  • The change of motherboard Pavillion DV9500 - compatibility

    Hello

I have a computer portable pavilion DV9500 (code dv9541ev), and as usual for these series, the NVIDIA GPU failed. I got scratches on the screed and the resolution is 640 x 480.  I tried reformatting the chip bad using a heatgun, but I made it worse. Now I think to replace the motherboard. I find many of them on Ebay, but I think that they all are reorganized and I'll end up the same question soon. The reference number of the motherboard is 447982-001.

I noticed that there are also similar motherboards, not having is not the NVIDIA chip, but the integrated INTEL graphics card. The one I found has p/n 447984-001.

I was wondering if this motherboard can replace my original one, to have the Intel graphics instead of an Nvidia chip that failed on most people. Both motherboards can use the same Intel processor, from the pictures, I see that they have the same connectors etc. The only difference I see is that the other doesn't have the NVIDIA chip welded. I enclose also a few pictures.

Does anyone have knowledge on this issue. Any help will be much appreciated

    .

    Kind regards

    Konstantinos

Yes it works perfectly. The mounting holes are in the same place. You could end up with an empty port or must use a dremel tool to open a small hole on the side, but the Commission will work very well.

I see mine laptop with 2 GB of ram, startup, there are already 90% used.

You have a lot of questions here. Firstly, Yes, the connector of the drive hard eBay is the right and it will work on any SATA including SSD drive. I think the DV9500 and more it is SATA 2 (3 gb/s) interface, but it's not really important. A 60 GB SSD will not be enough space.

HP does not have updates of driver for this machine for quite a while. I wouldn't too much stock in these update pilot programs that you download from the Internet. Indeed, they often contain spyware that could explain why you have high CPU utilization. If you can give me the exact model number or at least tell me if it is an AMD or Intel version we can get better drivers. The pilots of two wholesale to be aware of are the chipset and video drivers. If you have the AMD driver chipset nVidia processor must be specifically responsible. Windows it will not pick up. You definitely need at least 4 GB of RAM, and Yes, you use the DDR2-800 SO-DIMM. Also, you should install 64-bit Windows 7.

Easy to replace. Just return the laptop and look for a screw in the center of the bottom panel. It will have an icon of disk beside him. Remove the screw and slide the drive.

  • MIC not working not not DV9500

I have a HP Pavilion dv9500 CTO. It is built with Vista when I updated to Windows 7 (32 bit) when it was released.

I have since then not needed my computers microphone until recently. I use Skype for various purposes. I just found out that the microphones (there are two on each side of the webcam) do not work. I remember their work in games with voice chat when I am running vista.

Since upgrading to Windows 7, I made sure all my drivers are correct and functional.  I tried to upgrade and downgrade my Realtek HD Audio Drivers to operate.

It seems that the microphones have an entry in the system since the sound indicators for each appear to move slowly but do not respond to my voice or loud noises around them. I think that I'd work for a minute or two and then something happened and they have not worked since.

Can I use a headset usb on the system and it works like a charm. I have not tried but seizes a microphone in the microphone jack, because I've not owned a plug in microphone since the beginning of the 2000s

If there are ideas on how get the microphones to work please don't hesitate no help!

    Thank you

    Hello:

If you let Windows install the audio driver, it is sometimes incomplete - which means that it works speakers, but sometimes other components such the microphone will not work.

I have a desktop HP dc7600 PC business. When it was XP, internal PC speaker worked. When I upgraded to W7, if I connected speakers, they worked.  However, if I unplugged the speakers, internal PC speaker did not work. I worried really, except that I don't like when things do not work as it is supposed to.

So I visited the Realtek site and downloaded the latest driver W7 in time and he fixed the internal speaker, not to work.

According to the specifications of the system for your laptop, you have the HD Realtek audio chip, correct?

If so, try to download and install the latest Realtek HD audio driver from the Realtek site directly.

Accept the agreement, download and install the driver of first or second on the list depending on what version of bit to W7 you have installed.

