I AM USING WITH MY HP DV9500/9650US screen problem READ FOR more DETAILS

I thought that posting this here because my response was the way down on page 63 of the original post for those of us with problems screen with dv9500/9600 models.  Mine has 2 stickers, 9500 and 9650u, so I don't know who to call, that did not matter because I have had contact with the best guy, as far as I am concerned HP!  Mathew Camden offered a solution that I could live with and not let me for the full price of the repairs.  In addition, I got a full extended warranty for a year!  Slow to come, but I could tell that Mathew "has me" when I tried to explain what is happening here.  Apparently, HE's the guy (or one of) talk while HP understands that there is a big problem.  I give more information on how to get help below.  The drop box must be here in 2 days.  I am happy that I was seriously looking at new laptops.  My thought was that Dell has some laptops starting at $ 500 and, although not as nice as the model that we have, at least, it would be in working condition.  Not that I want to spend this money right now, but I was running short of choice.  I'm happy that I don't have a car, the truth is, I LIKE really this laptop until he started running slow and finally 'crapped' as my husband says.

First of all, I called 1-866-671-7362.  No good resolution.  Was transferred to the "Mark", who refused to give me any help or even transfer me to anyone who could possibly.  He kept repeating that my laptop was out of warranty.  Well, I know that, we all do!  I told him about what was happening on this forum, and he continued to be indifferent to issues that these customers have.  I called back, thinking I could get a new person.  I asked to speak with a case manager once again, I specifically said the person that I didn't "Mark" once again because the conversation was not good.  Well, guess who I had once again, "Mark."  You don't have to bother with them, he does not support it.  I don't think that the Center to this number is still here in the USA, but in India, it's why THEY don't CARE, that many find.

After some research, I called 1-800-756-0608, option 7They ARE in the custody of the United States and ILS DON'T.  I was greeted by a very nice lady, I forgot her name but she was in the Executive Service.  I was transferred to Mathew Camden and he HELPED me!  I told her about this forum and everyone here having the same problem right about 18 months after the purchase.  He presented a very reasonable and fair offer.  He offered to sell me an extended warranty for a total of $162,29 and then dealt with a free repair under this warranty.  This warranty is for 1 full year.  I am satisfied.  If only I had taken this answer at first.  It took me over a month to get the right answer, but I'm glad that I stuck to it.  Because I have a full warranty for one year from today, I am happy with the price tag of $162,29.  If she died this year here, I can get it fixed.  It covers ANY matter coming more than telephone support!

Apparently, you must be able to get to the right person.  Problem is that people of "other number" don't give me that information and I felt "stuck" and extremely frustrated, angry to be honest.  I guess this is my next question, how the average person knows "good number" to get their issue handled.  Fortunately, I came across it.  I'm writing it here for all people in the same situation to get help.

He gave me his direct number and let me know he will personally supervise this repair and make sure that it goes as it should!  It does not help redeem HP slightly.  HP is a great company and it's just a guy.  To bad, they no longer have 'Matthews' at the end of the phone.  I'll just make sure to cling to this department number, in case I decide to buy HP in the future.  Wow, what a difference a single appeal filed. »

  • Help! Cannot save the audio intelligible using AP 10 Audio (Please read for more details)

    I am trying to record audio by using the Audio recording feature in Adobe Presenter 10. I'm using a USB microphone, but when I try to record, all I get is a lot of confusing noise. I tried recording using the parameters of "Mic" both "Line In", but neither yields anything intelligible (although the option of audio product line is just a little more intelligible). When I use the Mic setting and the box to "Check the input level", nothing happens to the "meter" as I read the test sentence - it seems that AP 10 does not recognize that I have even a connected microphone.

    But here, this is where it gets particularly weird... I have no problem recording beautiful acoustic clear using this same microphone when I use the function of video recording of AP 10! Certainly, this does not seem to use some sort of separate component 'Add-on', but, again, if this component can recognize my mic, why not request 'base' of Adobe Presenter? (I also have no problems to import audio files, but it is something else entirely.)

    Unfortunately, my company is not subscribe to an Adobe service contract (they are insanely expensive for what maybe once or twice a year thing) and I'm not allowed to buy a single support call (also very expensive). So, I hope that someone here might be able to help me, how I have helped so many people on similar forums in the past... I hope above all a kind of quick response, I am supposed to do the demonstration of this software to several potential buyers of this software in my organization and they are particularly interested in this specific feature piece (since they use AP to register a nickname-"podcasts" that employees can access from our Adobe server).

    P.S. If it helps, I use a laptop Lenovo running Windows 7 and uses Adobe Presenter 10 with PowerPoint 2010. I use a Plantronics DSP400 USB microphone (which, as I said, works very well with the AP video recording application).

    Okay - problem solved. Here is what happened this morning...

    I started my computer cool (as I do every morning... I always stopped at night). I plugged my microphone before start PowerPoint at all. I started to PowerPoint, grew up in the presentation, I wanted to do the test recording on and you click on the folder option in the Audio section. This time, while the level control came and I talked, it was record green so I thought, "Yay - fixed problem! Not so fast... When in fact I recorded something and played again, it was still confusing and unnecessary. Then I thought: "maybe he's still looking to pick up the audio from the built-in microphone, rather than the USB microphone," so I pressed the button muting the microphone on my laptop (hardware button). I noticed presenter thingy recorder shows the mute symbol, who confirmed that he thought it was the microphone should I use (even if, in the settings, I had the USB microphone than 'active'). So I went to the control panel sound and actually disabled the microphone press the mute mic (that I had supported before) equipment to uncheck the mute. Then when I returned in the presenter and tried to save again, voila!, it actually saved my USB microphone and everything was kitties and rainbows!

