot.

I finally bought a motherboard renovated with synchronization of heat changed with additional cooling fins.

Installed card mother and everything works fine.

Temperatures? CPU 40 - 45 degrees celsius and graphics 60-65 degrees celsius, a cooler on each lot of 20 degrees.

Heat my original problem? OR was there another hardware problem?

GISH! I do not know.  I am running normal and I am happy.

Just thought I'd share.

Here's the question with my new HP7520 all-in-one.

I need leave it on in case I get a fax.  And it does not power on himself if it is disabled.

It's about two times more than an hour without apparent reason, even in the middle of the night.

    The ink tank is full.

It will be random wake mode 'sleep' and go through the exact same sequence when everything works.  (Head of circle, tones and printer made a lot of noise).  The PC says "scan of the computer is no longer active.

It seems so 2 tones that wireless is active again.

    Resets hard/Full/Semi complete

With or without telephone lines hung

Connected to the PC by USB and wireless

Connected directly to the wall and the backup battery

I have been through all the troubleshooting with HP and have had no success.

    30 fax 74772

Someone of experience and solve this problem?  Your contribution is appreciated.

It is possible that a device on your network communicate periodically to the printer, causing it to wake up. Disbling the UPnP can help in this matter. I see that the question has not reappeared.  Please observe the behavior of a few days and I would like to know if it indeed solved the problem.

Disable uPnP does not affect the functionality of the printer, you will be able to print from the Tablet and iPhone.

  • UP3214Q REV02 - all windows resized to 1024 x 786 and moved to the top left after the power monitor cycle

    Hello

I recently got a model REV02 my REV01 developed a fault. However, it seems as if these screens maintain their unwilligness to allow us to save energy by turning off the screen when you need a bathroom, coffee break or something else. Whenever you turn off the screen, then turn on again (be it a few seconds later, or minutes to hours later), all open windows will be resized to 1024 x 786 pixels and placed in the upper left corner of the screen.

This happens on the Intel cards and nVidia (GTX780TI on 347.52, intel Hd4400 on 15.36.14.4080 drivers drivers). I went throug the playbook together to offer the GFX card, so reset screen, remove the drivers with uninstalling the driver and perform a drive clean reinstall, and swapping the cables (I have a bunch of cables apprived dell when they initially did not want to send me an A01 to set half of the image & had the A00 sleep problems). Happens DP1.1 and DP1.2 mode, and it happens 10 times out of 10.

Anyone with a UP3214Q who sees this behavior as well? BTW, this is my 3rd unit of REVA02, they all exhibit the same behavior (exchanges were not made because of that, but it confirms that the problem is not related to a defective unit).

    See you soon

It is a common problem among the monitors UHD, a lot of posts here about it - they take longer to wake up causing the driver GFX their definition to a safe lower resolution before them at their native resolution. The latest 14.2 AMD drivers seek to correct this problem, and you will probably see the same kind of difficulty in the future of the drivers from NVidia and Intel.

In the meantime, if you use Dell Display Manager (DDM) and are comfortable editing the registry, try to add the "RestoreWindowLayout" value to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EnTech\DDM and set it to 1 (dword).

You will need to have the latest version of DDM (b.1554) for this to work; Hold down the SHIFT key while right-clicking on the DDM notification icon and select "Check for new version" in the context menu.

  • data battery iPhone use 6 missing

I don't know when it started or how long it spent, since it is not a setting that I check very often.

I have an iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.2.  I just realized that battery usage data are missing completely.  It just says: 'battery information will be available after using the iPhone for a few minutes, and then he simply does not appear.  I turned the phone works a couple of times.   I spent all the apps in use, etc.

I'm NOT going to reset the device around this issue... I had enough problems with the whole line iPhone 6 (I'm on my third).  I would like just a simple fix... or a way to submit a bug report to Apple.

    Thank you!

To collect the data of the phone battery must be fully charged and then allowed to run for several hours. Whenever you power it cycle the process starts over. So if you keep the power cycling it you don't you use battery information.

  • Workstation XW4300: xw4300 will not work with the recommended graphics card (Nvidia Quadro FX 3400)

I installed a graphics card hoping to update my computer.  The Nvidia Quadro FX 3400 was the highest assigned

graphics card recommended for the workstation xw4300 system HP specifications page.  My system

has a 460W power supply and I connected the cable 6-pin on the map and the map pins in the PCIe x 16 slot where

    the old card was.

When I turned on the machine, I don't have even get a bios message or welcome screen.  All black.  But on all 10

seconds, the power would cycle off and then come back.  HP says that this map is supposed to work with my machine!

This card appears, making it non-functional.

    Any ideas?

