HP Elite 8300 ultraslim: installation in HP Elite 8300 ultraslim MXM graphics

Install a MXM graphics card in HP Elite 8300 ultraslim.
I get 3 long beeps at first upward and the system does not start.
I know that you can install the MXM graphics card because your manuals describe the abduction in the disassembly section. "" Also in the manual for "Illustrated Parts & Service map" it says "AMD Radeon HD 7650 (MXM) 687445-001" which is the exact video card I have.
Already updated to the latest firmware bio

Now, I think that the problem is that I use 135 W adapter instead of the 180 W power adapter.
Just ordered spare parts see if that fix it. I would like to thank everyone for their help, but because nobody helped me I have to think. Great job well done HP

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE 547c: upgrade graphics card for HP Elite

I tried to replace/upgrade to update my graphics card for my desktop PC. I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-420 old graphics card?

Hello people, I just ordered the Pavilion Elite HPE-420 with the specs:

    CPU: i7 870 2.93 ghz.

Graphics card: Nvidia gt230 1.5 GB

    RAM: 6 GB ddr3

    Hard drive: 1.5 to

OS: windows edition Home premium 64-bit

Overall, not a bad pc, but "HP" made a huge mistake by using the Gt 230 graphics card since it is a remake of the geforce 9600 gt card? The gt 230 is not really a card you want in your system, these days, I have good or I am completely wrong?

BTW, I play a lot of games...

The HP HPE-420nl is here.  Other models of the HPE-420 have an ATI 5450 which is a 2.0 card.

Up to what series Gtx is compatible with this model on computer? I tried to install a Gigabyte Gtx 960 card to my pc and it was not compatible. I have read similar problems for older models of PC and I was wondering the compatibility for this particular model range.  In addition, Gtx 750ti will be compatible with this model?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Your PC is a PC old BIOS and most new graphics cards are active UEFI.

Most, if not all of the NVIDIA GTX 7xx and 9xx series graphics cards with some exceptions will not work on your PC. The BIOS of your PC is not compatible with these graphics cards.

The NVIDIA GTX 660 with a 600 Watt power supply will be all that you can do better.  The NVIDIA GTX 670 and 680 can also work, but they can be finicky in older PCs.

Everything will be probably, but it's going to be very tight because the size of your cabinet is a small Tower.  The 470 from NVIDIA will put a lot of heat.  You may encounter some problems of movement of heat and air because of the size of your wardrobe.  Open it and take a look and see for yourself.  If you update you have to flow with the side panel or install another fan of the firm.

Food you mentioned is evaluated to 40 amps on the 12 volt bus.  EVGA GTX 470 recommends eating at least 38 amps on the bus + 12 volts.

  • Installation of D110A freezing at spnining cd graphic

    Hello
I have a printer D110a connected to my network. When I try to run the program to install downloaded drivers (Basic or complete), it freezes at the spinning cd image. I installed this printer successfully on other computers in the House before. I tried to launch the level uninstall program 4 and rebooted, but that did not work. Any help?

I am running windows 7 64 bit on a processor intel i5 2500 k with a nvidia geforce gtx 680 video card, and I have 8 GB of RAM if that helps.

    Update:
I managed to fix it. Given that the main installer wouldn't run, what I've done

first to remove all instances of the printer on the network portion of my computer, I then used the Installation Wizard HP printers network found here:
    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=19656&lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=13037&prodSeriesId=27908&TaskID=135

and I found my printer on the network. I went to install, and asked that the driver files. I took the driver Installer, extract the files in a folder separate with winrar, and then selected the D110 .inf file with the wizard. Finally, the wizard completes the installation of the printer and the printer is now show correctly on Microsoft Word, Notepad, etc.

  • HP 8000 Elite sff: drivers update... not so simple anymore.

OK, I admit, I'm late. I'm just trying to update an HP 8000 Elite Win 7 pro x 64 pre-installed, and I used just go to "drivers and software" and choose the newest one. NOW, when I get my pc and os, I gives me FIVE choices for the graphics driver, and I don't have any idea what's best for me. I'm fairly certain that I'm not supposed to download all THE I don't play a lot, and I don't think that I have all the cards installed, but graphics is not just for the games. I just want the best all around graphics driver every day.

And, while I show my ignorance, let me add: I checked for an update of the bios, and there were FOUR choices. How can the world be FOUR choices of update of the bios on a specific computer and os?  Thank you

    Hello:

I have 8000 Elite CMT.  W10 works very well.  I add an AMD Radeon HD 6570 in mine, however.

If your 8000 Elite SFF have no graphics cards, they have integrated Intel HD graphics card.

If you want to add a video card, I recommend for models SFF, map of chart AMD Radeon HD 6450 low profile with media of low profile, which is the graphics card optionally used on the 8200 Elite SFF with the same 240 W power supply.

So if your PC lacks a graphics card in option, you want this driver Intel graphics for W7:

I'm happy that I came across this thread, because I thought I had the latest BIOS update on my 8000 Elite and I see one is out after during a four-year hiatus, in November.

So I've just updated the BIOS of my PC using the procedure I will explain then.

I've made it simple for you both to update the BIOS by using the following instructions, and I also zipped and attached the file for BIOS, you need to perform the update.

It doesn't matter what operating system you use to Flash the BIOS as I do.

You will need a USB flash drive formatted with the FAT 32 file system.

Download and uncompress the file that I attached below.

Copy the files in the folder you have unzipped on your USB flash drive.  All the contents of the file, not the file.

Plug the USB key into one of the usb ports.

I recommend you disconnect all connected to the PC, but the keyboard, mouse, monitor and usb flash drive.

Restart the PC and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, press the F10 key to access the BIOS.

Select the file menu.  This menu is an option «Flash system ROM»

Select this option.  Then it will ask for CD or USB.

Select USB.  Now you should see the flash file visible on the screen of your USB flash drive.

Follow the prompts on the screen to Flash the BIOS.

    Restart the PC.

Upon restart, you should see the new 1.14 BIOS are displayed on the lower left side of the blue HP welcome screen.

  • Installation of Windows 7 Professional on Dimension 8300

Can someone tell me if I can load a new unused 32 bit OEM Full Version of Windows 7 Professional on a Dell Dimension 8300?  I'm looking at this version because it allows me to save a lot of $$.  I bought all the other updates required for memory, hard drive, sound card and graphics on this computer at Dell.  The operating system would be the only feature that would not be purchased from Dell.  I would also like to know what happens when I change the original hard drive.  I'm losing the info on this old drive when disconnected?  I was wondering if I can put it back in if I have problems with the installation of Windows 7 on the new hard drive.  I did a full backup of the old hard drive.

Another thing, Dell support didn't warn me hardware virtualization that is not on this computer processor, so I think I have a few problems with the help of some of my old XP software.  Apparently you need virtualization in Windows 7 XP mode.  It's a big problem for me because most of the software I have bought is for XP.  What happened to backward compatible programs that meet the needs of all.  Guess I'll have to take that with Microsoft.

It's been almost 2 years since this was posted.  For the record: I installed Windows 7 Professional (purchased at Microsoft) and the OS works fine on Dell 8300.  Made all of the changes recommended before installation, the disk (500 GB), sound card, graphics card, etc.  System worked without problem for 2 years and just about everything that I need to work that has been installed with Windows XP works!  Now, I'm trying to figure out if I can install a map update for USB 3.  Hope that this thread will help others who have kept their old system.  I think that the Dimension 8300 has been one of the few product really Dell computers that can be updated.  More big limits can be the IBM processor and motherboard.  By the way Dell initially told me that this computer will not work with Windows 7.