    So, if someone else is the same problem and reading this thread (which is the main reason I came here to document all of this), the solution is in fact completely disable the microphone and, possibly, also make sure to connect your USB microphone before launching PowerPoint. (Not 100% sure that the second part is necessary, but it certainly cannot hurt...)

    When you choose a webcam for use with host character, should what features I look for in the webcam? For example, choose the one that captures full HD (1080 p)? Or any webcam will work? I just want to be able to make the motion capture process as easy as possible, so I think I must look over the webcam plug before you buy.

    Any webcam should work, but a higher resolution can improve the accuracy of tracking. Adequate/same lighting on your face is too important.

    You have apparent dbx file corruption. A common problem.
     
    Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.
     
    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
     
    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.
     
    With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.
     
    After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.
     
    Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    This type of error can be caused if the Visual C++ library runtime components are missing or because of a third-party software.

    Follow the steps below:

    This error can occur when the Microsoft .NET Framework installation on the computer is damaged or is missing.

After you restore the laptop with success, I noticed that a lot of things was a bit outdated and decided to update to make it compatible with the latest security patches as well as the latest corrections of bugs or upgrade to SP2 etc, however as soon as the update and turn on the laptop from time to time display kept going funny is black and white and would not display whatever this either clearly in which I had to keep forcing the laptop to close with the help of the power button in which I do not do as this will damage the hard drive later, however when researching this problem on the Internet I came across this thread in forum http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f108/hp-g7000-screen-issue-529809.html using Google describes a very similar problem for me , the problem not only seems to be with tilt angle of the screen, but also the surface in which the unit is placed down on, I tried different surfaces, including my fan USB cooler, glass and wood and produce different results from time to time. So I guess the answer is to put the camera on a surface flat which is not brilliant and screen doesn't tilt not when you use the laptop? I thought that was intended to make mobile no matter what surface you place the unit on the calculation of a laptop and what angle you have screen. Your comments and suggestions would be very appreciated.

I also suspect that the problem is related to interference and lighting conditions as well as conditions of heating and battery as the battery sometimes hold a charge while sometimes, it isn't and should use the AC adapter when this happens, do not know if the BIOS flashing contributed to the battery hold a charge well.

    I understand that your laptop have a problem with the screen display as well as the maintenance of a charge with the battery, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

    To further diagnose the integrity of your computer's battery, I advise you to follow this document on the calibration of the battery for laptop (Windows Vista). This should help to re - sync with your laptop battery.

    Because the screen is intermittently on the screen when moved to a certain angle, I think that the display panel cables are defective. According to Service and Maintenance Guide for your computer, this part can be replaced with a camera (462455-001) or without (454932-001) and you will find multiple sellers below:

    I had this problem since the first part of January 2011. I use a dial-up connection, I have windows vista home Premium 32 bit. I can click on the internet icon on my desktop what the little box that has a checkbox to automatically connect to the internet, the diallog which is supposed to have the name of the internet connection is empty, it tries even to compose, but he does not open the port to dial an outside line. All the time I have a tick on my tab internet connections dial options each time that a network connection is not present or always dial my connection default slot choose settings if you need to configure a proxy server for a connection, it will not work on one, I can manually connect using of these (one at a time) but every time I click on the internet icon does not recognize a connection already exists, I get this message telling me that I need to connect to the cause of the internet, I work in offline mode. Whenever I get that message I click on connect to go online then it trying to connect automatically by calling and then I get this message, it cannot establish a dial-up access and still it does not open the port to dial an outside line.

    I can connect manually using the same connection and put the check box on the never dial a connection under select parameters if you need to configure a proxy server for a connection on the connections to internet options tab and I don't have a problem connecting to the internet. I did a reset and set up a new connection and that didn't work either.

    The Connection Wizard recalled the correct information, it was not correct that then I would not use this same computer online now. The reason is that I am currently using the same computer that has the problem of not being able to connect to internet automatically online. This same computer that has the problem of not being able to connect to the internet automatically, it will connect manually using exactly the same ISP configuration by routing the connection in order to never establish a connection on the internet connections tab options, while I'm on dial upward, it is assumed to be always dial my default connection under choose settings If you need to configure a proxy server.

  • External hard drive for use with FCPX Thunderbolt

    I got a new iMac, but the SSD in it's tiny, so I need to invest in an external drive at least some of TB.  Should I go Thunderbolt because I think it's faster?  I'm looking at Fantom and Lacie but I'm not sure what would work best for use with FCPX.

    Any tips or suggestions for these two manufacturers?

    Well, a disc of Tb2 (which takes care of your iMac) will offer excellent performances. If you need these speeds depends on really how ask your projects are. A USB3 drive will be fast enough for the vast majority of HD projects. Expect to spend more for the readers of Thunderbolt2.

    Non-Sport bands have different lengths, then check the circumference of your wrist and see Apple Watch Sizing Guide (that compares all the Apple strips) before you buy separate bands:

    Try them in an Apple Store, it's also a great option.

    The Sport of Apple Watch also has an anodized aluminum housing, while the non-sport bands have different metals of cards and/or links (this does not affect the compatibility, only appearance).
