HP elitebook 8530p battery

Hello, just ordered a new battery for my HP elitebook 8530p how long should I charge the battery before first use it is a brand new in the box battery and I have no idea how much time the first charge must be so, how well do the battery until I use it for the first time

Dear customer,

Welcome and thanks for posting your question on the Forum from HP Support.

Please recharge the battery until it shows fully charged to 100% and then start using it.

How to improve the life of a battery:

1. it is not advisable to use the laptop when the adapter is plugged

2. it is not advisable to keep the power supply plugged in even though the battery is fully charged

3. you must drain the battery completely before recharging it again

4. Power Plan must be set correctly for extended battery life

5. Please keep the brightness of the screen to the lower level

6. Please turn off the Wi - Fi Connection when not in service

7. remove the disc from the optical drive when not in use

Hope this helps, for other questions, please reply to the post and feel free to join us again.

  • Upgrade CPU Elitebook 8530p

    Hello

I got an opportunity here 8530p (GW682AV) running with a Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4. This would normally be enough CPU power, but for several reasons, I need a faster processor. And I don't want to buy a new laptop.

I had a look at a few web sites to research what is possible for this cute laptop and discovered that the fastest CPU ever integrated in the Elitebook 8530p was a T9600 2.8 GHz.

Now to my question. Intel produces CPU up to Core 2 Duo T9900 who use the same PGA478 socket. So normally this CPU should work. But:

The latest version of the BIOS of the Elitebook 8530p them support?

Each indicator of answeror is very appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

  • EliteBook 6930p: battery Elitebook 6930 2 not available

    Hello

I recently had a 6930p Elitebook which was once used as a computer professional, and I photographed it with a copy of Windows 7, I confess, and then upgraded to Windows 10. I noticed that when I click on the battery down to the left, it is said there are two batteries. Battery 1 seems to work fine, but 2 battery says it is not available for use. Is there something I can do to make the second battery work? I would like to improve the battery 1 battery lasts approximately 2 hours. Thank you.

That would be a trip or the 2nd battery battery.

  • EliteBook 8540w: battery - battery load, but not charging

    Hello

My HP elitebook 8540w works perfectly accept for one small thing, the battery. The laptop is bought in 2012.

When my battery is mounted and the AC is plugged in, it is said: connected Ac, battery charging. But in fact the battery in the logo remains static, and it does not charge. It's already a second new battery (first, I asked the supplier of spare batteries to send a new one, ordered through parts EET, accepted HP dealer for replacements).

When I run hp support assistant, he says: the battery is faulty, replace immediately.

Underneath, it gives the code: 9LN162-000000-XD7U3F-C0CU03

This was also the case with the previous "new battery." Same code.

I lost faith in the assistand of support from hp on this part, since it is already a second new battery...

I've tried all - remove driver for battery manager and holding down power button and other things.

Does not work. The fault could be in the laptop?

    Help, please?

    Niels

I contacted the service to call hp and they told me that the error code is not really explain anything about the specifics of the problem. It's probably the connection between the motherboard - battery and AC adapter plugin, because I tried different batteries, adapter, software reinstalls etc.

One thing however, HPA, he says that the status code is 0c. I have not encountered this code while browsing the web, you may know what it represents?

I will contact a repairman to do the hardware checks, since I am out of warranty.

    Thanks for your help!

  • EliteBook 8560w: battery slows down CPU

    Hello

My 8560w Elitebook has been extremely slow operation. After trying many different things, including getting a new HARD drive and install a new version of Windows 7 on it, without solving the problem. I finally found the source of the problem to be associated with. If I run the computer with the battery inserted, as now 94% complete, with the AC/DC adapter not plugged, the CPU is loaded at 50-100%. If I insert the AC/DC adapter, there is no change. If I can get the ut of the battery, on the fly, CPU load instantly falls to 2-3%. If I re - insert the battery, almost instantly reached 50-100% CPU load.

Searching the Internet, I find that I'm not the only one to see this problem on a HP laptop.

I ran the computer for a long time without the battery without the problem again, and it's very easy to recreate as explained above, + other reports similar questions, so I'm very certain about the problem as described.

What exactly is causing the problem, and why it loads CPU?
A battery replacement will not solve the problem, or is it related to internal hardware? (It is clearly a HW problem as a completely new and fresh win7 on a new HARD drive installation did not help)

    Thank you

    Thomas Nilsson

Today I received the new battery. Inserted on the fly and he showed plenty of 84%. The computer just don't continued to run normally, no slowdown as down with the original battery. So, I pulled out adapter, and the computer just don't continued to run normally, no sloing downwards. It worked like this for a while now without any problems.

Conclusion. The battery is somehow responsible, even if the computer reports no problems with her and she is almost fully charged.

  • EliteBook 8460p: battery not detected - update Bios?