When I turn on my laptop dv9500, I get black screen. However, when I move the screen upwards and downwards several times or hitting the bottom of screen Panel with my finger a few times, it happens.

I tested the battery, it seemed to be ok.  However, when I tested with my external monitor, nothing cam upward at all despite what I have on my laptop screen. Suggestions for my problem would be appreciated! My warranty expired 5 months ago. My guess is the video card, but I'm not sure.

    Thank you

  • Smart printing does not print all the image highlighted using IE 9 on my computer laptop dv9500

Recently, I load IE 9 on my laptop dv9500. Operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit, I found that I could not now use the smart printing software that came with my printer HP Deskjet F4210 software and that I needed to upgrade. I did the upgrade, but now I find that often the application of smart printing print only that 1/2 the area highlighted horizontally on the screen.

  • I AM USING WITH MY HP DV9500/9650US screen problem READ FOR more DETAILS

I thought that posting this here because my response was the way down on page 63 of the original post for those of us with problems screen with dv9500/9600 models.  Mine has 2 stickers, 9500 and 9650u, so I don't know who to call, that did not matter because I have had contact with the best guy, as far as I am concerned HP!  Mathew Camden offered a solution that I could live with and not let me for the full price of the repairs.  In addition, I got a full extended warranty for a year!  Slow to come, but I could tell that Mathew "has me" when I tried to explain what is happening here.  Apparently, HE's the guy (or one of) talk while HP understands that there is a big problem.  I give more information on how to get help below.  The drop box must be here in 2 days.  I am happy that I was seriously looking at new laptops.  My thought was that Dell has some laptops starting at $ 500 and, although not as nice as the model that we have, at least, it would be in working condition.  Not that I want to spend this money right now, but I was running short of choice.  I'm happy that I don't have a car, the truth is, I LIKE really this laptop until he started running slow and finally 'crapped' as my husband says.

"Ok, I had some success.  I hope this helps the rest of you.  Here is what happened:

First of all, I called 1-866-671-7362.  No good resolution.  Was transferred to the "Mark", who refused to give me any help or even transfer me to anyone who could possibly.  He kept repeating that my laptop was out of warranty.  Well, I know that, we all do!  I told him about what was happening on this forum, and he continued to be indifferent to issues that these customers have.  I called back, thinking I could get a new person.  I asked to speak with a case manager once again, I specifically said the person that I didn't "Mark" once again because the conversation was not good.  Well, guess who I had once again, "Mark."  You don't have to bother with them, he does not support it.  I don't think that the Center to this number is still here in the USA, but in India, it's why THEY don't CARE, that many find.

After some research, I called 1-800-756-0608, option 7They ARE in the custody of the United States and ILS DON'T.  I was greeted by a very nice lady, I forgot her name but she was in the Executive Service.  I was transferred to Mathew Camden and he HELPED me!  I told her about this forum and everyone here having the same problem right about 18 months after the purchase.  He presented a very reasonable and fair offer.  He offered to sell me an extended warranty for a total of $162,29 and then dealt with a free repair under this warranty.  This warranty is for 1 full year.  I am satisfied.  If only I had taken this answer at first.  It took me over a month to get the right answer, but I'm glad that I stuck to it.  Because I have a full warranty for one year from today, I am happy with the price tag of $162,29.  If she died this year here, I can get it fixed.  It covers ANY matter coming more than telephone support!

Apparently, you must be able to get to the right person.  Problem is that people of "other number" don't give me that information and I felt "stuck" and extremely frustrated, angry to be honest.  I guess this is my next question, how the average person knows "good number" to get their issue handled.  Fortunately, I came across it.  I'm writing it here for all people in the same situation to get help.

MATHEW THANKS! He gave me his direct number and let me know he will personally supervise this repair and make sure that it goes as it should!  It does not help redeem HP slightly.  HP is a great company and it's just a guy.  To bad, they no longer have 'Matthews' at the end of the phone.  I'll just make sure to cling to this department number, in case I decide to buy HP in the future.  Wow, what a difference a single appeal filed. »

    Hey Carollinagal

do a safe mode system restore to before the problem

    ·

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. reboot your computer.

