Photosmart 6520: Photosmart 6520, plain paper, quick project

during the last eighteen months, I did most of my black and white and color printing "pre-printed, quick project" under Presets. I also had the possibility of Photo paper, plain paper, Best Paper and plain black and white. I went on vacation and since returning I lost this election. I now have the choice of the project B & W B & W or color (sic!)

Printing on plain paper, quick project is ideal for most of my impression that frequently included spot color. In order to print anything with color now, I have to use a lot more ink. I'm assuming that something has been updated while I was away, I can turn the clock back? I use Microsoft Office for Mac on an iMac and MacBook Pro. On the MacBook, the printer is Photosmart 6520 series but grayed out and Photosmart 6520 series (5AE5SCE), which is what shows on my iMac. (I got the MacBook Pro with me on vacation) Help please.

Oops, sorry for the confusion...

Just keep the color and enable Fas project listed, plain paper should already be default, or you can select in the form, then save the settings as the required preset.

Kind regards

Shlomi

Any suggestions on how to print a picture on plain paper from an iPhone or a Mac to a Photosmart 6510?

    Hello

If you use AirPrint, the default printer for the photo for a photo paper tray. Your best option is to use the application of e-Print HP - with this application, you can select the paper size and source.

  • Photosmart 7510 - will not print black on any parameter of photo paper (does not print on plain paper setting)?

HP Potosmart 7510, printing from a memory card.  Using premium photo paper (glossy), set printer to print on HP Premium Plus Photo), printing out with Black/Brown areas in the blue-green instead of black.  Printing using plain paper, set printer on regular paper, just fine.    Same thing happens when I tried Advanced Photo and a Photo paper - print comes out with a blue-greenish cast in areas that should be black/brown.

Tried to print a black and white photo - identical to all other attempts - if the choice of the photo options paper, the dark areas are blue/green.

Comment - then try printing from the computer (wireless), produced the same result - black areas are printed in blue-greenish.

Tried cleaning the cartridges, alignment printer, print quality status report looks very good.

Door on this forum and general web search.  Nothing has yet solved problem.

What should I do?  Any ideas/suggestions?

Yes, this is the case on a 7510.  I worked on the answer.  Although "ink" diagnostice demonstrates both the black and the cartridges 'photo black' as being low, the 'black photo' was apparently empty.  The black of the photo must be called only because when the print properties are defined for the "photo paper", and when it is empty the black dark areas print in blue-green.  I thought that the black photo cartridge was a gray, for most thin shades grey, but maybe it's an intensifier of some sort.  It's a shame that HP does publish no real information.

  • Photosmart HP 7520 - erasure of the tapes through photo printed on plain paper to A4

    Montain Lion 10.8.1 operating system

I want to print some black and white photos on plain paper in A4 format and each time it prints with about 1.5 cm wide strips all the way across the paper in different shades of black (e.g. pale and dark).

The tapes show vertical here because the page was printed in landscape mode.

I cleaned and aligned to the printhead about 4 times but the problem persists.  Even when I print the print quality diagnostics page, it shows the same bands on the color blocks.

This is what it looks like:

Hi stix4, thank you very much for your answer.

All I have is genuine HP cartridges. I just tried (and managed to get to the HP Technical Support!)

Had to go into the service menu and proceed with the instructions given, but the problem persists.

They are sending me a new printhead that I hope will sort the problem.

    Once again, thanks a lot

  • All-in-one HP Photosmart C4150 says paper when it is not

All-in-one HP Photosmart C4150 said paper when it is not. I reload paper and press ok and get the same answer

In general, this is due because the rollers of the printer is dirty, or are not engage as they should. The document below should help you to solve the problem. If this does not work, you can have a sensor or other mechanism, out and need to replace the printer. Let me know what happens.

  • Photosmart B8550 'in paper' message.

My HP B8550 continues to tell me it is out of paper, yet all the bins are full.  It is trying to load the paper, but then returned with 'Out of Paper' error message when it tries to print.  It's only a year old (out of warranty) a slightly used.  I cleaned the rollers as HP suggests, but still does not work. Any suggestions?

OK - my problem is solved!

After talking with HP support and said that I should buy a new printer since mine was out of warranty, I decided to try the method of the 'Hammer '.  It was to raise the upper tray and forcing the paper into the lower (with my finger) tray in the feeding mechanism that the printer was trying to load a sheet.  Bingo, it worked like a charm, and it now feeds photo paper and plain paper very well in both trays.  For you all the people who seem to have a similar document from supply problems, give it a try - it could just you save the cost of a new printer.

  • In plain paper Photo quality is terrible...

    Hello

First of all, excuse me my bad English.

I have a Photosmart Premium C309g, and I have problem with printing photos using plain paper. The colors are horrible.

If I print a normal document, such as a table excel with graphics, the colors are correct.

If I print a photo that the glossy paper, the quality is excellent. Perfect. I used the paper provided with your printer.

However, if I print the same photo for a plain paper, the colors are little different. I'll try to explain: it's like red is a little more pink, Brown had a little yellow, some white - as in the shade - go blue... It's like the right color but incorrect tone (?).

I know, it's hard to explain but I really need help.

I tried the new installation of driver using a laptop and the same thing happen.

I tried new cartridges (the old cartridges still have ink) but the same thing happen.