Right now my Elitebook running WIN10 and I get a message that says no battery detected.  I read that possibly the BIOS update "might" help with this situation.

I looked at the details including the suggested site:

Date of revision of the BIOS - 26/08/2001

    BIOS Rev 68SCF worm. F.08

    Type of processor - Intel Core i5 - 2410 M CPU

I will be downgrading back to WIN7 PRO and back again to WIN10 as soon as my recovery disks are coming, but I wanted to know what Version of Bios should I download and install.  I want to get this right.

    Hi fkbsar1954,

If I understand your post of the BIOS on your lapop is currently F.08.  If that is correct, it would be hard to bet that your laptop is at least four years because the BIOS F.08 was released in August 2011. That would mean that there is a high probability of 'no battery detected' error was due to a defective battery, but for troubleshooting of sake, it would be a good step to update the BIOS because there have been 4 separate BIOS releases the correction of different battery problems. What is the recommended version I would recommend that you upgrade to the latest version, F.61, in order to ensure the best possible compatibility with Windows 10 account taken of your system does not officially support Windows 10. F.61 BIOS can be found here:

I got this laptop, now, my mother uses it.

It can operate up to 1920 x 1200 on VGA or HDMI external display.

    Tested it myself.

Maybe, it can run even higher resolution.

VGA has supposedly limitless resolution and HDMI 1.4 can run up to 4 k resolutions.

Do not know if the laptop supports higher resolutions of 1920 x 1200.

  • EliteBook 8570p: battery not charging - even if the computer appears to see that it is plugged

I have not found a suitable solution for this (yet).

As a backdrop, I just got my laptop under warranty returned by HP service for a problem with booting docked impasse.

They replaced the motherboard and the hard disk. I kept battery with me, so he did not travel to the service.

So I turn the computer to the test, to see if the boot at a standstill problem was software related, and I noticed that the battery does not load (network port is also not reliable, but maybe it's a different problem).

I tried the fix posted elsewhere where I uninstall the ACPI compatible batteries from the Device Manager. But that did not work.

This produces the same, whether the laptop is docked or connected directly to the power:

    1. the power low battery icon is displayed and AC plugged in.

    2. the battery charging light is orange.

    3. once I start first the power icon is animated, clearly showing that the battery is charging

    4. If the mouse on the icon of power, it lists that the battery is 23% (plugged in and charging)

5 but nothing changes. hours later the battery is always on display at 23%

    6. battery works. I can run off the battery voltage.

    7. the power supply works. I can run off AC only (with battery removed)

    Thank you

The saga has been longer than that. I got a new battery, but the problem persisted. I actually managed to charge the battery and it meets the same test on a laptop.

I called HP support and they suggested I have test the battery in diagnosis mode F2/system, outside of Windows.

The same battery would pass or fail depending on the State in which was the battery.

In any case the laptop wouldn't load any stack - on a platform or directly connected.

I could get a failure of the battery if the battery was less to, say 85% and the yellow light blinking load (load error).

I ended up sending the laptop in for repair - they think case somehow got distorted... but I'm not sure what they actually lair.  The motherboard was already replaced for other reasons.

  • HP elitebook 8530p

I have several HP 8530p and get the NumLock & cap lock LED will Flash 5 times indicating a Board of Directors of the general system error. Bought new boards still getting the same problem.  Note all units start up for windows very well, but there is a delay of 10-15 sec in response to the hard disk during pc usage. The mouse is responsive in real-time, but once clink you on an element of lag appears.  Need suggestions on what to look for the problem, CPU, memory changed, fans, cooling system.  BIOS versions have been updated, I have demolished unit, cleaned up and added the new paste heat for CPU, GPU and added the copper shims in order to promote the best heat transfer. The System Diagnostics indicates material is ok.

After testing my computers, I found that the power support as cuasing the issue. I had tested all the 8530p with this same food tested that work very well on other fine HP systems. I changed my power adapter all the 3 8530 computer laptop p are working fine now.

How to use finger locking and what software download please explain step by step

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

I do not have a business system, nor use the software Client Security - the program can always be called ProtectTools on your Windows version.

I can offer you the following Pages in your computer support - white paper guide is easy to read and easy to understand.  The document should give you a good understanding of the features of your program and may allow you to use the Client Security program on your computer.

    A couple of notes:

    Pages 12-13

Pre-seed security: often people who are locked out the pre-start safety are the owners of computers.  Either ware to outsmart yourself.  Think before you implement this "layer".  Unless you live in a dangerous environment or you are involved in a level of national or international espionage, you shouldn't pre-boot security, which is easy to break and could end up you locking.

SpareKey: Consider this insurance.  Some people forget to do.  It could save your back later.  To do this.

Off = no load (battery is fully charged).
