AC adapter / CC EliteBook 8530

We know how many wats the ac adapter must have for a HP elitebook 8530p some sites say 90 watts, others say thank you 120 watts, I bought a 90-Watt adapter to charge the phone, it will work or shoud I return it for version 120 watts?

Hello:

Your model, when the AC adapter is plugged in, the light load (at the front left of the laptop) shows the different States of charge.

Amber = load needs

Blue = charged

Off = no load (battery is fully charged).

You can also right-click the battery icon on the lower right side of the Windows task bar, which tells you the % of load, and if the power is plugged in and in charge,

    I very much hope that you guys can help...

    It's more of a problem, I asked yesterday to another place.

    http://forums.techguy.org/Windows-Vista/1133738-check-after-password-recovery.html

    Base information system:

    EliteBook 8530; works on Vista Business. More details about the system above thread

    But for a short rundown:

    -Yesterday my username-password was not accepted.

    -Was admin-access fingerprint

    -Ran Malbytes anti-malware and AVG anti-virus - neither found much.

    -New account admin, that is used to reset my password.

    -Posted the above topic, if someone could check the malicious processes.

    -Last night, shut down the computer as usual

    -This morning, he said that recently, a password has been reset [with certain place that I didn't know. Has my name in it twice, then maybe password root or something?

    -Only option was to click 'OK' and then enter HP Sparekey.

    -Currently I have the following message: some users are not enrolled for HP SpareKey recovery. You want to register now? Response-options: Yes; No.; Do not show again.

    I don't know the consequences or effects of the any of them - if not yet did nothing.

    Note: I don't think that one of the accounts have HP SpareKey registered. I have never seen on this subject before.

    However, I got my laptop through a University program, so etc operating system has been pre-installed.

    Problem solved thanks to a gentleman of assistance HP responding very quickly.

    Heh - I'll be sure to buy a HP next time, great service!

  • AC adapter / CC / Elitebook 8730W-can I use 200W safely?

    I have a laptop EliteBook 8730w. It comes with an external adapter Smart AC 120 watts to 150 watts.

    A friend gave me a 200W power adapter replacement which was originally for the 8740w. It matches my 8730w but is it safe to use as it is of a higher power than the original?

    I talked to HP Support and they advised its fine to use the adapter of 200W. Since they are intelligent adapters, they are made to reduce power regardless of the laptop needs. That is, if the laptop is peaks at 150 w or 90W then the adapter will only provide that much.

  • Welcome in Vista screen gets stuck on the circle of rotation (cannot connect)

    Can someone help me pleeeeease! My job is at stake here...

    An organization of 100 employees, Vista 32 bit Service Pack 2 running on the desktop HP DC 5800, Elitebook 8530 p.

    Each user has own individual CAC card to access the machines.

    While trying to connect on individuals put their cards cac inside their cac reader that is aVAC chip card reader HP.

    Then screen then rises over 85% of the machines to say welcome and stays there for the time period of 10 to 45 minutes while the circle turns around, until the user must turn the machine off.  Once that they power the machine off then comes back upward and may or may not work.

    I would be greatly appreciated if someone who can help me with ideas to solve this problem.

    Have you contacted HP support on this issue?

    Its possible that it is a driver problem with the Smartcard Reader of ACC HP or there is a problem of authentication on Windows Server.

    Click Start > type in the search box > display the event log > click on the result and to identify any error and criticism during the time that you are having crashes on your machine.

    If you can post back with events, we can narrow down the cause of the problem.

    You will need to start safe mode for this information.

    How to disable the card wireless using the key, you must read the user manual.

    I have a 6930p which was the model that preceded the 8440p and there is a black band with a few icons lit above the keyboard and mine has a blue icon wireless.  If I touch that, it becomes orange which means that the wireless is turned off.

  • HP EliteBook 8560p: can not turn on WiFi: the button is orange, and nothing happens when you press

    Hello

    I have a problem with my wifi. The button always orange and nothing happens when I press on it: no errors, no message, no reaction at all. This is why I can't use WiFi.

    The laptop is a little new: I use only 2 months.

    1. number and product name

    HP EliteBook 8560p
    НР LQ589AW

    2 operating system installed (if applicable)

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    3. error message (if any)

    No error message

    4. all changes made to your system until the problem occurred

    My windows crashed and I got it from archive created a few days ago. Archive includes all data from hard drives, the system has been restored exactly as it was before the accident. I still don't know if this caused the problem (or if the problem occurred after that): it happened a month ago, and I had no WiFi available at the time and only tried to turn it on a few days ago.

    Additional details:

    In device manager wireless card is appearing as functioning normally. In the management of the adapter Wi - Fi is on but says "no connection available. If I run diagnostic tests, he asks me to activate WIFI with a button on my laptop, which I can't do. In Mobility Center, it says "connection Wi - Fi is turned off". Activate the button is gray and impossible to click on.

    I already tried things:

    1. Reinstalled all the HP drivers from original CD.
    2. Card WiFi removed in the windows Device Manager (remove device), restarted windows, installed new drivers for it, rebooted again;
    3. Checked the mobility Center as suggested in one of the threads available on this forum;
    4. Do a hard reset for HP laptop (battery removed, push the button and hold for a minute).

    Thanks for any help!

    Anatoliy.

    I managed to solve the problem...

    Turns out that the problem was (apparently) caused by HP Power Assistant tool shipped with my laptop. Default profile has been showing the gray bluetooth and WiFi, and it was not possible to turn them on. I created a new profile, and even if all the parameters are identical to the default profile, it allows me to turn the BT and WiFi and turn off without any problems. Button is working fine now as well and goes from blue to orange when I press it. Active WiFi and it works.

    I hope this helps.