I tried to clean the print head using the Toolbox of the printer, but nothing changes, except the ink level.

My old HP 1510 print photos perfectly plain paper

The problem also happens on Linux...

Windows 7 x 64 / latest version of the drivers.

When printing on photo paper, that the photo black ink is used, the normal black is used for plain paper.  The question that you see may be due to the normal black print does not correctly.

See thesteps in this troubleshooting documentation.  In Solution 6, colors appear correct?  If the troubleshooting steps in the page above do not correct the problem, then thepage here can solve the problem

  • HP 7550 insert plain paper error

I've owned an HP 7550 photosmart printer for years and it always worked flawlessly, until recently. After inserting the two new original HP print cartridges, I get a message saying "inserer insert plain paper, then press OK" for calibration. After the insertion of plain paper and press OK, the printer goes through some type of mechanical alignment, breaks for about 3-4 minutes full, then pulls the paper making it appear that she would begin the calibration page, but nothing happens and I get the message "insert plain paper and press OK" again. When I press the OK button, the paper advances about 1/8 "inch, then the message appears again. This process is repeated again and again until what I hit the OK button enough times to get the paper on the rollers of the printer. No calibration never takes place. I tried to re-creation (disconnect), different papers, different cartridges, nothing worked to correct this situation. Help, please.

Hello. Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, I fixed the problem by doing a little research on troubleshooting printers. I found a Web site called ehow.com, under "How to reset cartridges HP 74". Although these aren't the cartridges used in the 7550, the process that I follow has corrected the problem. I had a hunch that it might be a faulty cartridge, even if all of the cartridges that I put in we are new. Troubleshooting suggested a way to test each 3 cartridge one by one by removing all 3 then insert one cartridge at a time and see if it prints the calibration page. He worked and printed a page of calibration or alignment for each cartridge inserted except black #56 one. This is when the printer has frozen. I replaced this new cartridge with a brand new and it works fine now. So much worse the error message on the screen didn't tell me what was the real problem, as "#56 cartridge is defective! Thanks again for you suggestion. Very much appreciated.

  • envy7640: want 7640 printer does not print photos on plain paper

All of a sudden, I can't print a picture on plain paper - guard asks me to load the photo paper tray, even though preferences set for plain paper printing and plain paper is selected in the print window.  (These are not photos but documents scanned in JPEG format by others, so I just want what they free paper).  Regular printing and all other functions work fine.

First of all, I use pictures of MS Office or Windows Photo Viewer Manager or just called photo library.  All three seem to be essentially the same program with different names and are pretty basic.

The setting in my default printer via control center/devices/Printers Windwos options has always been the main tray (and has always been), so I thought that everyone must be thin and thought why this person tell me to do what I've done?

So I dug deep into the programs print options and indeed saw the photo tray has been chosen.  The real mystery is how, in these programs, the status bar setting went from main to photo. I did that, and I don't see how he could have accidentally changed. You see, I have photos properly printed on plain paper before using these programs, so I know - now - that they should have been put to the main tray.  Maybe I'll never know.

But no matter, you answer prompted me to explore more deeply, and voila, all is well now.

    Thank you.

  • Hp5940 DeskJet not print envelopes but will be printed on plain paper

I used an old win98 computer with my HP5940 printer and it worked fine.  Now I have a win XP computer and downloaded and installed the appropriate drivers. The printer works fine except it does not print envelopes. It will be however print address and return address on plain paper to the correct size.

    Hi Red-3,.

I don't really know why it is not printing the envelope on the model, but working on the other model.

I would like to change the type of paper to the size of the paper to see if that will deceive drivers by impression on her, instead of the envelope.

I had this job for Laserjet printers.

If the problem persists, then I recommend you to call the HP Technical Support for further assistance, they can remotely in the computer to see more of what's going on. Call the 800-474-6836. • How can I copy a quick project on the 4500 WANT?

How can I make copies using a fast draft mode when I copy on the 4500 ENVY.  the mini display of the printer doesn't have a quick project option.  my HP 5514 do not have this option on its touch screen (but the broken printer after only 23 years - hoof of bad printhead that stop all printing in black ink).

I can control the function of copy for quick project on my Mac?  I saw a copy option in the controls of printing... There is possibility to print quick project to print a document from my Mac... but a window control to "copy".

    Thank you

    Hi BishopC,

I understand that you need a 4500 are you willing to make copies of project type. I will certainly do my best to help you with this problem!

Once you choose to copy on the front panel of the printer, scroll to the bottom of the Menu copy and you will see a clear/more darker option. There, you can choose lighter, and who would be the equivalent of a draft mode.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

    Hello again-

I am pleased to learn that the passage is a practical solution for you.

The other possible solution which seemed to be a finding a setting under print quality-> Optimize-> light Media and put on IT.

I don't have a CM6040MFP to check this setting, but it's just an alternative to consider.

Personally I have found that a high coverage near the leading edge of the media, some printers can sometimes cause an increased rate of jam.  So I think that your shift is a viable solution.

    Good luck!

Went to the local Agent of HP where he advised, that I need a new print head which cost about the same as a new printer... quite disappointed because my printer is 3 years old.  I did not had the extended warranty, believing the printers HP are reliable sound for at least 4 years.

Have now bought a new printer HP hopes this solves my problems