    2. when the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with the Boot Options Advanced Windows Vista.

    3. Select theSafe Mode option with the arrow keys.

    4. pressenter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.

    5. when Windows starts, you will be at a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.

6 do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

and change the way you receive updates

do not part of microsoft 3rd hardware drivers download

You can find them in the hardware or the computer manufacturer, because it can be a graphic driver problem

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial140.html

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

  • Please help me with the DRIVERS. [HP pavilion dv900/dv9500/dv9605ea]

    Right. Hello guys!

I did a downgrade, and while the XP installation went well. I can't get the correct drivers necessary.

Looking at the HP computer, it says "HP Pavilion dv9000"on the upper right side of the screen. However, on the underside of the laptop if there is the following information:

    "Product: HP pavilion dv9500 .

    Serial number XXXX XXX x

    P/n 959EA #ABU GZ

    "Maintain the label: dv9605ea"

I tried all the drivers for each of these sets, but they all seem to be evil.

In the Device Manager, all deivces in 'Other devices' do not work - I know that this is due to the lack of driver. [Audio processor co, ethernet controller, devide bus High definition Audio, device modem on high definition audio, sm bus controller and video controller bus]

Now my question is this - where can I get the right drivers I am after please? What model number is also my pc exactly?

Moreover, mine comes with an Amd 64 athlon X 2 and Nvidia graphics [driver for Nvidia graphics required too please]

I would appreciate your help please. I didn't know that decommissioning will be this much pain.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion dv9500 is BIOS 3 SSD support?

    Hello

I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv 9500, soundcards 7, requiring a sata HARD disk replacement 3. I decided to upgrade to SSD 250 GB instead.

I realized that I can reuse my connector and caddy but would like to know the steps that I should go through to transfer my oprating system and if the Bios unit supports the SSD.

    Concerning

    Hello

I don't see a problem in using a SATA 3 with your DV9500.  I have used and tested three SSD (Samsung EVO, OCZ Vertex 3 and Crucial C300) on my DV9700.

Back up your data and the external support of HP Recovery allows to recharge the SSD.  The whole process is quite painless.

  • external video card to fix the dv9500 screen

  • BIOS problem on dv9500

I got a CTO dv9500z who owns a F32 BIOS flashed to her. This BIOS, as far as I know, was never for this laptop. When I try to update to all of the BIOS that are listed for that laptop they all, F40, 41 and 42 all say no to this computer. I also leave HPs auto detect seeking what the laptop model is and it is the same model, dv9500z CTO.

I also checked the model # in the BIOS / the current configuration and it is CC958AV #ABA, product # CC958AV and # of series is CNF7371DWV. It lists Factory OS like Vista and I use XP via general Downgrade in this forum. I did the Downgrade several times and it has always. All the tests on the CPU, GPU and HARD drive were made and show no problem. The machine will start and run with the F32, but it isn't fair!

I have a few problems, mainly to the battery charge, I do know that the correct BIOS will set. I tried to use the "Phoenix-valorization of crisis" with the BIOS. WPH loaded on the disk instead of the BIOS. WPH which comes with the tool and I enter the BIOS recovery mode BUT the projector MUST enter and the floppy works, but he just made a race of 2 min. from NOISY system beeps and does not Flash new BIOS F42.

So the question is... Does anyone know a way to remove the F32 is obviously bad BIOS, because HP never put on any of the dv9500 I know and then flash the F42? I'm sure that the data contained in the F32 are what causes the F42 Error 'machine wrongly' report.

Thank you and cheers for any help.

The dv9000 series had some previous versions of BIOS, but HP taken down after the most recent publication. Mainly because later versions, stop the fan at high speed in order to avoid problems of overheating and failure of the material in this line & they don't want the owners to go back to earlier versions.

I don't know why the newer versions fail to Flash, but the F32 is a previous legitimate version, AFAIK.

Have you tried a new battery to see if it will charge?