I ended up going with the Nvidia Quadro FX 1400 card.  He is listed as 75W and the map of 'medium' recommended for this xw4300 system.  I paid 10 dollars for it on eBay and it works great.  Do not use the Quadro FX 3400 map even if it is recommended by HP for this machine.  Food can't support.

A witch hunt.  Equipment old and new software don't always play nice.  My machine has a new installation of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on it, and running Windows Experience Index gives me the blue screen of death.  I put a meter on the power during the test problems... No..  It's a kind of driver incompatibility.  Win 7 says that the driver is the last, but he chokes on the

test the index.  Funny irony is that I ran other tests which include benchmarking 3D rendering and nothing, but the Microsoft Windows Experience Index test stifles this card.  How about you do not run the Microsoft test to improve my Windows experience.  :/  Go figure.

This card is older hardware, and because of that I don't have hope than Nvidia or Microsoft to make Windows experience test runs correctly with win7 64 OS.  Sounds like HP.

Here's the kudo: the guy on eBay who I bought the card quickly refunded my money when he learned about the Blue error screen of death in Windows performance index test, so I did a free card.  I'll send her money

Back to him.  I've never met anyone so accommodating.  These companies could take a lesson from that on what customer service means.  That's how you get regular customers.

  • battery drains more than 50% of the overnight just in mode 'sleep'

I got the macbook pro retina display since Dec. 4... so its been 17 days only.  I woke up this morning to find my laptop battery to 33 percent, after going to sleep with him to 87% in mode 'sleep'.  I did some research and that you turn off bluetooth and a bunch of other battery conservation settings... yet quickly drains... I recently just reset the SMC. Wanted to just ask and see if theres anything else I can do or if I have to take for watching.

looking at my battery info in system information shows that my battery is on cycle count 7. is it normal to have only the laptop 17 days? It seems a little high... not sure whether there is interest. Ive had only to load 4 or 5 times since to get it. Should I consider for watching?

Any info or help would be appreciated

  • PCI DAQ cards are suitable for 24 x 7?

I have an application that must run non-stop for 6 to 8 months.

Its a bench of Endurance for the bike a solenoid and the tracing of the switch ON / OFF times. The main code (LV 2009) runs in a loop of material timed 10ms.  With a pulse frequency of about 1 Hz, I need to cycle for about 20 million times. (There no missing iteration as the average is 4-5 ms only.)

Using cards PCI-6229 and 6514 PCI inside an industrial PC of Advantech and running on the platform of WIN - 7.

So far the system has worked for about 3 weeks without problems. Will this work for the rest of the period?  In other words the my approach is correct with the mentioned combination H/W and LV2009? Or if a RTOS with cRIO more fit here?

    Thank you

Long-term running test can be very difficult!  There's just too many things that can hurt-outages, failures, operator errors or managers even drop a cup of coffee in the set-up (trust me, its happened).

When I met this requirement type, I try to think about how "Fail" the system so that, even if the PC blows up I can recover the data and to continue the experiment.  In your case, it does not sound as if each of the cycles of 20 M is absolutely necessary.  You could still learn about the lifecycle of the solenoids of the trends in the data.  I guess that you are interested in breaking in, long term trends and indicators of end of LIFE.  If logging of regularrly with an additional event log data (event: arrested - power faulure cycles 10,787,690 complete system to YY/MM/DD/HH: mmS etc.) would probably keep any conclusion you draw valid data analyses.

But most of that is software design requirement and design for the fault tolerance.  Material list you seems appropriate for this experience (and close enough that I can tell from the spec limited discription, I have focused on for this type of solution).

  • How to set the time difference between each data when using keithley 2400 scanning

    Hello friends,

I use scanning Keithley vi the extent of SCANNING and acquire vi. I want to measure the voltage for each step and a pause between each two data, so I need a delay between each I step.

I'm a starter to use Labview, thank you very much for your answers.

    Perry

As Dennis says, if you use the built-in scan function, you will need to consult the manual. See Section 10-16 (this is page 10 of article 16, only paragraphs not but 10, 16) for the manual Keithley 2400.

The Keithley 24xx series has a speed of measurement in units called PLC (Power Line Cycles). The default speed is 1PLC, which means a measure is taken with each cycle of line 1 power supply or 1/60th of a second (16.67ms). 24XX can range from 0.01 PLC (all 0.16ms) 10 PLC (all 166.6ms). The faster you measure, the less accuracy you get.

To programmatically set this value, the command is

    ENSe:CURRent:NPLCycles

    ENSe:VOLTage:NPLCycles

Depending on what you are sensing and where is the number of controllers from 0.01 to 10.

Another factor that will determine the time between data points is the cycle SDM. These are more complicated, look at your Keithley manual for more information. Look at article 6 and article 11 for more information.

    Note:

PLC times are based on a cycle of 60 Hz US.
